AK 48: Why r people not seeing what I m seeing? You know sometimes it wouldn't hurt to do some personal research on google before talking a lot of trash here , after all google is your friend . There is this MISCONCEPTION that dangote is the HERO of Nigeria's manufacturing industry and the only one responsible for employing millions of unemployed youths , while the latter is true its also wise to take note of the fact that MORE COMPANIES AND COMPETITION = MORE EMPLOYMENT and if dangote keeps suppressing other smaller companies willing to get into the Sugar and Cement industry then how do we increase the employment rate in the Nation ?FYI dangote does IMPORT cement : https://i.imgur.com/cdRtx.jpg If he is the HERO and the GOOD man some people paint him to be then why are the FG also accusing him of suppressing the competition ? http://www.thenationonlineng.net/2011/index.php/law/49039-fed-govt-dangote-in-legal-battle-over-cement-import-waiver.html https://i.imgur.com/vfiVI.jpg P:s: If you are unemployed get a job or make one ![]() |
I'm not trying to bring up tribalism here but i'll have to say it like it is . I'll put it this way : The yoruba's detested Soludo and supported Sanusi for tribal reasons obviously , some say na because dem be awusa boy boy .....whatever anyway but as soon as they got to know the real sanusi and his hatred for them and the fact that he actually believes the YORUBA'S ARE THE PROBLEM OF NIGERIA then they decided to switch back to Soludo's side like the slimey b!tches they are . So Most people from the South East / South South feel Soludo is the best because well HE IS THE BEST , he actually reformed our banking system and created a capital market financial boom while most people from the North feel Sanusi is the best because of their RELIGIOUS BIAS and well that leaves us with the Yoruba man and now this is a tough one because the yoruba man is as slippery as an eel and is known to switch support / allegiances more than the average corner side Ashawo so i cannot tell you who the yorubas think is better among both of them. In the Morning the Yoruba man would say "SANUSI is better than that omokobokobo , omo -Igbo" and in the night they would say "SOLUDO is better than that gworo chewing ,Islamic extremist, Rag-headed Aboki" So there you have it. |
ezeagu: I'm really tired of this inferiority complex by Africans. It has to stop. There isn't any prestige in European women dancing your dances. None of their people give a shit if you line-danced. Look at how they've given the women special privilege to dance on their own like their superior to native women. Then you wonder why a German or even an Indian comes to your country and sets dogs on you.^^^^^^^^^^^ https://michaelnorthrop.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/thumbs-up-chuck.gif |
Sun of god: Interesting - Negotiating with terrorists?Haha that's the mistake we are about to make . Negotiating with the terrorists wouldn't stop Nigeria from becoming an Sharia republic , it would only set us on the PATH to becoming one because once we negotiate with the terrorists we would have played the cards they've been waiting for by acknowledging their strength and presence , you have made them feel relevant . The Terrorists would make ridiculous demands THEY KNOW the government wouldn't accept and when the dialogue breaks down the terrorists would have found an excuse to increase their bombing campaign . Mali's government made the same mistake by double speaking : On one end they promised to squash the Islamists , on the other end they promised to negotiate with them and now look at the mess in Mali. http://www.thenationonlineng.net/2011/index.php/news/52669-i%E2%80%99ve-contacts-of-boko-haram-members-for-dialogue-%E2%80%93-dasuki.html The National Security Adviser, retired Col. Sambo Dasuki said on Wednesday in Jos that he had contacts of key Boko Haram leaders for possible dialogue with the group. Dasuki, who spoke in Jos during a meeting with stakeholders in Plateau, said that he was planning to meet with the group on the need for it to cease fire and embrace dialogue as soon as possible. ``I was in Yobe and Borno States last week and I have got the telephone numbers and contacts of key Boko Haram members and I will meet with them. ``I saw the dangerous effect of Boko Haram in these states and what I saw was pathetic. " But I have the mandate to put heads together with religious and traditional leaders as well as the state governments to ensure an immediate ceasefire,” THE News Agency of Nigeria quoted Dasuki as saying at the meeting. According to him, he is in Plateau for on-the-spot assessment of the security challenges and in furtherance of the Federal Government’s peace efforts, particularly across the northern part of the country. He expressed confidence that the people of Plateau could put their problems behind them and forge