Nukilia:Yes. Lol, I have read a lot about the research reactor in ABU Zaria and even followed up on their recent activities even the current plan for Nuclear powerplant. Though it is not a high energy research reactor but it operated a HEU prior to 2019 until it was converted to LEU. https://www.iaea.org/newscenter/news/nigeria-converts-its-research-reactor-from-heu-to-leu-fuel No one knows because our press is as bad as our health and safety measures. |
Nukilia:Lol. Jokers You don't even take yourselves serious, yet expect the world to take you ![]() That's the gospel truth up there, we are all sand and dusts but "At the end". So what do we do until becoming one? |
itsme01:Though we are synonymous to carelessness, and breaking down of protocols. However, the design and operation of Nuclear power plants are not same way as other poorly managed operations. In fact, even the Fukushima accidents has not done more negative impacts than the continuously daily oil spillages in South South that has continued to gulp trillions of naira and everyone is happy as long as it is "oil". A nuclear power plants are more secured than Aso Rock. Most accidents by on nuclear facilities has been as a result of natural accidents leading to tsunami. If built, Russians will continue to operate while a lot of Nigerians will receive high technical training in that area. Rosatom will operate it for many years and hand over to Nigeria. Many countries has a lot of Nuclear Plants, China is currently building 7 simultaneously, and South Africa is building one. |
Agugbadin:You nairalander's love to argue without facts. You haven't even read about him, you haven't even handled a radioactive substance yourself. Quit this blind argument. Prof. is the present chairman of the Nigeria Nuclear Atomic Energy Commission. He spearheaded the development of the action plan on the development of Nigeria's nuclear power plant that is currently on going. He is the executive chairman of the ministry which is directly under the presidency. The professor was the lead project manager in the conversion of the research reactor in ABU zaria from highly enriched uranium (HEU) to low enriched uranium (LEU), a project that gulped $5m and done in the highest secrecy. Prof. delivered lectures at the international atomic energy agency (IAEA) around February and has been attending conferences. Now who are you? |
This is so sad. I have read a lot about the professor and the things he is doing in the Nuclear Atomic Energy Commission. Indeed he is an endangered specie and this is so sad for the country. Another professor that I know will take over him is Prof. Mattew Agu. OMG |
lilwetdick:I have read your argument from first page to this page. I don't think you are making a complete argument by not considering other factors that affects marriage. Like someone said, his sister and her husband got married both unemployed. Very soon, you will soon realize that while money rules the world, it is not the ultimate. I read where you were pressured to say that a man earning 100k should consider money. My first salara was above 100k and I considered myself a poor and broke boy. I mean, you could see those boys doing business in Ogbete, Onitsha and Aba who earn that within 15 days and they are not still proud. Even when it doubled, they were things I can't still do with such salary. In fact, a man earning 200k will hardly save money to buy a good car (not Nigerian used, except he borrowed money to buy the car). Let's put things straight, a university graduate assistant earns between 95-100k (before tax). Most Federal Ministry workers earn 80-120k, and except you are working in FIRS, NCC, CAC or any of those top agencies, you are still not earning as you should earn. In fact, the starting salary for FIRS (level is betwen 180-220k. Though you will argue about their allowances etc. My point is, when you see people from the aforementioned places of work, you will give out your sister to them for marriage. But the above salaries are not upto what those in Coal Camp Enugu, Wuse Market, etc earn and don't even consider themselves as being rich or speak ill of those earning far below. Soon, the people that believe in what you preach will begin to earn money, and then think they deserve every lady on Facebook. You'd see them in the DMs of every slayqueen on facebook because they think that with their money/job, they should be with the top woman in the society. And those ladies in turn, will drain them and render them useless. I have a friend that earns about 170k, before the month ends, he will come begging to borrow money. |
