RomanceRe: She Is Not Materialistic, She Is Just Above Your League by MrCork: 7:59pm On Jun 18, 2018
zicoraads:
I've seen countless narratives on Nairaland about ladies and their love for money. The most annoying one was the one I saw today of a guy complaining that his girlfriend would always want them to eat out where he'll end up paying 2k or 3k. But let's be honest with ourselves, that narrative is very wrong.

Now I'll show you why it is.

There are different types of ladies in a university. As someone who comes from a modest home, go for the ones who are serious with their studies and are more into guys who know why they are in school. These ones are more of the future than the present. They don't even mind drinking garri with you. Others, however, are the ones whose houses off campus are tastefully furnished and who live in apartments worth 150k. They also dress to kill. You think all of these fell from the sky? She has a lifestyle that needs to be maintained. As her man, realize that you also have to contribute to that. Don't ask her out and if she starts demanding, you run to Nairaland, shouting about how ladies are materialistic.

There are also these types of ladies in the larger society. A working class lady will most likely not follow you to the woman who sells beans and bread around your area. She will most likely prefer to lodge or eat Golden Tulips, Jevinik, BluCabana etc. Not her fault, she is classy and has taste. She has probably passed that stage where she followed her university love to the beans and bread seller. She is not about that life anymore. She still loves you a lot though, her taste notwithstanding.

Point being, at every point in your life, know how to cut your coat according to your size. And if you want to punch above your weight, don't go shouting about ladies' love for money. They are most likely just above your league.

EducationRe: Know The Differences Between Poisonous And Non Poisonous Snakes by MrCork: 6:50pm On Jun 18, 2018
Elijahrona:
Snakes are scary. The thought of a snake nearby is enough to drive some people crazy. We all run from snakes because we fear their poisonous bites. What if not all snake bites are poisonous? If so, how can we identify a snake based on the differences between poisonous and non poisonous snakes? Read this article to satisfy your curiosity.

Differences between poisonous and non poisonous snakes

Head
Heads of Poisonous snakes are mostly triangular (because their necks are broad) while the heads of non poisonous snakes are more flattened than that of poisonous ones.

Colour
Poisonous snakes have bright colours. We could say pretty hurts. Non poisonous snakes aren't as brightly coloured.

Heat-sensitive pit
Poisonous snakes have a heat-sensitive pit between their eyes and nostrils. This pit is used to locate warm blooded animals like mammals. Non poisonous snakes lack such pits. This is one of the major differences between poisonous and non poisonous snakes

Rattle
All rattlesnakes are poisonous therefore, if you see a rattle or hear its sound, know that it's a poisonous snake.
https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/4/4b/Crotalus_cerastes_mesquite_springs_CA.JPG/1200px-Crotalus_cerastes_mesquite_springs_CA.JPG

Head scales
In poisonous snakes, the scales on top of their heads are usually small. Non poisonous snakes however have larger scales on top of their heads

Visibility while swimming
When poisonous snakes swim, they're fully visible because they swim at the surface of the water. On the other hand, non poisonous snakes swim partly or fully invisible because they swim deep.

Teeth
Poisonous snakes have Fangs (Large Maxillary teeth with groves). you can identify fangs by seeing two long teeth in the front. Non poisonous snakes lack fangs, their teeth are even and uniform. This is one of the major differences between poisonous and non poisonous snakes

Bite marks
I just hope you've not been bitten by a snake. You could examine snake bitten animals though. The bite mark of poisonous snakes look like twin punctures because of the fangs. Non poisonous snakes' bite marks don't appear as two punctures.

Examples of poisonous snakes
Black Mamba
King cobra
Eastern brown snake
Coastal taipan
Inland taipan
Many-branded krait
Tiger snake
Boomslang
Mamushi

Examples of non poisonous snakes

Four-lined snake
Eastern garter snake
Emerald tree boa
Rough green snake
Bull snake
black rat snake
Milk snake
Python
Anaconda

Now that you know some differences between poisonous and non poisonous snakes
So long as you aren't a zoologist, please stay clear from snakes. Don't go experimenting. Stay safe. View and share the photo below. It is a summarised list of differences.

We both met each other last year during admission struggle. Eventually we both were admitted into the same institution and I now had to use that opportunity to build a career relationship with her as we both have four years ahead to round up our goals.
She knows I'm not working, I'm just a student. I explained to her that our friendship may not be adventurous and lively but definitely after graduation and we get a good job we'll both be smiling at the end and I'll get her whatever she needs.
She accepted the relationship and we got started.
But what baffles me is that whenever we plan on seeing, she'll set the rendezvous at costly and class places like Matt Ice, chicken Republic,Nadia Bakery and glittering places so at the end my pockets are being drained.
First day I took her to chicken Republic and she ordered for fry rice and chicken with salad and Hollandia juice and I spent more than 3k.
The second time we met she took me to Matt Ice and ordered for an ice cream and I spent 2k.
We've met for about 5 times and I must confess I've spent a lot.
The last time we met I took her to the school's environs and she knowing quite too well that I won't buy her a dime, she feigned as though she'll collapse and lied to me that she has ulcer, she started crying and I wasn't with cash on me so I feared and Went to the bank and withdrew 2k. Took her to buka but she said she doesn't eat at restaurant before I knew it i saw myself at matt ice again and she ordered for fry rice and chicken again.
Mehn I knew this girl wants to shatter my destiny.
Na so I kukuma run after sorting the bills.
Now I'm broke, no cash to sort myself in school, no money to get materials and handouts cos that girl drained me..
Now I've invited her over to my apartment but she refused and said she doesn't visit guys.
My friends have invited her to a night party and she has agreed and we plan on fuccking her style up.
What's your advise guys?
Should I just forget about her or I should go ahead and mess her up?