ahead with genuine peace and reconciliation. ``I have a stake in Plateau because I have lived in Pankshin and Jos when my father resided here. So if we lived peacefully way back then, it is possible to go back to those good old days. ``Before now, it is difficult for me to believe that you can see a Fulani and Berom man together on the street of Plateau fighting. '' But the presence of various ethnic and religious groups at this parley is a pointer to the fact that we want to forge ahead.” In his remarks, Governor Jonah Jang regretted that the emergency rule in the state had not achieved the intended effect as the attacks on the affected local government areas had continued unabated. On dialogue with Boko Haram, Jang said that it was difficult to dialogue with the group since its leaders and members were not known. He therefore urged the group to come out and identify itself. ``We only hear that Boko Haram claims responsibility for this and that attack but we never heard anybody coming out to say he is Boko Haram. ``We know the Niger Delta militants had leaders and a cause they were fighting for which made late President Umaru Yar’Adua to succeed with the amnesty programme but, who is Boko Haram?” Jang alleged that some influential people were behind the sect in view of the sophistication of its operations and insisted that the sponsors must be dealt with by the appropriate authority. In his remarks, a member of the House of Representatives, Bitrus Kaze, alleged insincerity and lack of will on the part of the government to implement various reports on Jos crises. ``In the last 10 years, no single person has been convicted for the crisis on the Plateau. "So what you have is a situation whereby the assailants have become hardened and continued to carry on with the attacks with impunity,” Kaze said. The parley had in attendance, traditional, religious and community leaders, heads of security services, women, youth groups, and government functionaries, among others. |

https://cdn.pmnewsnigeria.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/Olatunde-Obasa-badly-scald.jpg http://pmnewsnigeria.com/2012/07/03/woman-pours-hot-water-on-step-son/ Eighteen years old Olatunde Obasa is currently fighting for his life in a hospital as his step-mother Mrs. Kemi Ajasa allegedly poured hot water on him at Igando area of Lagos, Southwest Nigeria. Several parts of Olatunji’s body have been badly scalded as a result of the hot water poured on his body. Olatunde Obasa, badly scalded by the hot water poured on him by his step-mother. Mrs Ajasa was said to have fled the house after carrying out the dastardly act and threw the family into confusion. Brother of the victim, Medley Ajasa has written a petition letter to the Governor, Babatunde Fashola and copied the Commissioner for Justice and Attorney General, Commissioner of Police and the Chairman, Lagos Internal Revenue Service, LIRS, where the woman works. In the said letter, Medley required the assistance of the state government in ensuring that justice was done. “On the morning of 27 June, 2012, my step-mother, Mrs. Kemi Ajasa (nee Osho), a staff of Lagos State Internal Revenue Service (LIRS) attached to the Headquarters Annex at Ladipo Oluwole, Off Oba Akran road, doused my younger brother of 18 years old, Olatunde Ajasa, with boiled water. “As I write, my brother Tunde Ajasa is bed ridden in the hospital, fighting for his life, while my step-mother, Mrs. Kemi Ajasa after boasting that nothing can be done to her, has since moved out of the house and cannot be found,” he said in the letter. “The facts of the matter are as follows: on the night of 26 June, 2012, I got a call from my brother, Tunde Ajasa. While crying on the phone, he explained to me that my step-mother threatened to kill him because he scolded her three-year old daughter for making a mess in his room,” he said. He alleged that as a result of the action of his brother, his step-mother beat him up, broke bottles and threatened to stab him and that she would have succeeded but for the timely intervention of his father, uncle and his uncle’s wife. “My uncle then took my step-mother along with him so that my younger brother would be allowed to sleep in the house that night. “My step-mother returned to the house in the early hours of 27 June, 2012 with my uncle and everyone assumed that she had calmed down sufficiently. While my uncle and my father were discussing in the living room, they didn’t know that my step-mother had boiled water which she then proceeded to pour on my brother,” he alleged. “ My brother screamed and passed out immediately. He has since been rushed to Bee-Hees Hospital at number 155, Akowonjo Road, Egbeda. My step-mother boasted as my brother was rushed to the hospital that she is well connected in Lagos State and that nothing can be done to her. “We reported the matter at Igando Police Station where