patriot2: Actually you are wrong, you can't take control out of the hands of the majority unless you are willing to be the victim of a bloody revolution.Unfortunately he is right . Hausas conquered Kwara which was then predominantly Yorubaland and now the hausas control Kwara , its been that way for some centuries now . The Hausas in Kwara are more militarized than the Yorubas and if there is going to be a "bloody revolution" the weaker side would suffer more damages and i am sure you know the weaker side in the equation . |
hotwax: Let me just ask you question. You should read your history books more often . Hausas are indigenes in the southwest . They have been there even before colonial times. They have built a good relationship with yorubas and have been in Yorubaland for hundred of years. Do some more research and find out yourself. |
tinnymerit: are u saying 'indigenous' fulani?,where did u see that?,well if u meant to write residing fulani in the southwest. How abt the yoruba massacre in shagamu,Lagos,Ibadan and some oda areas.ud beta wise up.Its beta to destroy the branches of an iroko tree because if it thrives it will be demanding for sacrifices.Yes there are indigenous hausas in yorubaland . The Fulani - hausas in Kogi , Kwara , yewa area of Ogun state and Ibadan , Oyo have been there for hundred of years . You should read history more often . The Southwest doesn't only belong to Yorubas , The hausas are also part of the southwest. |
Demdem: Exactly, where should they go to? cant the govt simply provide an alternative for them even if its for the time beingExactly but adapting to the new "refugee" communities would be a problem for the fulanis. Hausa-Fulani would find it hard adapting to other regions but from what i understand in recent times they have built a strong accord and mutual respect for the Yorubas and if the STF decides to go ahead with this evacuation plan then the south west would be the most choice of relocation for the Hausas . There seems to be a cultural connection between Yorubas and Hausas and this would greatly help Nigeria as a nation . The South east and South south region has nothing in common with the Hausas so they would find it hard adapting to those regions. |

ifihearam: At this point in time I want to urge all other states to be very careful of these fulani herdsmen who are relocating,if you accept them with open arms then your state risks bombing and countless deaths. They should be sent to chad or somalia. So are you saying the Fulani indigenes of the southwest are troublesome ? |
So are we saying that the Fulanis in Plateau state should be forcefully evacuated ? BS!!! This is one Nigeria. If the plateau state government are allowed to do this then other state government would want to follow suite and this is wrong in a united country. If the STF in Plateau carries this out then Kogi , Kwara , Ogun and Oyo would also want to forcefully evacuate the Fulanis that have been in their state for YEARS. |
OAM4J: Because the thread is about tribes/ethnics. So I moved it to ethnics section.Pathetic Mr OAM4J , Really pathetic . Well if thats the case then i would like to see that post / topic on the frontpage . I have seen lots of topics from the "ethnic and racial segment" make the homepage and i think this topic would be a classic . We shouldn't hide information from fellow NIGERIANS or is this what nairaland has turned to now ? I am sorry but your excuse is pathetic and i think you and the other mods should place this topic on the homepage . |
I PLACED THIS POST ON WHAT GOOGLE THINKS https://www.nairaland.com/990298/google-search-result-nigerian-tribes IN THE POLITICS SEGMENT INITIALLY , WHY HAS IT BEEN MOVED TO THE MORE SECLUDED ETHNIC AND RACIAL SEGMENT ? MODS I DEMAND THAT YOU EITHER PLACE THIS POST ON THE HOMEPAGE OR MOVE IT BACK TO THE POLITICS SEGMENT . ARE WE NOW THIS BIASED THAT WE WOULD HIDE INFORMATION FROM FELLOW NIGERIANS? |

trigar12: GOSH. I HOPE THEY DON'T SACK ALL NEPA STAFF LIKE NITEL SHA.I HOPE THEY DO !!!! one rotten apple damages the whole bunch . None of the old / current staffs should be allowed to stay . Honest , qualified Nigerians and expatriates should take over . |
TIWA probably had a tough "one on one" action session with the pepsi executives before becoming their ambassador. |
Emmy9ite: Soft drinks are meant for kids thats why wizkid was made an 'ambassador' if heineken needs an ambassador today, they will look for me and rick ross.I guess Raul , Figo , Okocha , Lampard and Drogba are all kids then right ? |
impetus: The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Umar Manko, revealed on Friday that the command has arrested three persons, including a retired naval officer, for allegedly possessing 8,450 live cartridges.61,200 what an ape . Should have made it 100K plus some drinks . |
Who is this clown for heaven's sake? You want an Igbo nation of 40 million people, riddled with intellects and globally recognised geniuses to become an extension of a country of 15 million, clueless ogogoro drinking, makoussa dancing people called cameroun, led by a fat, slobby and big headed dictator called paul biya? No I think you are sick and need your meds, asap. Anyway, you don't have to worry about anybody coming to cameroun because cameroun on itself is one giant slum. So do not worry, you are safe in your Poo.h.o.l.e. cameroun.
