Ximenez: If your team is not giving you anything to boast of that doesn't mean you should be envious. I already knew LFC will win the league when they beat Wolverhampton.
And to the people saying klop has a track record of losing finals, you may be right, but this is a league competition of 38 matches. This has conceded just 8 times this season and someone is shouting yansh will soon open. I agree with you, that wolves match showed Liverpool can go all the way. it was a balanced game and tactical for both teams. LFC defence is the key this season, cos they've been scoring lots of goals before this season. |

Properties › Re: Photos: 30yrs Erosion Menace Swallows Over 50 Houses In Nnewi by mrLhanray(m): 9:45pm On Jun 21, 2018 |
edunwablog: Residents of Ekwuru community, 100 Foot Road between Okpuno-Uzodike and Okpuno-Egbu, Nnewi, Anambra State are living in perpetual fear over a dreaded erosion site that has already destroyed more than fifty buildings in the area.
Palace Secretary of Uruagu community leader under whose domain the problem is raging, Prince Obi Nwabufo told our reporter that the ecological problem has been there for the past 30 years with the erosion eating the site slowly but steadily until now that it has swallowed series of buildings and some lives lost.
“Most of our people have lost their residential houses, farmlands and other belongings to the erosion menace. That you were told over 50 buildings have been destroyed by the erosion is not an exaggeration counting from when the problem started. It is more than that. The erosion has been there for over 30 years and despite several appeals made to the government nothing has been done about it. It has been all promises. All the buildings around there are all gone and many are still under threat. Government should do something about it and urgently, too before we become internally displaced since it is advancing to sack us. We are begging,” Prince Nwabufo said.
One of the elders of the community, Innocent Azubuike said he returned from the North East of Nigeria to start life afresh after his livelihood had been devastated by the Boko Haram insurgents only to discover that all his farm lands had been washed away by the erosion.
Newson9ja learnt that a culvert was built around the site during President Ibrahim Babangida’s military regime which was the government presence that could be found around the erosion site since it started. And obviously the erosion is fast moving towards the popular multibillionaire Nkwo Nnewi motorcycles market. The market is only a f
ew metres away from the site. A couple of residential buildings were seen helplessly standing around the edges of the erosion site which may not survive another round of rainy season.
A school proprietor, Mr Ibenezim Stephen whose school is almost consumed by the erosion menace explained that it was during President Babangida’s administration through the then Finance Minister, Chief Chu Okongwu that the erosion was controlled by an engineering company.
“After the attempt to control it that time, people started excavating sand, iron and other scraps at the site and that continued without being checked. We have complained to local, State and Federal governments about what is happening there, yet non of them has come to our rescue while the erosion continues to eat deep down the site,” he complained.
Mr Stephen noted that the community members had before it got out of their control spent a lot of money trying to fight it, planting giant bamboo trees, all to no avail. He said that each time it rained people living around the site would be afraid of the unknown.
“Not quite long ago, two brothers going to market fell into the erosion gully and died. There was a case of another pregnant woman who fell into the site with her bike and died. We are not talking about the number of buildings already destroyed and the occupants displaced and devastated. The erosion has already caused a lot of havoc,” he recounted.
Mr Stephen appealed to the Federal Ministry of Works and Anambra State Ministry of Environment to come and at least verify the cry of the community members before it becomes too late.

IBB's actions during his time in power, collapsed Nigeria in all aspect. All institutions in this country collapsed and it's been difficult to resurrect them. The least he can do now is to apologise for June 12 annulment, rather than explain the unexplainable. Abiola won, IBB denied him his mandate. Nigeria's problems started in IBB's time in office, he should just keep quiet and stay in Minna, while his off-springs enjoy the wealth he amassed. They brought in Abacha who was a Dictator |

salt1: This is not a case of 'I'm better than others ". But just you know that not all churches are in this business of fleecing others. Apostolic Faith Church with headquarters at Anthony Village doesn't pass collection plates, in fact, hasn't done so for more than 100years. There is an offering box at the back where people go, at their convenience, to drop their contributions to the church or even gifts for members to ensure anonymity. Nobody knows or keeps a record of who is paying what.
The church organizes evangelism to schools, visits to the blind centres, hospitals and prisons. Gifts of food, clothing and financial support are taken to these places every week. Apostolic Faith preaches old-fashioned Christian integrity messages and the need to live a transparent Christian life to make heaven. I know such churches are not very popular because they don't have flamboyant leaders but servant volunteers who, instead of receiving from the flock, are making their tents, (yes many of the pastors are volunteers not on salaries) and supporting others. As I said, this is just for information and to spare us from making generalizations that's how it ought to be. I will start worshipping in this church. some churches will even line up members row by row to go drop offering in front of the podium, out of shame you will want to drop something even its the last dime on him, cos the whole church is watching. money for church should be donations out of your free will. some of these churches only care about your money. they will say God said we should build this or do that, which God didn't tell them. as we all know any thing said by the pastor using the name of God is like a command |

MissRaine69: Know this I did not suffer labour pains for 4 days to deliver my son so that he could alleviate you from poverty that is the role of your parents I did not carry my son for 9 months, struggle through his formative years Struggle with his father to send him and his siblings to school so that you could demand he buys you expensive gifts. We did not Experience the anxieties of watching him head buried in his books studying for exams. Watched his father offer him words of encouragement as he lay awake wondering if he had been accepted into the University of his choice. His father and I sat there one of the proudest moments we experienced as parents watching him graduate. Life was never meant to be easy getting a job was the biggest mountain he had to climb. Do you know how many rejections from employers he received? Do you know how it broke our hearts when we struggled to find words to keep his spirits up?
I remember the day I received that phone call he had finally made it he both his feet were now firmly on the ground. Then he met you a stunning goddess but to my dismay a woman who did not tire of talking about herself. A woman who was empty inside a women who responded with " If you say so" when we spoke about current affairs. I realise now in hindsight your area of expertise was IG , FB & celebrity gossip.
A woman who laughed when I asked her what she hopped to do. You pointed at my son and said "he will take care of me now!" Who will take care of you? My son ? I don't think so. You are not his responsibility. He is not in servitude to pander to your whims.
He was distressed when he came to visit us he told me you wanted better accommodation you were tired of sharing, and you also wanted a car. How could he afford all this when he had just stared working? You stopped talking to him it was heartbreaking to see his distress. My son is not the IMF that bails struggling entities like you out of complete financial meltdown. He is trying to make you happy but happiness to you equates to money. Dear broke women my son is not your ATM.
He owes you nothing, he is not obligated to do Anything for you. He will do something because he wants to not because he has to or because you give him an ultimatum.
Dear broke women he owes no loyalty to you because all you seek is an opportunity. He is your salvation out of a situation. You don't love my son you love money. this is lovely. most ladies nowadays care less about a guy's family. he should just spend money on you and nobody else. any relationship/marriage based on how much you spend, will come crashing soon, cos not only will you find it hard to sustain, she also will demand more. reason why we have so many girls into prostitution, greedy and lazy. that with pvzzy, they can easily get want the want. fair weather girls should be avoided for a serious relationship... |
