^^ make una no vex, running a country is not like operating a fan ice bicycle. It takes time to see dividends make we wait small, in the mean time we should all make ourselves useful. |
see
My friend your english is so brutally bad and your facts so violently wrong that am really worried about you. |
Fiscal side of the economy is expansionary monetary is policy is contractionary, we need policy alignment but that is just part of the issue, the country has to START PRODUCING! Without that using the reserves to prop up the naira wont work in the long term, it should only be a short term measure, we also need to address structural issues like oil subsidy and other nonproductive uses of funds. |
GEJ is like a step child- if he washes his hands before eating,he is scolded for wasting water, if he eats without washing hands he is scolded for being a dirty boy. The man can't seem to please people. |
Bros pls go get a business plan or feasibility report together. You can get all your questions answered therefrom. |
Na wa o, Na MINISTER she be o (just one at that) she can only do so much, besides some people's wishes here are for areas over which she has little or no authority. She can do much but lets temper our expectations. emiye:Have u read the framework sir? please what is "grandiose" about it? |
One source of income is like trying to walk with one leg without any aid-You aint going nowhere |
Am not a techie but i think ONE critical area some of our programmers miss is that it goes beyond the software or programme or whatever. You need a good business to make it all work and make MONEY. You guys need to partner with business men who can provide the power and what not for you to do your thing and also the marketing and admin and accounting and legal and, I hope you get what am driving at. A good software without a good business to sell it will languish, a soso software with good business will get into enough hands to generate income and make improvements. Windows wasn't that great when it first came out but it was good enough with a seriously good marketing muscle. Lets dump the "I can drive myself" attitude and get serious, except you guys don't want to make jillions from you talent like googles and facebooks and apples of this world. And for those waiting for government to "supply electricity first" you are not yet ready to do BUSINESS in nigeria, if you want to write programmes as a hubby you are free to wait but if you want to run a software BUSINESS then better arrange your power and start unless the potential gain is not worth the hassle. make una no vex na business i sabi not computer |
^^are u for real? |
What of Tarila Okorowanta? 'Commander' Louis Igwillo, Friday Ekpo? Godwin Odiye also deserves a mention (despite THAT own goal) Samson "zion train" Ozogula, Friday Elaho. Etim Maradona Esim would have been at the very top without question if not for his useless indiscipline, what a waste! |
There's a fantasy novel i read titled "Snowcrash" based on a completely wired world where government has been privatized but i cant remember the name of the author, has anyone read it? The book was listed as one of the top 100 novels of all time by TIME magazine. Was a very very interesting read. |
bros i left with a 2.2 also but i had to add a professional qualification. Good gradesget you thru the door as a fresher but good performance keeps you there. |
^^ I agree with you on the movement of foreigner into health care, i just heard some indians have opened a hospital in abuja that reduces the need for people to go abroad and a second one is also about to open and a third 500bed hospital is being planned in collaboration with some Nigerians. Our people spend more time grumbling about what we lack rather than opportunities on the ground. Lets just START! |
But this is the great PARADOX- The lack of power and infrastructure is in itself a huge investment opportunity, if am a power company operator, stories like this will be music to my ears. Dpends on the kind of glasses we dcide to wear- positive or negative. |
This is obviously a dialogue of the deaf. Things are slow (that's cos of the kind system we run and not due to any one man). GEJ na slow coach but to say he has done nothing is hyperbole. thing is capital projects don't spring up overnight and the economy is tight partly due to non implementation of the budget (again a systemic problem). Like some have said there are positives but the negatives are just more obvious. Make una leave abati, the man has a family to feed. Anyone of you that don't like what he is doing should just turn down the appointment if its ever offered to you and you will be our hero -just make sure you are not a hungry hero, activism does not pay the bills. |
AjanleKoko:broda! you've touched on a very important area, billions of dollars a sitting under peoples feet and all we think about is contracts. Some friends just invested in a solid minerals mine and the prospects are looking very good. I think our youth need to stop talking and start doing, most are waiting for all the lights to be green before they commence. The agricultural sector is also making strides especially poultry and fish farming but the major issue is most of us think too small. A man who has a 500 bird poultry will be happy not knowing he can expand to a million birds and also process! The key is value addition, Nigeria as a nation needs to start adding value. |
