you make a good point.

@topic, I don't think they are necessarily "more attracted" to jamo, akata, islander women, white, latino or whatever race etc. Just that these women are "easier" and I don't mean "easy" in a derogatory way. I mean easy as in more openminded and "sexy" I guess. like this poster i'm quoting has said.

A lot of Nigerian women, from experience, know not to believe most of these guys "toasting" and ignore them. they are just trying to hit and run if you know what I mean. 90% of the time, they will say the same thing to the next girl they meet  tongue
we know these things because we grew up with them and know them inside out. lol

One thing you should keep in mind is that Nigerian women abroad have very low rate of teenage pregnancy/ single parenthood etc. compared to jamo, akata, islander women and the likes.
and the idea of "baby mama" etc isn't in nigerian woman's vocabulary.

I think men are more likely to go for women that will respond better to their advances not women who are likely to turn them down.
It is unfortunate that the baby mama craze is sweeping USA and majority of these baby mamas are white and on welfare.   However, the question were pertaining to Jamo, Akata, and Islander women.  What are the attraction of these women I mentioned.  You mentioned that it could be these sisters are much more easier to handle.  Okay.  I am Akata according to these lovely Nairaland men and called my husband a dummy because I am too "difficult"or "bitchy".  If that how they react to my persona, I can imagine what they are reacting to African sisters who wouldn't settle for less.  I am pretty sure it no different how they are reacting to my persona.

Now I do see two sides to the paradigm concerning African women because one half of the men saying African women know their place and submits accordingly and the other half are calling African women bitches, hoes, gold diggers, single, lonely, and can't keep a man.  If I can recall that what brothers in America are saying about the sisters as well.

As you can see my argument is THERE ARE NO DIFFERENCE between African, Jamo, Akata, and Islander sisters.  All of our ancestry came from Mother Africa. The underlining question with all this being said does Nigerian men find attraction in Jamo, Akata, and Islander sisters because of similarity to African sisters?

The words exhibitive and aggressive might not be too appropriate in describing the acts , lets rather employ words like expressive and Pro active..
Okay. Now that we employed different words, what are your thoughts on my question I asked you? Do you think African society expressed vast emphasis on African women to be less expressive and proactive?

@ poster
The attraction men generally have for Ladies like these are borne out of the fact that they are more open, responsive and expressive about their attraction and se-xuality for guys than some other ladies from some other parts of the world.
Imagine a Nigerian lady that has been brought up with the mentality of never making a move on a guy she passionately feels for, all she does is hope he comes one day, and if he doesn't, she assumes he doesn't feel the same way which might not be true.
IMO and from previous interraction from ladies of these sect. They surely have a way of identifying what they want and subsequently giving a go at it.

Regards
Do you think the African society of various regions place emphasis on African sisters to be less exhibitive and less aggressive in expression of sexuality?
Romance › Re: Does Bromancing Equal Homosexuality by MrsChima(f): 6:51pm On Jan 15, 2011
Well, if they are friends and there are only one bed.  I do not see nothing wrong with that.  My sisters and friends have shared the same bed and American society place less emphasis on women sharing beds and showers together than men.

They are rough on the men and everything a man do it always a debacle.  It sad though.

man western life has made africa bad in ways that now everything IS GAY, there was a time in africa where u two men who are just friends will hold hands , dance together and even shower together and there would be NOTHING GAY ABOUT IT, we dont have that in our mind like americans do, everything is gay!, and i have even fallen victim to that, now i go to african parties and see a group of men dancing together and i',m like oooh thats GAY, jeez
Now Aminalib! Come on now girl! I don't mind to see two men dancing together as friends not sexual or anything like that but SHOWERING TOGETHER GIRL? shocked shocked Now if you are talking about showering in a public shower facility where everything in the open okay I gotcha on that one. But if you are talking about showering in the BATHROOM SHOWER that fit two maybe three people now that GAY.

You know what Iice I was going to say that and I didn't want to turn this thread into a crying session because rape is real to some people on this thread still.

Yes, she was raped by a cousin and she forgave him 25 years later. That is a long time to hold such anger for a past deed. I guess people do not understand how rape has an affect on women specially and SOME women often use sex as a way to heal when all they need is a good shoulder to cry on and someone to be there for them emotionally and physically without sex.

i believe people like things that they are not used too or have not tried, basically, there are men who im assuming would run after these women because some may feel they are not as stuck up as african woman, or they are independent and wont ask for their money, or they feel they would be able to get over on them easier than an african women( these are just what i have been told by some african men), at the end of the day its all about the person and how you connect with them.
I hear you.  I would never think African sisters are stuck up.  I think African sisters is tired of the bullshit just like AA/Jamo sisters.

