Ishmael is not from God. He was a result of Sarah's impatience who forced Abraham to sleep with their CONCUBINE.

Isaac is the covenant child that God promised Abraham whom he had with SARAH his WIFE.

Ishmael's birth was a generational mistake. Just as bad as Adam's transgression.
And his seed has been an evil thorn in Isaac's flesh till today. When Israel sinned, God allowed their enemies including Ishmelites (Philistians, Moabites, hivites etc) to afflict and enslave them.