the problem is the structure of the industry, the pricing structure is rubbish, until we address the issue of subsidy only the govt can afford (?) to build refineries and we all know how they will end up. |
Ashiri u must be a comedian! The bank has been NATIONALISED! PHB is now none-existent and the shares are now NONE-EXISTENT! 100% total absolute wipe out! The guy owns nothing! an inflated balloon has more value than those "shares" |
You aint seen nothing yet! Just wait for the baby boom generation to start retiring and drawing money for living expenses. Social security is bankrupt and by the time you throw in medicare and medicaid, we are looking at a fiscal gap of roughly $200trillion. Imagine about 50million baby boomers drawing just $2,000 each month from their retirement accounts, that would be about $100billion every month flowing put of the markets. As it stands most retirement funds have been decimated and many may not have enough to retire on. Wahala dey o! |
The report is not thorough, how did she get her job in shell? did she really work in the previous companies she claims, do they exist? Those are the questions the report ought to address. This is a poor job full of innuendo and hints. Yes it appears she falsified her graduation date, but is that ALL? |
L2 be like bus stop, lots of guys get stuck there, maybe they underestimate the level of effort and application required. I think its more of APPLICATION of concepts and not just recalling facts like L1. Just my thinking though. @ Candylips, get back in the game u can crack it! |
Make una leave this junkie babe alone, she's a comic relief on nland, the clown princess of pointless arguments and contradictory statements. In short she's a clown! Just ignore her abeg. |
tblazer:Oga just register and start reading like there's no tomorrow, you will have your own style. Get cracking! scroll through this thread and u will see more than enough info pally. |
sorry bro u go pass dec DV |
Why are you guys bothering your heads about this matter? Its simple, just draw any lesson you like from her life. If you think her lifestyle of drugs and alcohol abuse is great then follow her lead and get the same results (you will end up in a box in no time) If you think it is a bad example then leave healthy and you stand a chance of making it to 90yrs. Its a simple matter of choice, she made her's, lets all make ours. I wont stop you from making your choice but don't expect me to shed a bucketful of tears when the bills come due. Freedom has a small "import duty" called RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE CONSEQUENCES OF YOUR CHOICES. |
The man has been invited to "come and eat". Make una leave the man, he has to make a living, the guy is getting close to retirement and he just realized feeding would be a challenge after that. Newspaper columns and TV appearances doesn't pay the bills in Nigeria. |

chamber2:Obviously you REALLY need to read O.A Lawal if you don't understand my post. |
Stupidity reigns supreme on NLand, a country that PRODUCES NOTHING of note, IMPORTS nearly EVERYTHING and EXPORTS only ONE product of note wants a relatively strong currency. This thread is riddled with so much ignorance its alarming. Wrong information on CBN policy, upside down economic analysis (guys please review your O.A Lawal) Very few people here know what they are talking about. *bracing for the inevitable insult that will follow* |
oil and other naturals are finite and are just an accident of nature. so no big deal. The Japs have zero natural resource to dig up and they are still big cos they exploit the only true inexhaustible resource- the human mind. The GDP can grow by that quantum because they are starting from a low base and you also would want to see it trickle down into peoples pockets and payslips not just on stat sheets and charts. Ghana will be surprised by the effect this oil will have on them. Its not a question of whether corruption will come in but when, the IOCs will teach them corruption. Their politics will get fiercer because the prize just got bigger and crime will increase because the wealth gap will widen dramatically and those left behind will start looking for other means to "bridge the gap". Hold on to your seats it will be a bumpy ride! |
okpara ugo:Excuse me sir, but there is a clear difference in roles, CBN handles Monetary policy while fiscal policy resides with the ministry of finance. If you leaf through O.A Lawal you will understand this simple difference. There's nothing Sanusi has done that is outside his purview, besides Aganga has done a decent job so far. |
Men am surprised the PIB issue is not in the public consciousness as it shd be. I blame our media for that. Omo if GEJ signs PIB he would have done a MAJOR MAJOR service to this country! I go dance kokoma the day dem go sign that bill walahi. FOI na small potatoes compared to that one. |