Wroxxane:See, they is a large place for love and happiness in marriage, same space also goes for money but the former is more important. One characteristics of money is that it is insatiable. Most people talking about 100k, it's not even enough. Infact, my summed income sometime ago was above 400k and I still never saw it as enough. I was faced with a lot of responsibilities that even the 400k wasn't enough. But in those times, I knew it was not about money but true love and happiness. My sister got married to a struggling lawyer, I was many times richer than him but she was happy with him and wanted to help him achieve his dream. They got married and things has still not changed as expected but each time I call them, you would see the joy and smiles on their faces. I know she's happy and living her life. That is what life is bro. With all the money I had, I wasn't leading a happy life as it were. I was struggling, trying to earn more because I was afraid it will go down some day. I was struggling to increase it and earn more. At a point, I started looking for true joy and happiness. All the ladies that came afterwards where people who came because they saw there's money. I have my own car, live good and even have few lands. The dreams are there yet it's been from one lady to another. You never can tell who truly loves you. We shouldn't place emphasis on money. It is not the solution to life. You will keep preaching money until you raise young guys who will earn money but lose purpose or understanding of the true meaning of life. |
DECENCY3:Some men when they are struggling, they can be real humble. But when money comes, they think they deserve all instagram slay queens. Same with young boys who are unemployed. You see them make good plans for themselves. Immediately good job comes, they dish those plans away and rush to facebook, twitter, and instagram. You will see them in the DMs of those slayqueens where they spend money trying to impress them or sleep with them. Those are the people that poverty made humble, they are not humble as it were. I am sorry for your experience. And he was earning 100k oo, not even a big money and he was already feeling himself. |
eyinjuege:I think the husband didn't understand where it was coming from-which is his wife. And he has no right to beat his wife no matter the reason. But when it is coming from someone who has no business in your life, then the above from you doesn't make sense and I don't have the strength to argue further. |
Mrsprissy:It's simple madam. I am sure your husband never dictated the kind of things you should wear. Most men (including me) find it so disrespectful if we allow you do your thing and you then turn a dictator to us. I don't know if I have same personality with your husband but I must tell you, I will be very very angry. Big things don't really get me angry but just a little thing like this could trigger me anyway. |
AwkaetitiBabe:Exactly. Some women don't understand that some of us don't like when we don't dictate what you put on and you turn out to dictate same to us. I don't know if I would react same way but one thing is sure, I will be very angry. A lady recently told me never to cut my hair so low again. That having a low cut make me look like a kid I was angry and told her never to wear a bra again. She then asked how wearing bra and hair correlate. I told her it's very simple. Since she now dictate the kind of hair I should barb, then I will dictate the kind of clothes she should wear. Maybe we are few |
kayzee2374:PTDF selects the subjects. Yo are not given the opportunity to select. They have their subjects and you will be graded according to your scores in those subjects. |
raphemmanuel:It's been tough for you, I must admit. Sales are currently low for everyone. As a level one, you have just few advantage over others. In fact, I can say it doesn't matter. All that matters is your ranking. I was demoted to level one this month and my ranking went down even with lots of good reviews. I can't remember last time I had anything lower than 5 star review. I only feed from repeat buyers like the one that placed the order below tonight.

