This Grealish almost never plays centrally, always LWF.

I am quite suspicious of the guy. He is not quick enough to play on the wings for a top club and we have not really seen him play that 10 position in the EPL.
I'm also not sold on Grealish. I'm not convinced he's what we need.

These clubs are the best in transfers

1. Juventus
2. Athletico Madrid
3. Bayern Munich
4. Borussia Dortmund
Why would you say Juve are better than Bayern at Transfers? I'm looking at Juve transfers in the last 2 years for example and its nothing special.

Well Chelsea paid 58m for his houseboy Pulisic.

Barca paid over 100m for Dembele who had just over 50% of Sancho’s goal contribution.

50m without COVID is a joke.
Agreed.

You got jokes.

80m for an overweight DEFENDER who has probably peaked. But you want to pay 50m for a prolific FORWARD who has true world beater potential?

Corona might bring the fee down but you saying you would have paid 50m without Corona is hilarious.
I get what you're saying but because we overpaid for Wan Bissaka and Maguire, which we did, doesnt mean we should keep overpaying for other players.

He's still better than the other options in that role
Mainly because Fred is not naturally a DM. His best position is what he has played most of the season as a box to box. I think him playing as a DM exclusively wont bring the best out of him. Same with McTominay.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by MRTA7: 7:56pm On Jun 28, 2020
Tired of Chelsea. They'll probably beat us this time. Because we can't keep flogging them all season. If we beat them for a fourth time this season they have to protest Blue lives matter because this would be too much.

Of course a trophy win is always great but we are talking about priorities. Which of these scenarios would you prefer?

1) Win FA Cup, Lose Europa League, 5th/6th in Premier League.

2) Win Europa League, Lose FA Cup, 5th/6th in Premier League.

3) Lose FA Cup, Lose Europa League, 4th in Premier League.
We dont even need to go back and forth on the priorities. Whichever one lands us in the CL will be the number 1 priority. If we can do it while adding a 2nd rate European trophy then that's also cool. its still a trophy. I personally think 4th spot is beyond us at this point but obviously not impossible. I'm operating on the assumption that we'll finish 5th and that 5th spot is a CL spot because I think City's ban will be upheld but reduced to 1 season ban. Having said all that, There's one thing to be said for momentum, another to be said for winning the FA Cup again as mentioned previously. I dont want the team to have the mindset that they can go into matches and if they dont win it its ok. If Ole takes it seriously with a relatively strong selection I would prefer that.

The FA Cup at this point is nothing but a distraction.

The Europa League and the Premier League are the 2 keys to our return to the Champions League.
I mostly agree with you but a trophy win can do alot for a particular group of players and especially Ole. I think A trophy win with United would improve his and the team's self belief. I think Ole needs the FA Cup more than united though.

I dont think we have much better than this lineup overall. Maybe Bailly for Lindelof depends. This team will let us know if we as fans always over rate these players or not.

The Ghanaian is more versatile than the Nigerian.
I like Partey but I think I prefer Ndidi in our midfield. My biggest issue is Ndidi would cost an arm and a leg. While Partey is apparently under 50m euros.
If they were the same price I would take Ndidi but at the real prices, Partey by far.

Our remaining fixtures compared to Chelsea’s. No excuses...

UNITED:

Sheff Utd (H)
Brighton (A)
Bournemouth (H)
Villa (A)
Saints (H)
Palace (A)
West Ham (H)
Leicester (A)

CHELSEA:

City (H)
West Ham (A)
Watford (H)
Palace (A)
Sheff Utd (A)
Norwich (H)
Pool (A)
Wolves (H)
I bet if we look at our results against those teams in our fixture list in the first half of the season, we probably dropped more point against them than against the bigger teams. Which has been our complete undoing this season. So we'll probably make it harder than we should.

Playing for a top team (Man Utd) or a team that just got promoted (Sheffield).... Which is easierhuh?
It is different. The pressures are different. The expectation is different. That alone changes the dynamic of playing for a big club where the expectation is sky high.

The goal was mainly Maguire’s fault for clearing the way for Bergwijn like that BUT DDG has to take some share of the blame to.

It was from 15-16 yards and straight at him. With better goalkeeping he should have punched that clear.

At this rate i think it would be prudent to recall Henderson for next season and potentially offload DDG.

The lack of full fitness on both sides was obvious so it is difficult to draw conclusions from this game, apart from those problems which have become a trend.
The more I see the replay the worse it looks for Maguire and DDG. That shot was hit hard but it was straight at DDG and Maguire was just what we expected. Very slow turning.

I do like Henderson but lets remember that playing for united is very different to playing for Sheffield.

Food security is not a problem in the West and I don't see why it needs Govt financial intervention rather than education on healthy eating.

It makes assumption that the kids parents can't afford healthy food, meanwhile people who are not informed and eat poorly will still use the money to buy crisps and chocolate. Some poor people eat very healthy and some rich people eat very unhealthy. For £2, one can buy a months supply of vitamins that will cover all daily recommended vitamin intake for a month for example. Anybody that says they are going hungry, their parents must be gamblers or drug addicts and should be in care system.
That's a different conversation that should be in a separate thread and I don't really have the time or energy for. My point is that Rashford was raised in that environment of food insecurity where he had to go to bed hungry or dependent on friends for certain meals. So this campaign was born of his experience.

I've just realised I'm pretty sure we have never had so many black players in the united squad. Just looking at the main first team you have

Rashford
Martial
Greenwood
Ighalo
Fred
Pogba
Wan Bissaka
Tuanzebe
Bailly

And that's not including TFM and Gomes. I wonder if there's any team in the league with that many black players.
Not that it matters but its just interesting.

I really don't understand this obsession with Bailly. I always see people removing Lindelof and replacing him with Bailly in suggested lineups. Why? The same Bailly that cannot keep fit? Bailly was good in his first season but since then, he has always been injured and most of these injuries are caused by his overly physical and crazy playing style. Lindelof has been very good at CB this season. He has improved a lot and he is going to improve more. He has not been dribbled past this season and he has not made any errors leading to goal. If we are going to replace Lindelof, then he should be replaced with someone better and i don't think Bailly is better. Bailly is just another Phil Jones without the funny faces
I wont go as far as you last line but I mostly agree.

Ole's default format in big games is 3-5-2 or in-game 3-4-1-2. I see Ole going for his most experienced team for a fresh start, Matic missing out slightly.

***************** de Gea ******************
**** Bailly ***** Maguire ***** Lindelof ****
WB *** Fred *** Bruno *** Pogba *** Shaw
********** Martial ***** Rashford **********
I agree with the formation as its a big game away from home. I cant say for sure about the personnel. I have a feeling that Matic will start.

There's concrete interest from Man Utd to sign Kai Havertz.. Sancho is spot on.. Negotiations on going.
What makes the interest concrete?

The only way I see any interest in him is if we know Pogba is leaving. He would not be the right player to buy for the right wing.
