they wee turn pastor, they wee suddenly developed cancer...only when the curtain had drawn on their evil deeds. |
olawonder: ...Lol,Nigerians and our sense of entitlement-ship. You sha wan make we believe your own story bah.... We saw the video, all at the scene fled: the armed and the unarmed, even the robber sef fled for their lives forget odeshi.....odeshi sef get expiry time. ![]() |
Nigerians we never appreciate technology or any form of advancement in these age. Thanks to the CCTV technology - which all outfits in Nigeria invested heavily on, yet hardly make use of. Cos that's what we know. We buy this technology for show offs rather than for its function. Many had the Iphone 6 wt the kind of functions dat cant even work in our region , yet planning to buy the 7. - We all saw the video. Yet we need Zenith bank, NPF and this one too to come and deny, and write epistle abt how it happened as if we saw the said witness taking records of happenings. |
woodcook:Really Nigerians deserves the kind of leaders they get....excuse me? we all saw systemic failure of leadership at all levels here and some of us here had gone thru schools and are here blaming things on odeshi, confident level of the armed robbers...seriously. What manner of analysis from the said true account when the obvious is being observed in the video. How can u be an armed policemen and handle gun like amateur in that way, and loss of confidence cos of an 'odeshied' armed robber? like this is the first time we knew abt odeshi. Is it justified to say all police officers on guard across the country right now melts once they see an 'odeshied' armed robbers. I may be wrong what's in that video have the answers and nothing hidden about sheer lack of training and unpreparedness on the part of the cops(RIP). And the Police leadership failed woefully for these. We take things lightly in this country except money...RIP to the heroic officers. |
spaggyy:Thanks bro. Your analysis were same as mine. u saw the video. the account given by Op had a bit of coloration to what was in the video. Bottom line: Rest in peace to the heroic cops, but clearly lack of training, equipment and adequate drills for situation is chiefly responsible for this whole mess, Honestly our Police force is a complete joke: killing our cops like chicken. |

Oladimejyy:No mind her .... arungun omo, awon deranged fellow na dem dey cause am....to the poster of why an american dont like Nigeria, I haff tried defends ds block head, but omo our own sef do much.. |
Efewestern:Sorry bro....the fact that we have some elements in the system who indulge in scam is not enough to generalize, and that it is common in Nigeria is not the blame of the other good Nigerians. The last I check it is illegal in Nigeria to be an internet fraudster, and no institution teaches Nigerians on becoming an internet fraudster. Be that as it may, the weak link and bad eggs in the system are the ones giving the country another name. No one promote evil except a system that refuses to do its checks which is the sad reality in Nigeria. Same way the evil were promoted is the same we can promote the good. Its appalling yes, but we have to re orientate ourselves and not allow foreigners label us what we are or else we can as well change the country name to Internet Scam country. |
Except you are in Nigeria or where ever trying to do your bit to make things better, if not... please shut d f up. Even some are in diaspora typing shit and dont even have legal docs for their stay yet they are supporting trash.... Nigeria will get better irrespective of what. What we are going through now is transitional and trust me will pass....it will surely pass...Martin Luther King dreamed of the America you all enjoyed today, they were the heroes of the free system you all ran to. Someone has got to pay the price, in that light, for the few Nigerian who are not scammers but are branded as such we are offering our bit. Trust me we can flee ds country too, but then again we thought it through we are still here, we will remain here and things shall turn good for our kid's kids....that's the good news. |
Enough of these rants about what Nigerians are that you dont like about them. Good points observed and I agreed but if you do a thorough study of how things are shaped and formed you wont be so myopic in your judgement at the conclusion of your observation about Nigerians. I mean should all Nigerian are 'scammers' as you put even if it is possible, the few percent that are not thrive and succeeds. Nigerian have their names out there on several other things other than scamming, but you did not see that. You blame the whole Nigerians for the condition brought on them by bad and vision-less leadership. Or the culture that promote many of these you mentioned. Mind you I am not being defensive about your points, but if you will do justice to your observations you will know things dont just appear the way they are. There are fundamental factor that is cursing these, we Nigerians know and are concerned as you are, but you can close your eyes and wish all these away. To you Nigeria who shared the views of the author of these write up, you are not in any way different from us. You found yourself in a place where there is the law and order some of yearn you can claim to be better. Given you are still in Nigeria, we probably would wonder how you survived it. Truth is Nigerians are aware of all of the points made in this article but until these fundamntal factors that promotes the menace is gradually and consistently checked we keep having it this way. Thanks for observing us, we still thrive and survive nonetheless. I am pretty sure the USA did not come with fully functioning system as we have it, but a careful and deliberate to make it so. We will get there.... e se gan ni. I am unapologetically Nigerian, I may not be proud of somethings about her, but sentimentally yes I am super proud of my country...All of una go talk say una dey proud of America. I think it safe for me to say I am proud of what I know I have an identity - America no be my papa land and no matter what it is not my country of origin and birth and will never be. |
