15 youths have been arrested in connection with the violent protest in the Kaura Namoda Local Government Area of Zamfara state.

The arrested youths were paraded at the Police Headquarters in Gusau, the state capital by the Commissioner of Police in Zamfara, Hussain Rabiu.

Rabiu who said that the protest which took place on Monday May 31 was organised by unpatriotic citizens from Kurya Madaro and Maguru District in Kaura Namoda Local Government Area of the state, called on parents and guardians to take proper control of their children and advised them against attempts to be recruited by the said conflict entrepreneurs to commit acts of criminality.

The commissioner disclosed that items recovered from the suspects include six motorcycles, four locally fabricated guns, motorcycle plugs used as bullets, a machete, and assorted charms.

He also warned residents that the command under his watch would not tolerate any attempt by conflict entrepreneurs to sabotage the efforts of the security agencies to restore peace and stability in Zamfara.

A 23-year-old motorcyclist identified as Ogbonna Chukwuebuka, has allegedly stabbed a young man to death with a dagger in Umunachi community, Obowo Local Government Area of Imo State, Reports.

It was gathered By , that the incident happened on Saturday, May 29.

Village sources told News Crew, that the men had a disagreement on money. Unable to agree on the sharing formula, they engaged in a free-for- all, which led to the motorcyclist allegedly stabbing Uche to death, while Idowu was seriously injured.

"Chukwuebuka was fighting with two friends, Uche and Idowu, and as the fight degenerated, Chukwuebuka stabbed Uche and he lost consciousness. He also injured Idowu, who called for help and his brothers rushed him and Uche to hospital," the source narrrated.

"Uche was pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital, while Idowu was admitted. So, out of fear, Chukwuebuka and his brothers fled. The deceased’s kinsmen regrouped and came to his father’s house but met his absence. Angered by the development, they set his father’s house, Learnt."

"They made sure that the house was completely razed before they left the compound. The deceased hailed from the neighbouring Umungwa community, while the suspect and the injured are from the same Umunachi community in the Obowo Local Government."

A Nigerian man identified as Anthony Oregon has died after he was bitten by a poisonous snake friends claimed was sent by someone, Reports.

According to Shadrack Okpomhe Who Shared The News, As Obtained By , someone called the deceased to inform him that pigs were feeding on his crops.

However, on getting to his farm, he saw a snake instead. He immediately tried to go back but the snake flew at him and bit him on the leg. Although Tony managed to kill the snake, he didn't survive the poisonous bite, Learnt.

The deceased was laid to rest on May 26, after a funeral mass at Saint Philomena Catholic Church in Edo State.

Someone called him to inform him about his crops been eaten by pigs, and getting to the farm that evening just a stone throw from the house , he saw the giant snake and immediately went back, according to him, the snake flew towards him and he got bitten, he was brave enough to kill the same snake but could not survive it.

A suspected burglar who pretends to be a ghost to rob houses has reportedly been arrested in Zimbabwe, Reports.

According to a Zimbawean Facebook user, General Chiwenga Wisdom, who posted the photos on Thursday, May 26, As Obtained By , the suspect specialises in breaking into houses during the night wearing a skeleton costume and pretending to a ghost.

According to him, whenever the house owners see the 'ghost' they flee leaving him behind to cart away their valuables, Learnt.