I have seen some stuck up chicks in other races that will make strong African sisters look like a teddy bear.  Girl, tell them African brothers to talk to the Black American brothers about Black American women.  From their platform, black women are too independent, gold diggers, and castraters.

Yes its possible to b friends wit a guy n not b involved romantically n I for one view it as a sign of a mature mind but your gushing on about dis guy was too emotional IMHO n too liable to get out of hand.
Now u've said u don't like dat so I suppose it's all gud however to tell hubby u'll have to b real tactful eg u guys are chatting generally steer the conversation towards intelligence den u tell hubby u know dis guy who exhibits skillz n den just flow.
Hubby is sure to b curious n ask u bout him so u just tell him wat he's like n hubby will tink no more of. This way d next time his name crops up hubby will not even bait n eye cos he's in d know.
Lawd! First time I agree with a man! I think I need deliverance! I am just kidding! I hear you and I will take that to heart. Yes, I am not in like with the dude just like him as friend and you know when you are married your friends become your spouse friends. My husband expressed repeatedly and sporadically that married couples should remain friends with decent married couples and engaged couples. In a way I do agree with them because single people will do what single people do and married people can't do what single people do.

Thank you sir for the sound advice. wink (back off Jaybee)

I was disgusted!
Are you serious?!!! shocked shocked shocked I have seen beautiful African sisters and I can't imagine the University not having them. As I stated in the original post these sisters are no different then African sisters. You know there weren't any black people when Christopher Columbus "supposedly" discovered America and the islands.

Yes!  Did I tell you that they are in love with Beyonce, Ciara, Rhianna, and Macy Gray on my side of town?  I was at a function where men and women mingle to get to know each other.  It was a single mixer and an African brother were preaching about how black American women need to return back to the root and be the women that they should be.

An AA brother jumped up and said what you want your women to be dumb and dependable to you?  Girl!  What he said that for!  The argument turned into a "Return back to Mother Africa" fiasco. The guy was like black women do not need to parade themselves like westernized white women with fake blue eye contacts and stringy weave.

The African brother has a lot of excellent points but he was standing firmly on the 1920 platform.

you are so annoying Mrs Chima. go satisfy your miserable husband instead of spending fruitlessly all your boring evenings online looking for victims to mock and hoping they would become as unhappy and bitter as u are.

just to let you know, Mrs Bighead, i know u are from nigeria and live in USA but these are not the only two countries in the world and not all the people are in the USA and not all of them need 'a green card'. thats not how you call it in UK. I just said at the beginning it is not 'a visa issue' not calling it a residence permit or permanent residence (i did later on though but you havent read thoroughly) or whatever just in case someone wasnt familiar with the visa system in UK. It wasnt important then where we live or what the name of the papers he has is so i just called it 'a visa' cause thats how generally you call it here. What was important then was that its not for the papers why he wants me.
but you from the start assumed that everyone must be less intelligent that you are which is not true my dear and only made you look funny.
im glad you know better than him that he is yoruba

and anyway, you said yesterday you were out of here so go to hell. why did you come back? couldnt find anything more interesting? you can create your own thread 'i like insulting people to make me hopelessness easier to cope with'
I need a cold glass of water because I just ate a very tasty salty snack cracker.   Too bad you can't spend your quality time with your cheating ex boyfriend.  He is enjoying his new prize.

Why are you attracted to Jamo, Akata, and Islander sisters?

What does Jamo, Akata, and Islander sisters have that appease your attraction?

Do you see them no different than your fellow African sisters? I would say No. Jamo, Akata, and Islander sisters ancestry started in Africa.

no. . . . . . . unfortunately its tru  sad sad sad sad

@fstranger se mo wa paro ni? you know its true!

heeey see how we've turned this poor ladies thread into a tribal war! lol
I guess it is much easier for Yoruba men to "experiment" on women who are easily whipped and lonely than a confident woman who know her worth.

I believe you asked her or I could be mistaken if the dude have his papers and she said yes.  The original post said he has a visa.  She stated that she know the difference.   Then you asked her if the dude was Yoruba and she said no.  I am like if she couldn't tell the difference between a visa and a green card how would she tell if the guy isn't Yoruba?

You are Yoruba and I think you would know a Yoruba man better than she and I.  The guy is Yoruba.     Most Yoruba guys will prefer their own than "outsiders".  The fact that the guy said he would like a Nigerian sister.  You finish the conclusion.

I thought yall were just kidding when yall said they were dangerous and whorish.  Let me add this before bullets start flying.  I know ALL MEN can be cheaters and dangerous.  I am talking about specifically what a gang of people saying about Yoruba men.   I have seen a few Yoruba men (non gay) were able to sweet talked themselves out of the obvious!  I was like damn they are skilled!

I never assumed that were the norm for Yoruba men.  I guess I wasn't in the right crowd.

They are skilled in sweet talking and getting themselves out of poo.
