Be aware that MrsF 's child is a minor and as such has a carer in the UK who should have the maintenance fund in his or her account. She's just talking about the tuition fee so her case is quite different from yours.

@elope howfar u don submit ur application? My own counting dey end sunday. If i see the rate is high on tuesday the rate is high omo me go input the rate of the day i deposited my money in my acc. I cannot come and die according to justwise he said visa officer cant penalise one cos of rate fluctuations.

Chuksbenin pls am very very aware of this fact even before u began contributing on here. My question isnt related to the response u giving.

Read what is in the UKVI guidelines. The exchange rate of the day of application. Go to Oanda. Put the date of ur application and see the exchange rate. The day of application is the day u pay the fees associated with your application i.e visa fee.

@justwise is it proper that if one deposited one's money in bank july 1st, and due to rate been higher than the initial rate used to multiply the money, and the next day the rate reduces can one say u started counting from july 2nd.

30th of june to 30th of july it was just tuition his visa category doesnt require his sponsor to provide maintenance fees. I printed out the oanda page on the date i started counting that was 30th of june and wrote on it "rate as at the day initial deposit was made"

MrsF when did u start counting ur childs 28days bfr applying. And was it both fees n maintenance money u calculated wt 400naira

If ur sch wants to raise eyebrow tell them you wish to pay some amount for accomodation so it would reduce ur balance left and u can get ur Cas updated and issued to u after that.

Yesterday wasn't a funny day for me at all. If my blood pressure was checked it will be as high as the heavens. Anyway, I got some respite after Naira took a upward path this morning.

I got my CAS today, my maintenance money was calculated based on N430 to a pound. And I also plan to pay for the NHS surcharge, priority visa fee from that same balance.

My question goes to the forecasters in the house, please do you think naira could be at 429 tomorrow?

When the money was lodged it never crossed my mind it will go beyond 405.
Please is it the final balance that will be used or other balances in the statement?
Will they check my account to see if the money is intact?

When i typed in 1pound to the right it came out to be 431 to a naira. @olowoB, @justwise and all pls confirm the attachments for us and tell which is most authentic.

The first attachment my dear i got when i put pound on left and naira to right as currency i want to buy. Whch is wrong i guess cos its naira we all have not pounds and we want to buy pounds. So i guess it shud be 1naira to get equivalent to 1pound.

The first attachment is the right one to be used. As you can see, it implies that 1pound is equal to 431naira for today and not the second attachment. That then means that the home office actually use the first attachment. Therefore anyone who has a balance to payup or his or her maintenance fee should input the figure in pounds on the right and will then see the outcome in naira on the left.

That wouldn't work because to be able to rent outside the uni you need to sign tenancy agreement and your passport and student ID will be needed

Fizzile, look at it this way, the buying and selling of GBP is not the same. it always costs more to buy than to sell at least by 1 naira. if you go to those northerners and you wanna buy from them they will charge u maybe 450 naira but if you wanna sell they will buy from u at maybe 448
