Chelsea, Maguire for £60m take it or leave it.

I've always liked the look of Lyon's Paqueta. He can play anywhere in midfield. Excellent ball carrier too. He's been linked with moves this summer.

I'm trying to be positive about the signing of Casemiro so I'll just activate a certain mode.

I didnt know that's what I was feeling against Brighton.

When we had an attacking situation and we almost outnumbered the brighton defence with McTom on the ball. the sequence ended with mcTom getting a yellow card without us creating a chance at goal. I had to hold my stomach. . Its why I couldnt watch the Brentford match, Just the lowlights.

ETH didn't say DDG has to play short passes from behind. He said they can also go long when the chance for a pass is not available. So he doesn't understand why DDG made that mistake.

I never said anything about paying that for FDJ. But he is a better fit profile and age wise for what ETH requested and the system he's trying to implement. If we had proper scouts we should be looking at a player profile like FDJ probably from France and a younger version of Casemiro that will cost much less than £150m combined because we need 2 of those not one or the other.

He's playing the 8 which he has said numerous times is not his favoured position. And is probably why he doesnt start for Barca anymore.

The point is that FDJ prefers to be a DLP not a DM which is what ETH wanted him for. Casemiro is a complete switch from that because its accepted that we probably wont get FDJ anymore.

A club as big as Man United don't have a 7/10 CM and a DM specialist.

Every single signing is a gamble, you just have to make sure the player(s) tick some boxes.

We definitely need some experienced players but we need to be careful trying to take a shortcut. He's a great player but that money and wages will cause other issues considering the money isnt really there like that anymore.

A 30 year old DM is still young and can play at the top for another 5 years.

Just like Patrick wrote up there, if he gives us 80% of what he is capable of then we're fine.

Its like you dont consider the environment these guys are in. Modric is able to still be great because he's in a great situation at Madrid. There's a reason they would be happy to sell Casemiro. We simply dont have a platform for even great players to thrive yet. And bringing in expensive 30+ high mileage and high wages players is not going to fix the team.

The way we profile players makes no sense and is why the squad is in this horrible shape.