the Investigating Police Officer, IPO, Inspector Bamidele, took my statement. All efforts to locate my step-mother after this incident proved abortive. My family is deeply distressed as my brother lies in the hospital writhing in pains and fighting for his life. “We therefore plead with the Lagos State Government and the relevant authorities to help us ensure that this woman is brought to justice. As law abiding citizens, we have laid a complaint at the police station and we believe that the police will do their best but we would appreciate if the Lagos State Government can also ensure that justice is speedily served on Mrs Kemi Ajasa,” Medley stated in the letter. A police source at Igando Police Station confirmed that the incident was reported at the station and that the victim was badly burnt as a result of the hot water poured on him. Since the incident occurred, Mrs. Ajasa had not reported at her work place. Our reporter was told by some staff at the LIRS that she had not reported for work since last week. When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer in Lagos State, Ngozi Braide confirmed the story, saying that Mrs Ajasa was arrested last night and that she was being detained at the Igando Police Station. |
billante: Thats the vision and what peter obi is doing....spreading development all through anambra by building rural roads and bridges, making anambra a multi town developed state unlike what enugu is! but his critics here in nairaland and el rufia&company will rather want him to concentrate on awka and make it as beautiful as enugu while other towns and villages are neglected.... common sense wont tell them is better to have an average all town developed state than having an only one or two 5 star city developed stateNo offense my bro but Anambra state is aeons behind Enugu . I have friends in anambra state and they all have NOTHING good to say about Peter Obi . Peter Obi spends state resources sponsoring Tv station coverage of developments in anambra state and when i say developments i mean commissioning a borehole or a tap Please lets not turn this into a state comparison thread . ROSSIKE: Please reserve your dirty comments for your mother and father who obviously failed to raise you properly.I see you haven't gone into your cage yet MR MONKEY . Construction boom ko construction boom ni . I travel a lot and one thing i can tell you is that in each and EVERY ONE of these construction sites , the contracts are ALWAYS handed out to Julius berger or Chinkos or indians and you are here telling me the youths are shunning the "construction boom" . I asked you in the failed states thread HOW IGNORANT AND STUP!D CAN YOU BE ? or do you think ANYONE can just work in a construction site ? My friend FYI PROFESSIONALS are hired to work on these construction sites . You seem to have this "I TOO KNOW" personality whereas you know nothing , nada , zilch . The Agricultural sector can employ hundreds of youths to either water the crops , pick the crops , apply pesticides ETC . i would like to see the day your fictitious "construction boom" does that and let me ask you this question WHAT HAPPENS TO THE TEMPORARY JOBS YOUR SO CALLED "CONSTRUCTION BOOM" CREATES WHEN THE CONSTRUCTION / ROADS ARE COMPLETED ? ABI NA EVERYDAY DEM GO DEY BUILD SOMETHING ? OGA USE YOUR BRAIN. #THINK |
bashr8 : your mentally challenged for writting this trap , who told you enugu and south east dont produce their own food. enugu have the largest poultry and fresh fish farms in nigeria ,i bet you dont know that it supplies ph and other states accross the nation with poultry products , red oil ,garri, maize ,cashew and cahsew nuts.as a matter of fact the economy of enugu is agricultural based , people like you just dont know it, government still have loans pilled up in bank and equipments for idle people like u to collect and contribute but u rather come and bash them .Did you at least read the post PROPERLY before commenting ? i know the south east has agricultural products WHAT i meant was that instead of OUR NEIGHBOURS to wait for products to come from the North (products such as Onions , peppers , "abuja yam" ;Detc) we can cash in on these products if we INVEST heavily in agriculture and supply neighbouring states . Most of you here act impulsive and reply without reading properly and besides the products we currently produce are in minimum quantity . what stops our governors from HEAVILY investing in a sector that keeps a lot of african countries thriving ? |
