Dublin isnt part of UK......its in Republic of Ireland.

oluswagger:

If the airlines does not ask/indicate that you provide or obtain one, then it is not necessary. I traveled through Dublin (not sure part of UK) without one. If in doubt, write to the embassy

@Carlz1 so sorry dear you didnt get no medical call? We submitted same day paper route. Got a message my processed passport has been returned back to the VAC and i wasnt called too guess its cos i submitted my application 2days after my arrival from England into Nigeria. Cos i saw on CIC website where they stated if one didnt stay/live in Nigeria for 6months and above then they dont require medicals. Just submitted police certificate issued in England alongside my residence documents.
Abi Frank? @Frankroben1 am i quoting CIC's medical facts wrongly from their website? .... would be going to pick up my passport today and let y'all know.

Carlz1:
Application refused
Paper route
Applied 27th July
Eligibility began 18th August
Refusal letter 29th August
Processed in Nairobi
I actually wonder if they go through documents provided. I’m really surprised.

I’m to resume in January so I plan on reapplying for the last time and I want to do it all by myself and I want to use the online route this time. Please I need all the support I can get. Thanks
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by MrsDaniels(f): 3:24pm On Aug 30, 2018
@Sisikemo please ma"am did it come alongside your Letter of Intro from CIC? And was it paper route you did?

sisikemo:
Hello house, thanks to everyone for their enormous contributions. I just picked up my stamped passport from VFS today. To all the TRV hopefuls it will definitely end in praise.

@Dera12345 dear dont compare your application with another's.....Gods Grace upon your life can greatly differ from another persons grace. You can go ahead and apply with a solid application and write a very convincing SOP to the VO to proof your true intensions as per been a genuine student. At the end of it all God alone has the final say over a person's fate in life and successes if he really approves it to be your time and not a canadian VO. Keep up your faith and Pray to God. God bless you dear.

Thanks my dear, I really appreciate.
God bless you too...

Yes i did referenced we both have association when we submitted. How can i link it my own account pls. Pls kindly tell me the steps. Thanks.

StudentsNG:

Hi MrsDaniel, its basically the same method you used in linking yours. Create a new account for him and logon to search his record and link it. You can also link it to your own account if you referenced that both have association during application.

jnyuwa02:

Ma’am that is what the requirement says. But wait on CIC, they may not call you for medicals. One person relates his experience here that he has never seen CIC actually call people from GB for medicals even though that is the requirement. There is some ring of truth to it. I say just wait. They will let you know.

Wow......i did submitted my applcatn and my hubbys yesterday morning already and done biometrics too we only attached our police certificate issued in the UK. Note:- Am in Nigeria for only 2-3months so you think i still need medicals?

jnyuwa02:

Good poignant question. Ordinarily, no you don’t have to take medicals because you haven’t lived or travelled in Nigeria for more than six months. But the second part of the adjoining clause for those who need medical says if you are going to Canada for more than 6 months, you have to take medicals. So my guess is you are a student who is planning to go to Canada for more than six months? If so, even though you have lived in Great Britain where medicals is not required and currently live in Nigeria where Medical is required of you only if you have lived here for more than six months, the brute fact of wanting to study in Canada for more than six months, compels the conclusion that you will need to take medicals. That is the verdict! If you plan to come to Canada for less than six months on the other hand, in your particular circumstance, you DO NOT need medicals.
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by MrsDaniels(f): 8:58pm On Jul 27, 2018
@jnyuwa02 pls am curious i am resident in the Uk but came to Nigeria 2days ago....do l need to do medicals here in Nigeria as i saw on CIC website if u not resident in Nigeria for 6months and above u are excluded from doing medicals. Pls kindly revert. Thanks.

jnyuwa02:

If you don’t have citizenship, student or resident status in the UK, you have to come back to Nigeria and apply. As one sacrificial lamb proved last year, if you apply without these, you would be rejected based on status in country of application.

Thanks darling....so its just open work permit my hubby is to pay for Which is 100CAD right?
Ratawu:

Apart from Study permit form made outside Canada you filled as a principal applicant and the family information form, your spouse will fill application for work permit as well as family information form. For children above 5 years, you fill study permit form for them while less than 5 year chikdren will take visit visa form.

So thick study permit for yourself and children over 5 years and open work permit for your hubby and visit visa for children under 5

For biometrics, u pay $170 for family

@frankrobbn1 thanks love....one more thing what should be in his LOE if its necessary for him to include it in his documents.