I learned to trust Okada/bike men to deliver babes to my house if they do not know the way more than I can trust my friends |
Zhirinovsky:Experiencing same problem. Lol |
This is the best decision the federal government has taken in recent times. Someone was trying to please Buhari |
ArticleBeast:Payoneer |
I followed the advise from guys here and initiated a withdrawal of $1311 to my Zenith account. Tomorrow will make it 1 week and no show. I have contacted them via twitter and was told to write a letter of instruction to convert fund to naira and also fill one indemnity form. I did all that and no show yet. ![]() I was contacted on Monday to indicate the exchange rate is 362/$ on my letter, I did that still no show. I would have followed my normal process of withdrawing to Diamond bank but Zenith Bank's exchange rate got me. Who else is in this? (I am currently not in the country, so I can't work into the bank) Modified: I just got the alert Zenith Bank converted @362/$Sales is damn slow coupled with level demotions ![]() |
LadyHeaven:It's same email I responded to twice |
LadyHeaven:I just dig |
LadyHeaven:I guess i have responded to your email |
Mixedfraction:Lol. Everyone including me can't imagine what will happen when my grandfather is no more. He is a heirachy member though and some of my uncle doesn't even care. They will just leave his corpse to their members, wetin concern us concern dead body. Whatever they want make them do. I have seen where they exchange greetings and its just not normal greeting. I have also asked my grandfather few questions and he played smart about it. I know how they do membership registration and few other things. That guy doesn't know much or do not want to say anything. They are very secretive and will rarely reveal anything going on. I think he is a member. He will never say anything |
Lonelypacifist6:I never also believed my grandfather or grandmother did/do any evil. Until now, my grandfather will never say 5 words without mentioning Jesus Christ. But trust me, there's something going on beyond the eyes. You are not a member. When my grandmother died and was about to be buried, in the night leading to her burial day, Ogboni members came in. Immediately they arrived, my grandfather ordered everyone in the compound to leave. Lol. Everyone was scared. They came to the wake keep event, and left same night. I believe they came because of my grandfather and my uncle whom my grandfather convinced to join. Bro, they are things you don't know about them or you are hiding. |
Lonelypacifist6:Except you are a member, you shouldn't say with certainty what they do and what they do not do. My grandfather is a member of ROF, he has been there for a long time, more than 35 years. He's called Oluwo Iledi by his colleagues when I was small. He is still alive today. Because he was a member, and like your mum, my grandmother joined him. Each time, like every 3 months or so, they would go for a meeting, and come back with a lot of foods, drinks, etc, and my mum and brothers would be enjoying and praying for the next meeting time. When my mother realized they were in Ogboni, she frequently urged my grandmother to come out and the rest. My grandmother never believed they do evil but trust me, I strongly doubt it. At last, she was convinced and she handed over ROF, their properties and became a real woman of God until her death. My grandfather is still alive and kicking. He reads his bible frequently and will never say evil of ROF. However, they are evil things about them I strongly believe. What people don't know is that most pastors especially the White garment churches are members of ROF. A lot of things to say. However, I urge you most earnestly to always pressure your mum to come out, as for your dad, he will never come out. You know why? |
otomatic:Chai, we will remain the worst country in Nigeria with the kind of people with same mindset. For your information, the only thing that can cause an accident in a Nuclear power plant as built before and today is natural disaster. Aside natural disaster, nuclear power plant does not pose any risk to anyone. Waste management is something you should be talking about |
Supersymetry:Solar technology though the cleanest is not even an option for Nigeria except we don't want to ever experience constant power. People shouting nuclear disaster probably don't know what a power plant or nuclear energy is |
otomatic:I am very sure you enjoy constant blackout in Nigeria. You like to blame government and still don't want solutions. Just mention any country where Solar is their major source of power except Morocco? Some of you just come to nairaland to talk nonsense |
damosade:Lol. Bros, I no get strength again. However, Nuclear Energy is the cleanest energy after solar. It possesses no danger to anyone except your mindset |
erico2k2:Of course I know you are not. What you should be bothered about is Nuclear Waste. Nuclear Power plants itself does not pose any risk to anyone except when there is a natural disaster as we saw in Fukushima Daiichi and Chernobyl. It's built with high regulations. Nigeria already has a road map to it's nuclear energy, I doubt they will follow it. The contract is for Rosatom to build, manage and handover to Nigerians. However, all cost implication is on RosAtom. Lol, bad anyway. |
erico2k2:If I answer your question, won't you think I am as dumb as you are ![]() You that don't even know what is LEU and HEU. You don't even know when a nuclear Fuel is classified as enriched or low. You know nothing about the research reactor in Nigeria and how it operated. Same you that now want to ask me question about Nuclear Energy? ![]() |
caprini1:Lol, you think everyone is looking for job. You were all of the thread mentioning Fukushima and chernobyl you know nothing about |
erico2k2:I was thinking you'd be smart, but you aren't. Sorry about. I am sure you have learned alot today. Read more about the difference between Nuclear weapon and nuclear power plants. Watch TEDex too and support this gold idea from the government |