Keep deceiving yourself, while drunk with celebration of fallacy. Ofcos there is nothing to celebrate yet in my home state of enugu. Its still a dry town without money and major business investments. rather SA machineries has come to rob our enterprising people their daily bread. I bet you all these shoprite your killing yourself with, will soon go the way of UAC, Mr Biggs, Lennards and the rest of them and our people will be laid out and dumped again. Just wait small and see. The earlier we empower our people agriculturally by providing the necessary rural road infrastructures that is heavily at deficit in enugu state the better we will all become. Check it again: Abia- has oil and gas Imo- has oil and gas Anambra -has oil and gas including refinery Ebonyi- has agriculture Enugu- Tourism , Agriculture , Coal and limestone Now tell me in clear terms what has Enugu? Enugu state has nothing instead we are celebrating few KM of roads tarred in the urban center, start facing reality for once, the error we fail to correct today will hurt us in the near future. Already Enugu state is listed among the financially incapacitated and weak states. Keep busy bro
You made some nice points but at the end you turned it into an "Enugu bashing" post . You are being too emotional about this . As far as i am concerned ENUGU remains the BEST state in the south east in infrastructures and living condition but i feel Enugu and other south eastern states can do better if they invest in a sector that naturally create jobs for youths and also generates internal revenue for example agriculture |
ROSSIKE: What valid points has he made? If youths are unemployed as he claims why doesn't he go and start a business in Enugu and employ a couple of youths? It's not government's job anywhere in the world to ''employ youths''. That's the job of private business people. It's even nonsense to claim that ''youths are unemployed''. All those buildings and roads being built there, is it old men from the village that are involved in their construction? A construction boom such as is clearly evident there means there are jobs for those who want to work. I see you've been trying to get back at me since i whupped your behind in that "Nigeria ranked #14 in failed states" thread. Why don't i go and start a business and employ youths in enugu?well i would love to but in case you haven't realized Nigeria is a "cash at hand" economy meaning if you don't have money no institution or bank would be willing to loan it to you except you are some influential individual . All those buildings and roads being built there, is it old men from the village that are involved in their construction? A construction boom such as is clearly evident there means there are jobs for those who want to work.Do you know how MANY youths could gain employment if the south east experiences an agricultural boom ? Tea (yes TEA)keeps Countries such as Burundi afloat and its actually their major export ,Cocoa=Ivory coast and for your information these are COUNTRIES surviving off agriculture now imagine how rich and economically attractive a STATE would be if they invest in agriculture? If the east invests heavily in Agriculture INSTEAD of neighbouring regions / states in the SOUTH SOUTH to wait for products to come from the North they would easily buy those agricultural products from the south east and we can also export cash crops abroad. Mr Rossike i hate to say this but everyday you keep making me believe you are an ape with downs syndrome . |
Instead of arguing about which state is the most beautiful in the south east why not argue about the economic viability of the state ? As far as i am concerned the entire south east needs to invest heavily in Agriculture , Fuel depots , Power (Electricity) and security . These four things would make the economic balance of Nigeria swing in the direction of the south east. Showing pictures of how beautiful your state is doesn't change the fact that the youths in the south east are unemployed neither does it change the fact that fuel pump price in the south east is one of the most expensive in the entire country . |
Hope we don't hear allegations of plagiarism soon. |
ROSSIKE: ^^Stay there and be drowning in your slavery and stupi.dity. If you had a working brain as opposed to being a smiling dunce, you would insist that FFP include in their criteria for 'failed state' such factors as relate to America/western nations' criminality - unprovoked warfare killing millions of innocents, manufacturing of nuclear weapons capable of destroying the planet hundreds of times over, sending deadly weapons around the world including chemical and biological weapons, assassination of foreign leaders who refuse to sell their nations to them, sponsoring armed insurrections against such leaders, global environmental degradation, supporting unelected dictators resulting in the suffering of millions of people etc etc.Hahaha you don't have anything to say again so now its back to the "slave mentality " conspiracy theory abi ? Anyway i should have listened to Mark twain right from the start .Never argue with stup!d people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.-Mark Twain |
Walexybobo: Lie! People like him are found in the east. Igbo people!