Frankrobbn1:

MrsDaniels

Hello Ma,
This question of yours has already been answered before regarding the documents you and your hubby(spouse) needs to submit. CHECK THIS
Also, you can quickly chat up with the VFS officals to inquire if the common law form is mandatory to be filled.
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by MrsDaniels(f): 8:17pm On Jun 14, 2018
Please guys @frankrobbn1 and all any idea of what should be in my hubbys letter of explanation for my hubby. And is the common law form necessary to be filled? As i legally married in court and also at church. And lastly what documents should he submit as am the main applicant.
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by MrsDaniels(f): 11:14pm On Jun 07, 2018
Am still sorta confused dear, so as for me married traditionally, church and legally do i need to still fill the form and notarise it? And again please what documents is my hubby to submit? And again please does he need to write a LOE too if yes suggest how he should write it please dear.
Frankrobbn1:

Hello Madam,

Glad to hear you find the previous piece useful.
In my understanding you need to fill up the statutory declaration of common law union only if your common law partner is your co signer. Meaning, you've to fill the form while your hubby is the co-signer.

Yes! It was clearly stated on the form, that you will either need a notary public, commissioner of oaths or commissioner of taking affidavit. In this case, you will need one to administer the declaration.

To mention a few, OTHER DOCUMENTS CAN BE:
Your Acceptance letter
Spouse's passport bio data page
Spouse's passport visa stamped pages
Your passport bio data page
Marriage certificate
Your birth certificate
Your educational certificate
You and your spouse bank statements
Property evaluation (if any)
Wedding photos
Your employment verification letter if you working.
Your pay stubs
Promotion letters(if any)
Your travel history (Stamped visa pages).

Below are some of the clues found on a traditional Canada study permit SOP: Each paragraph must have a central idea and a different point.

Paragraph 1-) Academic and career profile should be discussed briefly.
Paragraph 2-) Why you choose the program of choice.
Paragraph 3-) The school of choice.
Paragraph 4-) Why you choose Canada and not Nigeria considering the high cost and difficulty of undertaking a foreign education.
Paragraph 5-) Financial provisions.
Paragraph 6-) Family ties in country of residence, what can compel your return home after studies.
Paragraph 7-) Career goals: What you intend to achieve at the end of the program in Canada, how it will enhance your career prospects back home and how it will be of paramount benefit to you in the future and to your home country.

Accompanying dependant doesn't need to tender an SOP as he is not the principal applicant.

Lastly, kindly extend your queries to the SOWP thread using the link below, as that's the ideal place to get answers to your questions not here. Presently, this forum is strictly for matters relating to Canada study visa.

SPOUSAL OPEN WORK PERMIT THREAD

Yes love we are exempted from doing the medicals. But seems we to submit police cert.
HiSignature:
If you are resident in UK, you do not need to do medicals except you have not live there for more than 6 months.
Look through the exception list for medicals online, residents of some countries are exempted.

Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by MrsDaniels(f): 8:50pm On Jun 06, 2018
@frankrobbn Thanks alot dear you made it easier, i saw statutory Declaration of common law union form in both mine and that of my hubbys SOwp page too do i need to fill it? And there is a place it mentioned it to be signed by a notary person do i need to do all of that?
I dont need to do medical test as have been here for more than a year. Please what documents would you suggest i submit and also for SOP can you give a clue?? And lastly would my hubby need to write SOP too as he is my dependant and not primary applicant. Thanks alot darl. Will be expecting your response.

Frankrobbn1:

Hello Madam,

Oh! Sorry to hear you went all this stress but to no avail. Kindly follow the below guidelines/steps stated by me and I am sure you will get it right this time.

1-) Apply online and acquire the correct forms using this link:

HOW TO APPLY FOR SPOUSAL OPEN WORK PERMIT FROM UNITED KINGDOM

2-) Complete the PDF Application Form IMM1295E

SPOUSAL WORK PERMIT FORM MADE OUTSIDE CANADA

3-) Save it to your desktop, and upload it to your application (the electronic signature is not needed).

No job offer is necessary when applying for a spousal work permit. You can indicate "not applicable" in fields requesting this information.
No Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) is necessary for the above work permits; you can leave this section blank.

4-) Upload required documents
Upload your saved IMM1295E form to your application

5-) When asked to upload your passport, be sure to include ALL stamped/marked pages of your passport. These should all be scanned into 1 document.

6-) If you were required to do a medical exam as part of your work permit application, upload proof of this (i.e. a receipt and E-medical slip) in the additional documents section. If not, there is no need for medicals.

7-) Last but not the least, Pay the required fees:
Spousal work permit = $155 + $100 = $255.

Please don't hesitate to let me know if this information is not sufficient or not related to what you seek.

All the best!
