TheTrueSeeker: A heated discussion was observed on Wednesday between two of President Muhammadu Buhari’s aides before the Federal Executive Council meeting commenced.
The argument occurred between the Chief of Staff to the President, Mr Abba Kyari; and the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Winifred Oyo-Ita, who appeared angry as she explained a point to the Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo.
The hot exchange seemed to be a fallout of the leaked memo from Mrs Oyo-Ita to the Office of the Chief of Staff to the President on the embattled former pension boss, Abdulrasheed Maina, warning of the implication of reinstating Mr Maina into the civil service.
The mild drama played out in the presence of the National Security Adviser, Babagana Monguno, and the new Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Mr Boss Mustapha, who was waiting to be sworn in by the President.

AutoJoshNIG: Like the name implies, Travel Health Insurance is a policy that covers any eventuality that occurs when you travel out of Nigeria to another country; be it for pleasure or business.
When have you ever travelled and kept money for a possible urgent medical intervention?
Many of us are so medically fit, and some have not been to the hospital in the past 5 years, so we really do not think that we could fall ill or get involved in an accident abroad that may require medical treatment or repatriation back to Nigeria to get treatment. We all travel with only “flex & shopping” money.
Do you even know that Travel Health Insurance (also known as InsurVisa) is now required by some embassies before you are issued a visa to their country?
If you are travelling to a Schengen country, it is compulsory for you to have a Travel Health Insurance that has a cover of 30,000 Euro.
Below is how the need for Travel Health Insurance was clearly stated on Finland’s consular website:
“Before the visa can be issued, the applicant must present an insurance policy as described below:
must be issued by an accredited Schengen insurance policy company has to be valid in all Schengen countries has to cover expenses caused by illness, accident, medical care and possible repatriation up to the amount of 30,000 Euro has to be valid for the whole duration of the journey has to be presented only if the visa has been approved” And on the site, the Insurance Companies accepted by Schengen countries were listed – Mutual Benefits Assurance (whom I represent) is one of the four listed accredited Insurance companies that are accepted in Nigeria.
Also, Travel Health Insurance can be required if you are visiting the United States of America and Canada. You should know the health systems in these countries are presently complicated, and their government do not want to be liable for the medical care or repatriation of tourists, hence the need to have insurance cover.
Aside from the fact that Travel Health Insurance is compulsory to gain entry into some countries, the need to have this cover when travelling worldwide cannot be overemphasised. Eventualities like accidental death, repatriation, emergency medical intervention occurs.
For example, do you remember the popular Nollywood actress, Moji Olaiya, who died of Cardiac Arrest in Canada? Her family had to raise funds from public figures like APC Chieftain Bola Tinubu and Ekiti State governor Ayo Fayose for a monetary contribution to have her body repatriated back to Nigeria for burial. If there was a Travel Health Insurance policy cover on her, her family would have been saved the hassle of seeking funds from these public figures. This is exactly why the policy is important for every Nigeria travelling out of the country.
Another importance of Travel Health Insurance that is always overlooked by people who intends to travel overseas is that this policy aides their visa acquisition process. Many embassies do not categorically state that Health Insurance policy is important to get into their countries, but it is a known fact among travel agents that this insurances policy can influence your visa acquisition positively. There is a chance your visa application would be rejected if you don't have a Travel Health Insurance Policy.
The benefits of travel health insurance are peace of mind and confidence that you get when you are covered and travel abroad. The covers have a limit of 30,000 Euro for any accident, medical care, and repatriation. If you need make a claim, you just walk into any designated partner of your insurance company in the Schengen countries, present your policy certificate, and get all the necessary assistance. Or simply contact your insurance company for assistance.
I have a big mouth, yes I admit and I am so ashamed right now.
I met Obinna last year and he did admit that it was my bluntness that attracted me to him. I am someone who likes to say it the way it is. I am very blunt and direct.
Over the course of the relationship,Obi has also said to me that I should tone down my bluntness. I had then began to wonder: why this same h=guy who was attracted to my being very real is asking me to change.
I didn’t like that his suggestion. And frankly speaking,I felt like he wanted to control me.
We have quarreled about this a couple of times but we also reconciled.
If I am completely honest,I think that I take things a little too far. For example, the day Obi introduced me to his elder sister, the woman said to me that she didn’t like my tinted hair (which was gold)…and I told her that I didn’t like her nails. I told her also that my hair choice is my business. But I think I should have just kept quiet.
The last issue we had was two weeks ago, since that time,Obi has not been picking my calls. He is avoiding me. I don’t know if he doesn’t want the relationship anymore.
What happened was that Obi and I went for a party of his colleague who was having a house warming party. As we sat eating and drinking,Obi asked me to pick up his second phone which he left in his car. I was engrossed in the gist that was going on so I told him to go get it himself that I was not going to miss the gist. He said, babe, please go and get my phone a second time. At that point,I lost it and said, biko,am not your servant…leave me,either you get it yourself or stay without it.
As we sent home that day,Obi refused to speak with me. He dropped me off and that is the last time I have seen or heard from him. I have sent countless text messages (which I had to swallow my pride for) apologizing for my attitude. Yet,Obi has not reached out to me..
I thought about going to his place but I am scared he might not want to see me. The shame of open rejection,I cannot bear.
What do you think I should do? How do I win back Obi the love of my life?
More importantly, how do I change my behavior without loosing my self esteem?. I pride myself as a strong educated young woman,.I was raised to be very independent. I hate it when a woman is not allowed to express herself because it is believed to be a man’s world. Men don’t like women who are very outspoken but isn’t that prejudice? I know a woman should submit to her man but to what extent? Shouldn’t men be able to also accept a strong, opinionated and smart woman…
I guess I need to know how to balance this. Please help me.
Skipuru: A guy of 27 years old impregnated my 16 years old sister mean while she's about to write her waec next year. I called the guy on phone and he said he's ready to take responsibility of the girl and she will marry her , but me I don't like it that way because she's too small to bear a child and I don't want that to happen to my sister because she's the only girl in my family. Now the question is I want her to abort the child and focus on her education but the guy said he ready and my mom called me and said that my sister said if anything should happen to her that it's on our head. Please I want you to post it so I can hear people's opinions on this so I can know the right thing to do because I'm I'm going crazy.
Please I need a good advice on how to follow this matter. My mom want her to suffer so she can learn her lesson but me she will bring shame to me and my family. I'm just a boy of 22 years old still on the street.
Though unfortunate but both of them are not TOO YOUNG for marriage. If the guy has a means of good livelihood and genuinely want her as a wife, let him start d marriage preliminary. This will handle to an extent the stigma and humiliation she is facing. Then the mother or guardian of the guy should be willing to keep the baby while she goes back fully to school.l am very sure her mum wouldn't accept her at ds stage. Finally she has to start learning things that can give her financial independence because she needs more money now.l would suggest her hair making, baking etc.