No be your okoro brother ?
adaybayor: Okoro again, shey all of you don turn gay? I sorry for you.Oh boy trust me you don't want to turn this into a tribal slugfest . I am ready to open a can of whupașș on you and your people . Trust me you don't want to start something you can't handle . |
The movie editors for yoruba movies can do better than this . Its shameful and shows just how unprofessional the yoruba movie industry is . |
SEGAD: I just really don't understand, which one is local government, state govt & federal government road in Lagos. I know any constructed roads in Lagos either local or federal road we ascribed them to Fashola govt. I can't really see different between ACN and PDP government. Fashola/Tinubu and all ACN state success stories are more on hype and publicity. Some PDP state goverment even perform far better than all these ACN, just that they don't really make noise e.g Enugu state. My brother God bless you . The average Nigerian has this naive mindset that anything PDP = bad , Anything ACN/ Opposition = good . As far as i am concerned Fashola and his praise singers are nothing more than empty barrels . I am not pro - PDP neither am i interested in party politics , I tend to base my analysis on the performance of a governor based on his INDIVIDUAL performance and not the performance / image his party has created . Fashola has clearly neglected Lagos mainland and has channeled all the money to Lagos island and his "eko atlantic city" project and its a shame that pro-BRF goons here on nairaland would rather sweep this under the carpet than talk about it. As far as i am concerned Imoke , Akpabio and Chime have all done as much (if not better than) as the ALMIGHTY "messiah" Fashola. How can you boast of your state being the economic hub of west africa when the roads and drainage system are in total ruins. |
Rossike :Actually it was US involvement in that region - supplying ALL sides to the conflict with arms, which led to the escalation. See, the USA wants unending war there, so that they can harness the resources of those regions, so they play off one side against the other etc. That's how it works, and there's even strong evidence of their involvement in the Boko Haram crises (and for the same reasons). See, until DUNCES like you get it into your thick skulls that these American private organisations are FRONTS which create these dubious lists of ''failed states'' PURELY for their OWN benefit and agenda, NOT YOURS, you will never get it.Here are some of the indicators FFP based their analysis of a failed state on : 1.Social indicators: Massive movement of refugees and internally displaced peoples: forced uprooting of large communities as a result of random or targeted violence and/or repression, causing food shortages, disease, lack of clean water, land competition, and turmoil that can spiral into larger humanitarian and security problems . Do we have this problem in Nigeria Mr Rosikke ? yes or no . 2.Legacy of vengeance-seeking group grievance: based on recent or past injustices, which could date back centuries. Including atrocities committed with impunity against communal groups and/or specific groups singled out by state authorities, or by dominant groups, for persecution or repression. Institutionalized political exclusion. Do we have this problem in Nigeria ? Yes or No. 3.Chronic and sustained human flight: both the "brain drain" of professionals, intellectuals and political dissidents and voluntary emigration of "the middle class." Growth of exile/expatriate communities are also used as part of this indicator. Do we have this problem in Nigeria ? Yes or No Economic indicators: 4.Uneven economic development along group lines :determined by group-based inequality, or perceived inequality, in education, jobs, and economic status. Also measured by group-based poverty levels, infant mortality rates, education levels. Does this remind you of a certain country called Nigeria ? 