It seems like a waste of money and total waste of time/funds sponsoring females to school in this part of the world,summing up the total number of relationships/interactions and discussions i have had with the female species in Nigeria up until this very moment it appears the larger percentage of women/ladies look up to a Man for a BRIGHT future rather than rely and depend on whatever form of education they must have gotten from their parents/benefactors to create their own desirable future ...Imagine putting an able bodied lady through school (6 years nursery and primary school,6yrs in secondary school,4-5years in an higher institution,1 year NYSC prog and some even pursue and get a Master's degree ) all on hard earned money of the benefactor ,imagine after all of this effort that was put into place to get a woman to the highest level of educational status,isn't it a shameful statement to make when an educated and well informed lady says her plans to make it in life is to get a man with a bright future to take care of her and support her haa .. Maybe equipping we males with all of the education/skills we need to climb the ladder of success and doing lesser for the female folks is the right answer to this since most females nowadays have it at the back of their mind that they won't/can't amount to nothing in life without a man's support ...

I guess this mode of societal structure worked successfully and unchallenged in the past ,nowadays men seem to have woken up and now want more from a woman than just spreading your legs,giving birth,cook,take care of the house and all those archaic attributes that was used as a yardstick for SUPPORT ! Women wake up this is 2017 and even we men want to say Awwnn when we get that brand new Mercedes from you guys on our birthday heck even just as a surprise gift for being in your lives just as we men have been conditioned to believe and have been doing since time immemorial , still on the search for my own strong and independent woman though but for the time being it seems i do need to pick up a form to join the vaseline crew cos me i don tire for this ladies in Nigeria that instantly turn to an orphan immediately you guys start dating ..

P.S : I am not against supporting a woman financially,morally and in every other way a man can be of help to a woman but spending huge amounts of money to put a woman through school and at the end all she wants is to put her certificate in a clear paper bag and hunt for a man to give her a future she desire instead of striving to be people like IBUKUN AWOSIKA,Mo Abudu,Hajiya Bola Shagaya is pathetic ..

So today's post is going to be very interactive and would greatly involve you sharing your view point on the subject matter below.

So I got talking with a friend and we deliberated on this matter nonstop today.

"Which love and affection do you consider to be true...Love Type A or Love Type B? (I would give you the details of both love in a bit)". So here we go.......

Is it love at first sight (let's call it Love type A ). I mean the love, affection or attraction that naturally comes without you even really having known the person. You know, that type for example that can make a lady continue receiving slaps and beating from her man and yet she would say "but I still love him". This kind of love is actually not based on what a partner does or doesn't do...It is just there...it comes naturally for that significant other even if he or she is a slowpoke...lol

OR

The love that grows after having known a person (let's call this Love type B). I mean the type of love that comes after you have gotten to know a person. After you have gotten to know this person is nice, caring, loving, affectionate, considerate and all those things and then you now choose to fall in love with that person.....lol. So can we say love type B is truly genuine since it is a love that has grown after one has been receiving the right treatment from the other person? Or should we just term it as being a self centered kind of love?

Well...my friend stuck with love type A as the true and genuine love while I stuck love type B (don't judge me o...lol).

So please I really need to hear what you think about the trueness and genuineness of love type A OR love type B. Feel free to leave your response in the comment session.

The operatives of the Ogun State Police Command have apprehended a 43-year-old woman, Alaba Mulika and her 16-year-old daughter identified simply as Olamide, for allegedly trading in cannabis.

The mother and daughter who are were dwarfs were part of 56 suspects paraded by the Police on Thursday, with the Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Iliyasu, saying that various units of operatives had been deployed in different areas of the state to curtail kidnapping, robbery, cultism and other crimes.

Speaking on the arrest of the mother and daughter at the command’s headquarters at Eleweran, Abeokuta, Iliyasu said that Mulika had engaged in sale of the illicit drug for more than five years

Iliyasu said that on August 5, at about 10:00 a.m., operatives of Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) got information about the sale of Indian hemp in Awa Ijebu, so they stormed the town and raided the suspects’ joint.

“On getting there, they found the woman and her daughter selling hemp, skunk and other drugs and arrested them with their exhibits,” he stated.

It was learnt that Mulika was arrested by SARS about two years ago and handed over to the state command of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA). It was further gathered that the woman was once a visitor of the anti-drug agency before her arrest by SARS two years ago.

While speaking in an interview with the Nigerian Tribune, Mulika, who said she was an Oru indigene but lives in Awa Ijebu, confirmed that she was arrested because she was selling Indian hemp.

“I didn’t have any problem with the traditional ruler of Awa-Ijebu; it is the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in the town who said he doesn’t want people selling Indian hemp.

“I know Indian hemp is not good, and the Nigerian law does not support trading in it, but I am into it in order to survive. My husband is late. My daughter, Olamide, was not helping me to sell Indian hemp; we were just together in the shop when policemen came to arrest me.

“When I was told to stop selling Indian hemp, I agreed, but I pleaded that I should be allowed to finish selling the ones I had. I am ready to stop selling Indian hemp; I am ready to join the theatre industry if I can find someone to introduce me into it.”

The 16-year-old daughter, Olamide, who spoke with the Nigerian Tribune, also said: “I know my mother used to sell Indian hemp, but that was what we were surviving on.

“She feeds eight people along with herself, making nine. My grandma is down with stroke, and my mother’s younger sister, who is also a dwarf, has cancer of the breast. And it is only my mother who is taking care of them all.”

The Lagos State Commissioner for Information,Steve Ayorinde, has urged men should stop sucking their wives breasts and allow their children breast feed well.

He stated this during a Breastfeeding Awareness Campaign organized by the Lagos chapter of the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ).



The commissioner who was represented by Mrs Toro Oladapo, a former NAWOJ President and Director, Public Affairs, Lagos Ministry of Information, urged women to breastfeed their babies rather than their husbands.


He also advised women to engage in exclusive breastfeeding which is for the first six months of a child as it enhances their brains and help to improve academically.


“Nothing is natural like breast milk,” he said, noting that human milk is better for babies than animal milk.

“Thank you so much for promoting the essence of womanhood. The media should help ensure mothers are breastfeeding to raise a healthy nation.

You will all agree with me that children that are breastfed distinguish themselves academically.’’
