Hi dear, my family friend is exactly in your shoes right now, so saw your post now and told her, she wants to send email to them too pls whats the email addy u used in mailing them? Pls its urgent @inexplicable

Inexplicable:
Hello everyone,

I did my biometrics and interview at Ikeja VAC on 23rd August 2016 and my application was submitted that same day. I received a mail on 26th August that the application has been transferred to the UKVI. On 31st August, I received another mail that the application has been received at Sheffield. My 15-day period lapsed on 12th September. When I didn't get any decision mail from them, I contacted the UKVI International enquiry dept. They sent me a mail wherein they maintained that the application has been processed and that a decision has been made. I am yet to receive my decision mail even at the time of writing this.

Is there any one in this category, pls?

Is it possible that UKVI may have transferred my documents and visa back to TLS without giving consideration to sending a decision mail in the circumstance?

Or its day you submit at VAC?

Uzi1900:

Chuksbenin dear thats exactly my point, one way ticket shouldnt raise any issues at all with immigration officers at POE, they actually do the question thing to everyone thou they so wish as long as they gonna stamp ur passport u cant escape one or few questions from them. One way ticket with emirates is way cheaper with 245k oh than return ticket for a year duration cc my attachments. Thou its my favorite international flight thou, it cud be cheaper wt other airlines, And i guess costs of flight shouldnt be an issue cos we all know exchange rates wud def affect it anyway! Wishing everyone the very best!and successes we all wish for.

chuksbenin:
Firstly, you can book a one way ticket if ur duration is more than one year. The immigration officers won't bounce you because of this. As for raising eye brows, it's routine for immigration officers to single out some people and scrutinise them on their own volition. You can't question that but don't be scared as long as you have all your documents handy, especially your bank documents and the visa approval letter. Don't forget to wear your confidence shirt as this will work on ur first impression. Alles gute! And please note that some return tickets expire after 12 months if unused or unchanged.

fizzile:

Travel / Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 3 by MrsDaniels(f): 7:30pm On Sep 11, 2016
Thats absolutely not possible, the UK gets lots more from international students so they cant bring up such laws. So maybe guess i heard that was meant for college students or so, abeg not sure bou that. Na them sabi anything wey dem like make dem do.

soulhighman:

I don't think the one way will pose problem. My ticket should be one wayand I still had no problems.
Cc: Carissaa.
But ma'am, about this stay back thing. I think they have stopped international students from applying to work after graduation and must return immediately. Abi I'm the one with wrong information?
Travel / Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 3 by MrsDaniels(f): 7:26pm On Sep 11, 2016
Of cos one would def be working. Well i feel one way ticket raising of eyebrow cud be a prob for first timers going to the Uk abi Justwise. And not for subsequent travellers. And i think one gotta pay some more money for extension of flights to a more suitable date . Anyway never extended flights before. And justwise what if ones Masters program is 21months thats approximately 2yrs plus d extra 4mnths Added to the visa, i.e extended Msc program and not the normal 1yr program would u still advice u do return ticket?@soulhighman are u in the uk already? And justwise happy sunday to you. @fizzile howfar ve u gotten ur visa? Wishing myself and everyone here the very best in our visa applications.

justwise:

Cost as well as immigration. Buying one way ticket is not a good idea especially for Msc students, undergraduate and PhD students may not have problem with that because their programme is longer.

For Msc students buying one way ticket will be costly at the end and it also exposes your immigration motive.

Return ticket is cheaper and extendable.

Staying back after graduation without a graduate job is really bad idea even if you have families in the UK who will accommodate and feed you.

Travel / Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 3 by MrsDaniels(f): 4:18pm On Sep 11, 2016
Justwise do u mean to say its a problem for to book one way ticket literally or u looking at the cost of it? Cos one can decide to stay back after graduation to work and all. Considering if one have family members there.

justwise:

I don't think it will. They do stop and ask question at random sometimes or when you look nervous. Ask about your course, plans after graduation etc..basically things you should now.

This is the right way.

Whatamidoinghere:

Do the screen shot on how you placed the currencies and let's see how you got the 420.

Travel / Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 3 by MrsDaniels(f): 5:45pm On Aug 28, 2016
Thats what u ll get if u put pounds to left and den naira to right dearie... Means u wanna sell pounds to buy naira, and dts wrong. Cos its naira u have. Thats a sample.

Whatamidoinghere:

Hmm

Travel / Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 3 by MrsDaniels(f): 5:27pm On Aug 28, 2016

Travel / Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 3 by MrsDaniels(f): 9:09pm On Aug 26, 2016
@chuksbenin read this. Lets say i print my bank statement today with rate 420 and i apply on monday and by then the oanda rate is reading 450 to a naira. Would u say i shud top up money that same friday so i can meet up wt d little change effected upon my bank statement? The visa officer wont be crazy enuf to wanna deny cos its not within our power to control the fx market. Thats also my own point am tryna pass to u based on advice @justwise gave lastweek.

Travel / Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 3 by MrsDaniels(f): 8:28pm On Aug 26, 2016
@chuksbenin am very aware dt hers is just bou her childs tuition, its nt abt anyone been in Uk presently, if dey would raise eyebrow dey would. The VO cant deny such cos obviously she aint in control of the fx market and its fluctuations so far u had the complete money in the acc from the start. Am very aware that applications r based on rate of dt same day. Cc @justwise.

chuksbenin:
Please Madam nobody is on ur case o. I never called u a dummy either. Just trying to help out so u don't get into trouble. We are together. I was trying to tell you that even though there were lapses in Mrsf's tuition fee cos of exchange rate, the UKVI might just give the kid the visa because they've seen the carer's account and knows there is someone in the UK that can be held responsible for the child's welfare and probably the carer has more than enough in his or her account. This enough can make them give the child entry permit to the United Kingdom. All the best in ur application

My dear i have never checked in myself online bfr, it has always been at the airport dear.

soulhighman:
To the regular travellers on this thread. Mrsdaniels, mrsf, umarwy and co. Pls help out with this question. Its my first time of flying tho. My school where I got the scholarship already booked my ticket and I was told I could either check in online or at the airport.
I decided to check in online (Emirates), so I've selected my seats already. I saw it on my e ticket that I will use my ticket number at the self check in point at the airport. I want to ask if there are self check in points at the Lagos airport, or It would be best to just cancel my seat online and check in at the airport. I did the online check in so it can be easier when I get there but as it is now, I don't know if that will work.
Thanks