nickxtra: 16-year-old teenage girl has been arrested along with 52 men after they were caught having intercourse with her consent in turns.
According to the police, it looked like an initiation ceremony for members of Supreme Vikings Confraternity.
Ifeechukwu is a secondary school drop-out. During interrogation, she revealed that she travelled from Abuja to Lagos just to witness the ceremony and was given a sedative as not to feel the pain while the men took turns on her.
“I joined them three months ago and during my initiation, I was forced to have sex with every registered member of the cult present that night. I was given a sedative so as not to feel what they were doing. It was not easy, but I bore the pain,”
“I got to know about the cult activity through a friend. She assured me that all the connection that I needed in this life will be made if I joined the group. I am from a poor family and I wanted to be the light that will change the situation in my family.
“She never told me that I will be raped till the day of initiation. The day we were initiated, I was the only girl in their midst. Although, I have not started reaping the gains, I was determined to be a successful member.
“I was further convinced to stay because I discovered that they are more honourable than the others. I am sorry and would love to be given the opportunity to go back to school.
“I never knew that it is crime to be a member. I am sorry,” Ifechukwu pleaded.
Another member of the group, Ugochukwu Agbazuo, revealed that they are all undergraduates of various institutions in Anambra.
“Apart from some of our national leaders, we are all students. I was initiated into the cult while I was still in my first year. I had no choice but to join them because of the harassment in school. I discovered that most of the Engineering students in my school were members of different cult groups.
“Again, if you identify with a known cult in school, the lecturers will respect you. You don’t have to buy handouts or offer bribe to get credit in a course. This was why I joined them,” he said.
He insisted that they did not steal or harass innocent people.
“The guns that were found with us were bought in case there was a clash in school. It is our leaders who are all graduates and working across the country that normally assist us to secure the arms. It is strictly for defence and one of the rules of our group is that you must read and pass your exams on merit.”
Sense fall on you,and all the 52 foolish men you saw had all the connection you were looking for.

dagreensblog: Db has exclusively obtained an open letter written to President Muhammadu Buhari by an Igbo Muslim.
Read below:
OPEN LETTER TO PRESIDENT MUHAMMAD BUHARI.
Igbo Muslims are denied positions and recognition in their Home Town And in their own state. During your interview and your name is a mix of Islamic name ,automatically they will be a mixed feelings in the heart of the panel.
Muslim igbos came for Air force Recruitment this year at Kaduna, the officer in charge of screening a Yoruba man became annoyed with them when they said they are Muslims and Igbo's. He told them that " no way for them " " they are deceiving them selves in this place" until those boys started calling people like us to call whom we know... How long shall Igbo Muslim be marginalised in Nigeria . What offence have we committed in being a muslim igbo? Tears roll my eyes ,when I remember how the past governor of Ebonyi state .Elechi Martins called igbo Muslims from Afikpo Hausa settlers who claim to be igbos and denied them opportunity in the NDA for eight years of his tenure.
The igbo Muslims campaigned heavily under the sun and rain for this government to be voted in and our reward is total NEGLECT! many starved themselves and family to campaign for this government with hope of being rewarded but alas! We are neglected and forgotten! Does no muslim igbo have the qualification for all the ministerial positions? Does no muslim Igbo have the qualification for the DG appointment? Does no Muslim Igbo have the qualification for the federal appointment?
What a mess ? What a life of restiveness? What imbalance in distributing national cake? Silence is a crime in the land of injustice!
