Update From . COM Suspected bandits have kidnapped 14 persons including the widow of Barrister Mathew Kola Ojo, the former Zonal Chairman of Kogi West of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Reports. The victims were abducted on Monday morning, January 25, at Iffe, in Ijumu Local Government Area of Kogi State. It was gathered that five of the victims excluding the widow were reportedly released by the gunmen. The President of Okun Development Association (ODA) Chief Femi Mokikan, who confirmed the incident, said the kidnappers have contacted family of Mrs Kola-Ojo but are yet to make demands. "The persons they (kidnappers) called was a family uncle to the woman, telling him they have Mrs. Kola-Ojo in their custody. But before they could state their ransom, the man’s phone experienced flat battery. We are hoping that they will call back today," said Chief Mokikan. “I got the information about the Kidnapped saga about 10:30am and we started shouting to those that matter including the Senior Security Adviser to the Governor for help." he added. He said ODA in collaboration with Ijumu Local government officials are working round the clock to ensure their safe and quick release. COM The Kano State Police Command has arrested a 30-year-old woman, Hauwa Auwal, who allegedly poured hot water on her husband’s second wife, Sha’awanatu Muhmmad and her four-year-old daughter, Halima Khalid, Reports. From The Information Gathered By News Crew, The incident happened in Shekara Sabuwar Abuja in Kumbotso Local Government Area of the state. Spokesperson of the command, DSP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, who confirmed the arrest on Monday, January 25, said police operatives stormed the house after receiving reports of the incident and arrested the culprit. He added that the victims were rushed to the Murtala Muhammad Specialist Hospital for medical treatment. The mother of the victim, Hajiya Binta Isma’il has appealed to the Kano State Government and well meaning individuals to help pay the medical bills of her daughter and granddaughter. Update From . COM A young lady was found lying helplessly by the roadside in Lekki, Lagos state on Wednesday night, November 18, Reports. From The Reports Gathered By From IG user, Adebola Isaac, who spotted the lady lying on the street, shared a video he made of her and wrote ''I pray this girl survive it till next morning 2325hrs I left her by lekki phase 1 gate I think she was drugged or on drugs but she needs help pls'' Isaac said he did his best by getting her milk and water and also asked the security guards in the area to watch over her till this morning. COM Reported By Udokabestluv In Onitsha Chidinma Dorothy Michael met with an accident near Borromeo round-about Onitsha when a truck carrying sand rammed into their bus on 10th November on their way to pick up school children, Reports. From The Reports Gathered By , she couldn't escape as she died after been rush to the hospital in Onitsha. According to her brother, Chidinma was on her way to pick up her student when the accident took place. Sharing the story with , The victim's brother says that, even after the death of her sister, both the director of the school, Rev. Fr Ebube Mmuo Nso, and the school management have refused to say anything about the incident. Update From . COM The Senior Special Assistant to the Delta State Governor on Transport, Hon. Charles Kwode has reportedly escaped an assassination attempt. A close associate of Charles Kwode, who confirmed the incident said the suspected assassins stormed the compound at about 1: am on Wednesday, November 18, shot the security guard on the head, killing him on the spot. “Thereafter they broke into his house but their first attempt was on the children’s room thinking it was Charles Kwode’s room. On sensing danger Kwode narrowly escaped though the fence but met one of the assassins who was on watch-out outside the gate," he stated. “It was the assassin who was on watch-out outside the compound that hit him with an iron rod severally before he managed to escape”, he added. His elder brother, Dr. Matthew Kwode, who confirmed the story, said it was God that delivered Charles from the hands of the suspected assassins. Update From . COM Gunmen suspected to be assassins have killed Engr. Mufutau Olayemi, a lecturer at D.S Adegbenro ICT Polytechnic, Itori in Ogun State. Linda Ikeji Blog, reports that Olayemi who was the Head, Department of Electrical Engineering at the Polytechnic, was trailed to the Itori area of the State by gunmen in an unmarked vehicle and shot dead at close range in the early hours of Wednesday, November 18. Olayemi reportedly slumped and died in his car afterward while the killers left without removing any item from him or his car. Confirming the incident, the spokesperson of the state police command, Abimbola Oyeyemi, said the command is treating it as a case of “assassination”. He added that detectives from the Homicide section have been dispatched to the area to investigate the matter and unravel those behind it. Meanwhile, Olayemi's friends have taken to social media to mourn him. LIB on Tuesday, November 17, shared the story. Human rights activist, Harrison Gwamnishu, who brought the case to light, said the man got his wife pregnant three times while he caged her. He said the victim was locked up in the cage where she defecated and also urinated. When arrested, Ame insisted his wife was a witch and mentally challenged and that he had taken her back to her family members but they rejected her. The victim is currently receiving medical attention at the Orerokpe General hospital in Delta state.