5.Sharp and/or severe economic decline : Collapse or devaluation of the national currency and a growth of hidden economies, including the drug trade, smuggling, and capital flight. Failure of the state to pay salaries of government employees and armed forces or to meet other financial obligations to its citizens, such as pension payments is this Common in Nigeria? yes or no 6. Widespread violation of human rights 7.Progressive deterioration of public services : a disappearance of basic state functions that serve the people, including failure to protect citizens from terrorism and violence and to provide essential services, such as health, education, sanitation, public transportation. Also using the state apparatus for agencies that serve the ruling elites, such as the security forces, presidential staff, central bank, diplomatic service, customs and collection agencies. Mr . The FFP has EVERY RIGHT to include Nigeria in the failed state list and i still think they did us a favour by placing Nigeria as #14 because as far as i am concerned Nigeria should be somewhere between number 1-5 . |
ROSSIKE: Mr chippychappy said:The fact that you went as low as insulting my parents just shows how uncivilized you are , your stup!dity, Invalid points and low IQ has vindicated the report . First of all if you took the timeout to look at the report online (from their website / wiki and not nairaland) you would have noticed that various countries on the graphical representation of failed states had various color indications . Nigeria had a lighter shade of red / orange and that color signifies ALERT . This report is clearly a warning to Nigeria but ignorant primates such as you would rather see this as a "smear campaign" while you wait for things to actually get TOTALLY MESSED UP before acting . Has Boko Haram recruited 100,000 child soldiers and displaced 4 million people in Nigeria? How dumb can you be ?? are you suggesting we wait until Boko haram recruit 100,000 child soldiers before you finally see that Nigeria is a failed state ? Case study : The Congolese government and people all saw the L.R.A / Rebel groups building up but choose to turn a blind eye and acted like ignorant f00ls ,Instead of tackling the menace swiftly and decisively they choose to paint the "all is well" false image and today look at Congo . If Nigeria doesn't act on this report we might just turn out to be the next "congo" in a few years. You're mentioning Somalia. Do you actually have the slightest FUCcKING idea what life is like in SOMALIA, a place that's not had any sort of government for the past 20 years?Religious extremists , Islamic fundamentalist , Warlords , Terrorist groups , Poverty , Starvation all of these things led to the collapse of Somalia and if you can take a good look around you (or maybe pick up a newspaper because i am guessing you know nothing about the life of an average Nigerian )you would notice that all these factors are present in Nigeria. We don't have to wait for things to get worse before we act on them , i repeat this report is more of a warning than a smear campaign . It might also interest you to know that most countries that have found themselves in total ruins had their country listed on the failed states index at some point and they choose to ignore the report , The same thing r3tarded neanderthals such as yourself would have Nigerians do . I see what you are trying to do you are trying to act all patriotic and pro-Nigerian but seriously its not working and you are making a f00l of yourself . You can come down from your high horse one of these days and do a personal research / survey on how the average Nigerian feel about the country . |
ROSSIKE: ^^It's obvious you've never stepped foot in any of those countries otherwise your ignorant, dirty mouth would not mention them in the same breath as Nigeria.Oga shut your stup!d mouth . What makes Nigeria different from Somalia , Sudan , Congo or Iraq ? Here are some similarities between Nigeria and those countries: 1. Congo has the L.R.A and rebel groups - Nigeria has Boko haram and the Taliban / Jamaatu's whatever 2. Somalia has Islamist terrorists - Nigeria has Boko haram 3. Iraq has suicide bombers - Nigeria has suicide bombers . the list goes on from corrupt politicians to poverty to lack of infrastructure to suicide bombings and radical islamists . |