Don't bother replying that f.o.ol , he is a fake , there are plenty fakes on Nairaland . Mostly jobless Yoruba people who have nothing to do online so they create fake profiles claiming to be Ghanaian or South africans or Cameroonians . |
ABA BOYS™.....clothing Nigerians since 1960 |
Does the N in SAN stand for Nuisance ? Because that's what FALANA reminds me of whenever i see him in one of these TV programmes . |
2mch: Sure just like the brave Igbo groups coming out everyday to fight behind placards and microphone. Just fight the damn fight and stop shouting. lmao.! The typical aboki does not even understand all this english in the news everyday. Na so so big big grammar.I can see you shivering right now like a Yoruba run away slave hiding from his hausa master in kwara state all because of the "BOOGEY and SCARY" hausa man abi ? The hausa man probably doesn't understand English but he sure would understand the sound of shells dropping and the clicking sounds of empty rounds being reloaded .As for the brave igbo groups well Bravery is neither paid for nor taught , its a trait that runs through the genes and blood of the average igbo man . Bravery is a trait and not an attitude, Its something a cowardly Yoruba man would never understand and never experience . |
CAN shouldTreat GEJ as it would treat any other Nigerian president that isn't christian ? This kayode ba.stard just gave Boko Haram his support and has just made the religious division in Nigeria worse , Now the North and boko haram would probably think that every SOUTHERNER / CHRISTIAN is pro- GEJ. Most of these cheap , attention seeking activists better learn to use their words properly or else they might just end up using words to rile up each side in Nigeria and then we would go into a full scale war all because of reckless words . Here's what a world war 2 poster says about careless words , I believe this Kayode id!ot should see this. |
2mch: But the SE gave Jona 99% votes. The 99% votes should be able to do something. Please leave Yoruba out of this. Fight your own fight if you want to. We are living and surviving, and doing even better as the opposition. Upon all your PDP supporthahaha e neva even set yet and Yoruba man don dey piss for pant ROFLMAO . My cowardly brother (god forbid)there's nothing to worry about, no one needs the help of back stabbing treacherous swines. ![]() |
Rossikk: Financial Times Lagos Report - At Last, Some Balanced Coverage Of LAGOS, NigeriaTHIS ARTICLE IS ABOUT LAGOS NOT ABOUT NIGERIA . LAGOS IS NOT NIGERIA , ITS A STATE INSIDE NIGERIA . MR ROSSIK PLEASE LEARN TO REASON PROPERLY AND SPOT THE DIFFERENCE IN ARTICLES. LAGOS IS A GREAT ECONOMICALLY VIABLE AND THRIVING STATE INSIDE NIGERIA THAT IS UNFORTUNATELY A FAILED STATE . YES NIGERIA DESERVED TO BE LISTED AS NUMBER 14TH IN THE LIST OF FAILED STATES AND I STILL BELIEVE THEY DID US A FAVOUR , NIGERIA SHOULD HAVE BEEN LISTED AS NUMBER 4 OR 5 , NUMBER 14 IS TOO GOOD FOR THIS FAILED STATE CALLED NIGERIA. NOW, MR ROSSIK YOU CAN ATTACK ME ALL YOU WANT BUT THAT WOULDN'T CHANGE THE FACT THAT I STILL CONSIDER YOUR REASONING CAPACITY AS ONE THAT CAN ONLY BE COMPARED TO A RET.ARDED CHIMPANZEE https://www.nairaland.com/978918/nigeria-ranked-14th-failed-state/2#11309736 |
NEW WORLD ORDER AT ITS FINEST . |
