Fulaman198: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seal_(musician)Sorry.....Wikipedia isn't a credible source. I prefer direct quote from the person. |
Amicus Curiae: Keep wishing. Maybe one day, if u preach enough, women will stop being fake and men will stop chasing after fake women. what is so real about the average bride on her wedding day- fake hair, fake nails, fake eyelashes, make up, and a dress that is designed to make even the most shapeless woman look divine? Still, I'm yet to meet a man who divorced his wife because her eyelashes are not as long he thought or her nails aren't naturally white tipped or her hair is not as long as the Brazilian hair she had flowing down her back the day he met her. If u eally want change, then talk to the guys... If u guys didn't glamourize artificiality in women, I think most girls wouldn't feel the need to spend so much money on enhancements. Abi is it not because of men we spend hours and thousands of Naira in the salon getting tugged at, burned, scratched etc? Just so at the end of the day, our man can say proudly "Sweetie, u look amazing". Ofcourse too much of anything is bad, but stop making it seem like it's a crime to do these things. And sorry, it's not for sex...my mother and ALL my aunties (even those in their sixties) receive money from their husbands (yes, their husbands give them the money) to do these things. I actually have an uncle who came to complain to my mother that his wife never does these things even when he buys them for her, gives her money to go shopping etc. The woman is forming natural...her husband is in misery. S o speak for urself sweetie..it's ridiculous to assume that of the 3 Billion men on planet earth, they'll all think like u. No one is important enough to tell the entire human race what they should like and what they shouldnt.Exactly! The only person a man should tell his appearance/bodily functions pet peeves is the woman he is married to and/or dating. Trust me the ones that makes the most noise are the ones that are with "fake" women. Don't let the bullhorn fool you. ![]() Otherwise, they wouldn't waste their time trying to prove their points. |
Adetayo100: What do you smoke?Igbo with generator fluid. |
Goldieluks: Pinch her on her lips, she will feel it, duh!LMAO! ![]() What if she smacks the shit out of him? |
Fulaman198: Isn't he half Nigerian/half Brazilian? Either way some Brazilian I guess are of Nigerian origin (high Yoruba concentration in Brazil). From what I have gathered over the years of reading/heard about Seal, he is Nigerian. If he is mixed I wouldn't know since I didn't read anything regarding that. |
Yep! It is all good and no argument here. I guess I must have confused your "I don't believe the story" as if Yoruba men do not marry outside their tribe since you said we are saying the same thing. ![]() |
Once again.
I saw that without the added font size.... However...what didn't you believe about the story? |
First of all, to correct your first assumption and whatever it is you read on NL, Yoruba men don't flock to Igboland, most intertribal happens in Lagos. Secondly, you just basically repeated what I said in my post. Yoruba men/ women are not innocent in intertribal marriages, Yoruba women are "shy" about interracial marriages tho. But I noticed that the rate has increased. . . .
First, I know Yoruba women are more likely to marry their native brothers. It is not uncommon to see Yoruba men with non-Yoruba women. That's something I have seen PERSONALLY and not on Nairaland. Whether inter-marriage is in Lagos or Ph...they still didn't marry their native counterparts. |
Bull Shoit!!! I don't believe this story one bit!!! Yorubas marry outside of the Yoruba ethnicity. If this was an Igbo man, I'd have believed it. Anyways, leave the douche bag. If he can't fight for you, then he's not worth it.
Idi suga! You know damn well Yoruba men are marrying and chasing women outside Yorubaland! What about those Yoruba men flocking to Igboland for Igbo women? Don't get me started on the white women! |
SAFO: Good for you, you'll be better off in the long run. If he truly wanted it to work, it would.Did your mother paid your father's parents....$1,000? Just kidding! I believe that people put too much into what the parents will feel. If the parents love their children unconditionally and wants the best for their children...they will allow their children to choose the person, even if they choose an alien. I have stressed several times that parents should trust that their children learned from them all they can by adulthood. Set them free and allow them to learn from their mistakes....it is the best teacher. Not saying marrying someone from a different ethnic group is a mistake but learning to pick a mate base on character goods and compatibility instead of what everyone else thinks or does. |
Uchebobo: If a house and wedding ring options are offered, would you opt for wedding ring instead of the house? how important is wedding ring to you?Traditionally...it is important for those who ae heavily in culture usually brainwashed individuals. But, you determine how your marriage would work for you and yours. If you guys aren't into rings...it is not necessary and it has nothing to do with the legality of your marriage. Once you are married.....you are married with or without the ring. |
Why did Heidi Klum married Seal (an ugly arse Nigerian)? ![]() |
