PoliticsRe: ₦1.15 Trillion Approved, ₦0 Disbursed — The Full Story By Hon. Alex Mascot by MrOkenwa(m): 8:35am On Mar 01
An average Nigerian is probably not aware of this money. Thank you Hon. Mascot for bringing this to the spotlight. Nigerians should please do well to follow this and make this government accountable for it. This is crime against every citizen of Nigeria and nobody should politicize this. This is one of the very many reasons we are not progressing as a country. It’s very sad.
HealthRe: The Part Of HIV Care We Don’t Talk About Enough: "Privacy" by MrOkenwa(m): 12:55pm On Jan 02
RetroviralS:
Most young people my age worry about grades, jobs, or relationships.

I worry about who might see me when I go to get my medication.

As an AYPLHIV (Adolescent/Young Person Living with HIV), the fear isn’t always about the drugs themselves. It’s about being seen. Being recognized. Being asked questions you’re not ready to answer.

For many of us, privacy means everything.

Some people delay refills because they’re scared of meeting someone they know at a clinic. Others avoid certain centers entirely because they don’t want their status to become a conversation. A few travel far from home just to remain anonymous.

Living should not come with that kind of fear.

I’ve been fortunate in some ways, but I know how heavy this burden is for many AYPLHIV. The constant need to protect your identity. The anxiety that comes with every visit. The exhaustion of always having to explain yourself or hide. This is why discretion matters.

At Retroviral Solutions, we understand that not everyone wants to be known. Not everyone wants to talk. Some people just want their medication, their privacy, and the peace of mind that comes with knowing they are safe.

And we respect that.

We provide antiretroviral medications discreetly. With no exposure. No unnecessary questions. No judgment. For those who need it, we also offer quiet, respectful consultations — on your terms, at your pace.

Because access should never cost you your dignity.

There’s a kind of relief in being able to live without fear of being identified. In knowing you can take care of your health without worrying about who is watching.

That’s why organizations like Retroviral Solutions matter. Not just because we provide medication, but because we protect privacy. We protect trust. We protect lives.

If this were your story, what would make you feel safest when accessing care?

Let’s talk, quietly, respectfully, and on your terms.
Privacy/Disclosure
You have the right to privacy and it is the responsibility of your doctor to ensure that your medical records are protected and can only be shared based on your consent.
A logistics company trying to step in to ease the supply of prescribed antiretroviral drugs to users is a good idea, hopefully it would be affordable and won’t prey on people’s insecurity/vulnerability.

I am sure abroad where you live it is not all paved. You are required to mow your compound all the time. Your mower cost money and time as well. So why can't you make same sacrifice to preserve your ancestry land?
I wouldn’t mind maintaining my garden if I was in Nigeria.

Dalohad:
Make sure you have only ONE Tenant at a time. Tell him to live for free or take very little rent. Most preferably a Family man with a wife and kids. Ultimately, he would be responsible for keeping the compound clean.

An Igbo Adage says - The Dog that is owned by everyone dies of hunger, because Okeke may assume that Okafor have fed it, and vice versa.

The tenant in my country home pays 0Naira in rent and is responsible for keeping everywhere clean.
Thank you for the advice. Someone had mentioned this to me before. I don’t have a spare space, It’s a stand alone duplex. I think I will just build a self contained as security apartment and get someone to live there.
PropertiesRe: The Ugly Trend Of Paving The Entire Compound by MrOkenwa(m): 4:26pm On Dec 24, 2025
Who would maintain the compound for me?
The ones I let out, tenants are usually not interested to take any responsibility for the compounds.
I live abroad and won’t know if they are messing things up.
Many Nigerians lack maintenance culture.
The green area in my country home is always overgrown and paying someone every quarter did not resolve it. I’ll pave everything once I go home next year.
Make e look ugly, na me get am.

