lol...so in essence we should support Tinubu for president because....wait for it....Fashola performed well? Lol...Palm oil logic
No. He should be considered because he has proven to be good at putting intelligent and hard working people in power. Which is what Nigeria needs desperately. You should make him a Governor of one of your yeast infected states, it might only be someone like him that can pull your region from the depths of hell that it currently resides in. If not the Boko Haram NW the SE would easily take the lowest poorest region in Nigeria award.

Lagos is an absolutely STUNNING city. Kudos to Lagos and the plan of succession set by Tinubu. I don't love or hate the man. But you can't deny the work he's done for the state.

What stops YOU from adding a building there?

Or is it not your mates that are building properties there?

Mr Critic.

Which bungalows did you even see there?
I wonder how he thinks one tall building ends up being many. Maybe he thinks they all appear at the same time. Some black people have so little self worth that when they see others building they can't help but tear it down because they themselves are worthless. A psychologist needs to do a study on this. Many people would be diagnosed with this disorder.

Felabrity:
yes but you can't send them back

Ban their source of income and watch criminal activities skyrock
This is why Lagos, and Southwest overall, needs to invest MASSIVELY in prisons. At some point all these criminals needs to be placed in prison. Just look at your response, no job go to crime. Instead of ppl to travel to another state with less competition and more opportunity for work, people will quickly resort to crime. There's a reason you don't see major crimes in major cities, they can arrest people and place them in prisons in the millions if they try nonsense. Lagos needs to do the same.

You might as well say Lagos is successful because of Facebook or because of Lionel Messi.

Your theory is just YOUR opinion nothing more
Wha resources exactly are being "funneled" to Lagos? Are they more than that being funneled to Rivers State, Delta State or Akwa Ibom?
Today the UK is returning money Ibori looted.
What does Delta State and Akwa Ibom State have to show for the billions received under Ibori and Akpabio?
In the last 30 years Name the FG projects that were completed in Lagos State
Educate yourself
https://www.nairaland.com/4144976/lagos-1898before-nigeria-not-oil/4

Long before the Nigerian Amalgamation in 1914

Lagos has ALWAYS been ahead of every other Nigerian city or town

Indeed the FG wanted to "kill" Lagos when they left in 1990/1991 abandoning infrastructure to rot. National Stadium, National Theatre, Federal Secretariat all abandoned to rats and snakes

In 1999 Lagos State had an internal generated revenue of 12 billion Naira a year and was in the doldrums. . Lagos is prosperous because of its location as the first seaport in Nigeria a position it has held for over 100 years.
In the last 20 years it has been transformed by visionary leadership
Lagos is NOT a net receiver of resources . It is a Net contributor
Just two items VAT and contributions from the Ports are more than what some entire regions contribute

Spare us this tired lamentation that Lagos is what it is at the expense of anyone. Lagos is being held back by Nigeria and not the other way round
Say it again and louder for those that won't hear. I will expand on this. Yorubaland is being held back by Nigeria. All these okada riders will now be going to Ogun, Osun, Oyo as if there aren't vast lands in the north they can't get okada business. These people can't develop one damn city in their own regions to attract their own ppl and prevent the further burden on Lagos. They all cram into Lagos like zombies. I don't blame Fashola for deporting some of them. Their leaders might as well be lifeless. I just hope this country disintegrates. It will be glorious to watch lazy governors get eaten alive when they're forced to all of a sudden do their jobs.

PoliticsRe: Osinbajo Vs Akinwumi Adesina: Who Do You Think Will Win? by MrMaestro:
There will be no elections happening in 2023. Each region going their own way. They can contest for Yoruba Nation presidency though if they like. I'll prefer Adesina in that case. He has more connections to the international and intercontinental community. Vital for a new Yoruba Nation.

For me after his excellency Professor Yemi Osinbajo SAN flag off Lagos Ibadan standard guage line, my family land grew in value to almost 2000% around Ibadan dry in land port and standards guage rail terminal

This is a personal financial and developmental gain

Ife-iwo- Ibadan new road is also going to skyrocket my family property around that axis all thanks to Fashola

So I ask you how have you also personally gained from Ibos Marginalisation
Don't sell it. Only rent it. Turn some into commercial units and rent it only.

PoliticsRe: Oduduwa Republic: Tinubu, Gbaja, Govs, Others To Hold Meeting by MrMaestro: 4:11pm On May 17, 2021
Yorubas lead. Others follow. Expect other governors to start springing into action. Some people can only yell and scream. Others get into action and sieze destiny into their own hands. May this meeting be the first domino to Oduduwa Nation.

If Tinubu wants to be the GodFather of Oduduwa Nation, SO BE IT! He's earned it over the years. And his line of succession in Lagos is better than ANY other governor past and present in Nigerian history. I challenge everyone to name me a governor in Nigeria that has a better line of succession than Tinubu. You can't. You may not like it, but RESULTS SPEAK FOR THEMSELVES. Lagos isn't just the best city in Nigeria, it's one of the best cities in Africa PERIOD. He turned Lagos into one of the wealthiest african cities, right behind the white developed Cape Town/ Johannesburg, and longstanding Cairo.

PoliticsRe: Stop Comparing 1 Dollar To 1 Naira, It Does Not Make Economic Sense by MrMaestro: 10:04pm On May 14, 2021
hargbolahan01:
you already answered the question yourself.... import EVERYTHING
Since we import everything with dollar we have no choice than to dance to it tune and try to keep it low so that we can afford basic things.....the reason why everyone cares about dollar is because it is tied with everything in our market
No it really isn't. It's not tied to food at all. Maybe other things, but not food and shelter. Which is most important. And we don't just import from U.S., we also import from China, India, Brazil and others with much more favorable exchange rates. Regardless, the U.S./Naira comparison is idiotic.
PoliticsRe: Stop Comparing 1 Dollar To 1 Naira, It Does Not Make Economic Sense by MrMaestro: 9:43pm On May 14, 2021
Just to add, for the idiots, $1 = $109 Japanese Yen. And $1 = $5.27 Brazilian Reals. I want to hear the idiot that says Brazil has a better economy than Japan. Many people don't have a basic understanding of economics. Exchange rates have nothing to do with local cost of goods sold. Though the problem is Nigeria imports EVERYTHING. The moment we start to manufacture our own things, the less relevant these exchange comparisons become.

No it's not. You call the"Republic of Southern Nigeria" a "nation". Get that through your thick skull, it won't happen, not with Yorubas. The rest of you can do whatever you like.

Check my comment you'll see me saying southern unity . I even made reference to UK. UK is not a country, there countries that form UK.
People were taking it too far anytime they hear anything Igbo thats whats making me go lengthy arguing tho.
UK for all intents and purposes is a country. Yorubas want ZERO political affiliation with the other regions in the south. We only want Yoruba Nation. Period. There's no need to call it anything. The governors can organize a referendum right now

We're saying the samething from different angle. We unite to divide that's what have been trying to say.
We don't have to be in same country. Southwest need to control pollution and her borders.

But presently south need to speak with one voice of leaving Nigeria. Simple!
There's no such thing as "Republic of Southern Nigeria". It's best to get that out of your thoughts now. A united southern secession organization is the only thing people should be pushing for.
