Lots of people shared the opinion that taking a lady home to meet the parents for the first time should be aimed at pleasing the parents and appearing right rather than being oneself .
This was due to the fact that a typical Nigerian parent only judges people based on the first appearance before listening to what a person has to say or before getting to know them . Others were of the opinion that showing your true personality is preferable when meeting the parents as it is only deceptive to try to appear to be someone else .

Before i write anything else, let me tell you guys the set of people who will disagree with this post

1.the broke girls themselves
2. Guys who are dating broke girls
3.Lonely Guys who thinks supporting ladies in this forum will earn them respect and love from the latter.

Having stated all that, let me hit upon, precisely the point.

Most, if not all the heartbreak and cheating stories or articles posted by guys here on Nairaland, are relating to the fact that they invested in the relationship, not only emotionally but also financially, but at a certain point in time, they caught their girlfriends/spouses cheating, and those cheating ladies are not "well-to-do", they depend on their guys, but still end up cheating on him with another guy.
I thought about it, then i came to realize that broke girls are never satisfied or contented with what they get from various guys, and here are my reasons

1. Rich or ambitious ladies don't have the time to be chasing after guys and tasting all kinds of d!cks, instead it goes the other way round, guys chase them, and they don't give in easily because they know their worth.

2. Broke girls always need guys to cast their burden of wants upon, so if their current boyfriend does not provide one thing or the other, they hop to the next available d!ck capable of providing.

So guys, take this piece of advice from me, Irrespective of what you give to a girl who is broke, she will still cheat because there is something you are not giving her that she is looking for out there,

Super Eagles defender Leon Balogun has opened up on an encounter with a witch who put him on the path to reconnect to Nigeria and play for the national team.

Born to a Nigerian father and a German mother, Leon Balogun was born and brought up in Germany with little knowledge about Nigeria.

In a piece for The Players’ Tribune, the Super Eagles defender opened up how he made the journey to reconnect to Nigeria.

The 29-year-old told the story of how his sister led him to see a witch who diagnosed a hole in his aura and how he was still hurting from the death of a loved him.

The loved one turned out to be his grandmother from Nigeria, whom he never met before she died.

“I was amazed. I hadn’t thought about my grandma that much since she passed when I was 16 years old,” the Brighton & Hove Albion defender wrote on his piece for The Players’ Tribune.

“But, this lady was right. My grandma’s death had a huge effect on me, and I had never even met my grandma, who lived in Nigeria. That’s the part that was wild to me.

“This woman, though, she saw it. She told me I had to heal my soul, my heart before I could become the player I wanted to be.

“After we left, I didn’t completely understand if my experience with her was successful. The most important thing that came out of that day was that it got me thinking about my grandma. When I got home, my mind went straight back to the day my dad told me the news.

“Because I had never met her, my dad didn’t tell me right when it happened. He actually waited a few days — that’s how distant my relationship was from her. She only spoke Yoruba. So when we talked on the phone when I was little, my dad would try to translate for us. He had never taken me to Nigeria, for reasons he didn’t make clear to me, and I only ever saw photos of my grandma.”

The grief he felt over the death of his paternal grandmother led him to know more and reconnect with his Nigerian roots.

Reconnection with Nigeria
The reconnection was complete when in 2014 he received a call from the Super Eagles boss Stephen Keshi which turned out to be an invitation to the national team.

“Even after I overcame some of the injury issues I had as a teenager and began playing regular minutes in the 2. Bundesliga and Bundesliga, that thing — the part of my soul that I had been told to heal all those years ago — was still missing from my life,” the defender further wrote in the piece.

“In 2014, I was coming to the end of my contract with Fortuna Dusseldorf. I wasn’t sure where I would go next. There was uncertainty in my life, and from time to time I would think of the witch. What did she mean, ‘heal my soul?’

“One night in March, my phone rang. It was a Nigerian number … it was Stephen Keshi, the Nigerian National Team manager. I was sweating as soon as he introduced himself. I wanted him to say the words I had thought about for so long. He spoke for awhile about how he wasn’t totally familiar with me, but he liked how I played.

“Then he said it: ‘I would like to invite you to be a Super Eagle’.

The Economic And Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Port Harcourt Zonal Office, have arrested a fake school operator allegedly awarding the National Certificate of Education, NCE and Bachelor of Education degree without authorization and accreditation.
The suspect, John Ogbonnaya, was arrested in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

He allegedly registered Havana International School of Arts and Science in 2017 with two other suspects: Monday Nwapi and Mrs Justina Okafor.

They are holding lectures in two centres in Port Harcourt: Brilliant International Schools, Nsukka Street, Diobu and Paragon City Light College, Agip area.

Since the inception of the main school, scores of unsuspecting students have been defrauded and made to pay for application forms , school fees and project fees.


The students were made to believe that Havana International School of Arts & Science was affiliated to four different institutions: Abia State College of Education( Technical); Ebenezer College of Education, Edda, Ebonyi State, Enugu State College of Education and University Of Calabar, Cross River State.
Investigations by the Commission showed that Havana International School of Arts and Science had no valid affiliation with any of the four institutions.

The National Commission for Colleges of Education, NCCE, had in 2008 barred all Colleges of Education in Nigeria from operating satellite campuses or study centres. Havana School of Arts and Science allegedly flouted the directive and was operating illegally.

The suspect would soon be charged to court.

A lesbian couple was kicked out of their Uber ride by the driver because the girls were kissing each other in the back seat. Now the driver has been banned by Uber for being homophobic.

Alex Iovine and her girlfriend, Emma Pichl, were riding with the car service on Saturday evening, when they started smooching and snuggling in the back seat. The driver pulled over and told the girls to get out of the car, saying they were being “disrespectful.”

The girls recorded the incident and released a video that shows the driver’s name and license plate. During the argument, the couple threatened to call the police and have the driver fired.

Uber has removed the driver’s access to its app, saying it does not tolerate discrimination.

Blonde-haired lesbian Alex Iovine and her brunette lover, Emma Pichl, were riding in an Uber from a friend’s birthday party to another party in Manhattan on Saturday night. While in the back seat of the car, the girls leaned in and started kissing each other.

I've seen countless narratives on Nairaland about ladies and their love for money. The most annoying one was the one I saw today of a guy complaining that his girlfriend would always want them to eat out where he'll end up paying 2k or 3k. But let's be honest with ourselves, that narrative is very wrong.

Now I'll show you why it is.

There are different types of ladies in a university. As someone who comes from a modest home, go for the ones who are serious with their studies and are more into guys who know why they are in school. These ones are more of the future than the present. They don't even mind drinking garri with you. Others, however, are the ones whose houses off campus are tastefully furnished and who live in apartments worth 150k. They also dress to kill. You think all of these fell from the sky? She has a lifestyle that needs to be maintained. As her man, realize that you also have to contribute to that. Don't ask her out and if she starts demanding, you run to Nairaland, shouting about how ladies are materialistic.

There are also these types of ladies in the larger society. A working class lady will most likely not follow you to the woman who sells beans and bread around your area. She will most likely prefer to lodge or eat Golden Tulips, Jevinik, BluCabana etc. Not her fault, she is classy and has taste. She has probably passed that stage where she followed her university love to the beans and bread seller. She is not about that life anymore. She still loves you a lot though, her taste notwithstanding.

Point being, at every point in your life, know how to cut your coat according to your size. And if you want to punch above your weight, don't go shouting about ladies' love for money. They are most likely just above your league.