His life, his choice. When people use the word help, I find it interesting for multiple reasons. In this case, if those who can help chooses not to leave, will their providing help meet their needs?
Rather than gaslight those who are leaving, call on the government to create an enabling environment where they can strive and succeed.
Thank you. I rarely give comments on threads like this. I didn’t want to leave. In fact, I always criticize my colleagues that left the country until Nigeria happened to me. I have chosen to help Nigerians in a different way but I have left for good. So help me God😁.
Those doctors who choose to stay should continue where we stopped.

oyeb15:
Well done. More employment is welcome cos a lot of people are jobless.

Moreover, the attitude of Doctors to patients is very worse in dat state. From d state teaching hospital to other general hospitals in each Local government. You hardly find doctors on duty in general hospitals.

Nigeria is not functioning well to be honest.
You rarely see doctors in those hospitals because they don’t have much doctors left within their services.

Is this a fact ?my contact at Best Aluminium says atleast for them even their other competitors First Aluminum and Firtst Express don't have any problem with thickness. Metcoppo had design flaw coupled with poor currugators + handling that cause it break even before installing...

Other than that 0,45 very suitable guage for any roof not flat... I guess one who is buying roofing sheets should ensure they buy from reputable companies same way we rods...
With the headaches that I have had with leaky roofs, I’ll never advise anyone to use any aluminium less than 0.5 thick.

Kabiyesi does not need to purchase that with his own money.
Common Nigerians are even buying more expensive ones.

PropertiesRe: 80% Of Lekki Buildings Have No Approval, Says LASG by MrOkenwa(m): 7:45am On May 06, 2024
I will encourage everyone building in Lagos state to do proper documentation before embarking on such project. It is your responsibility to do things right. Government can stop you at any stage. Unfortunately, demolition seems to garner more sympathy from the public.
If the government relax on these regulations, Lagos will be littered with many nonsense structures and this will have environmental consequences. Imagine people criticizing the government for demolishing shanties and buildings built along the waterways. Same people criticizing the govt for not preventing floods.
It’s simple, if you can’t do it right in Lagos state, don’t do it at all.

Of course they are. I’m responsible for their welfare and it’s the first thing I make budget for every month, before anything else.
They name what they want and they get it.

True. Just that some people hold special places in some people’s hearts, due to past relationships. Unfortunately, many of these folks had let their trusted clients down at some point.
Not sure I can ever try what I do with you with anyone else here. I literally sent you money and you just spend it on what you think is proper to do on my project and tell me what next. Na you go still suggest the quality and quantity. You clearly know I no longer scrutinize things as far as it’s you. This is because you have built the trust to that level.
Do you think I’ll be so naive to try that with the likes of what people call “trust” here?
That somebody delivered a job doesn’t mean the person did not or will not overcharge you if you loose guard.
Just continue to be you.

If cash inflow is guaranteed, start and see how far it goes.
PoliticsRe: Oyebanji Disburses ₦‎500 Million Gratuities To Pensioners by MrOkenwa(m): 4:10pm On Mar 19, 2024
With his current model of 200m naira monthly to offset a 40 billion Naira backlog, it’ll take him 200 months (over 8 years) and that’s if nobody is retiring to join the list. Las las, most of these elderly folks that served the state win their prime would die without receiving their entitlements.
The reality is that aside from Lagos state, none of these governors send the retirees. The earlier those who are still in the state civil service realize this and plan well for their future post retirement, the better.
My mom retired back then in 2012. She hasn’t been paid her gratuity yet and the governor keep tossing them around.

When a tenant by pass prepaid meter and acquire illegal bills, is there a way for NEPA to carry this bill over to the tenant if they vacate the building. I have a tenant and want to make plenty wahala with him, even if it will cost more to make the wahala. He moved out and moved into a near by apartment after acquiring illegal bills.
Just report him to the nearest police station and submit a petition to the disco serving your area with your evidence.
For me, I made it mandatory for my property manager to visit all my apartments in his care every month and he must check their meters. We’ve just included the mandatory quarterly inspection of the apartments to our policy. This is because the 10% they paid as caution charges will no longer be enough to fix any significant damage.
