Barack Obama, a former United States president has paid moving tribute to slain rapper and activist Nipsey Hussle, who was gunned down last month.

At a celebration of the late rapper’s life at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on April 12, 2019 a close friend, Karen Civil, read out a letter written by the former president in which he wrote of his admiration for Hussle’s community work and philanthropy.

Part of Obama’s tribute read:

‘While most folks look at the Crenshaw neighborhood where he grew up and see only gangs, bullets and dispair, Nipsey saw potential,’ Obama wrote. ‘He saw hope. He saw a community that even through its flaws, taught him how to keep going. He set an example for young people to follow and is a legacy worthy to follow,’

A rare birth as been witnessed by the Egyptian Governorate of Aswan, when a woman delivered a baby with two heads, one heart, two spines and one intestine.

According to Al Watan newspaper, a woman delivered a baby with two heads in the Egyptian Governorate of Aswan.

Ehab Hanafi, a representative from the Ministry of Health in Aswan said the 25-year-old mother gave birth to the boy with two heads and one heart in a private clinic.

The newborn was transferred to a hospital to follow-up on his health condition.

This is an extremely rare case because the baby was born with two spines, one heart and an intestine, Hanafi stated.

The baby is stable and will be transferred after a couple of days to the National Research Center in Cairo to monitor his condition, an official confirmed.

Report says that the couple has another healthy one-year-old child.

Indian Govt Extends Scholarship For Nigerian Lady Who Broke 100-year University Record (Photo)

After brilliant Nigerian lady, Emelife Stella Chinelo, emerged the best graduating student in the University Of Mysore, India in MSc Chemistry has seen the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), an autonomous organisation of the Government of India, extending her scholarship for her exceptionally strives.

The organization announced on its official page on Friday: “ICCR takes pride in having extended scholarship to Ms. Emelife Stella Chinelo from Nigeria who recd a record 20 Gold Medals & 5 cash awards at the 99th Convo of @MysoreVarsity for her outstanding performance in M. Sc. We wish her the best.”

Ms Emelifo,28, graduated from the Department of Chemistry and bagged 20 gold medals and five cash prizes, at the 99th Convocation of University of Mysore (UoM)

She received the Maximum Gold medals available in the institution. Nobody in the history of that university have ever won 20 gold medals.

The young student, which is an Anambra indigene hopes to pursue research in Cancer to find treatment for its cure as many people in her country were affected by this dreaded disease. She said that she also had plans to turn mounds of industrial waste into useful materials by pursuing research in this field.

She revealed to reporters that it was the result of hardwork and perseverance.

“I devoted most of my time towards studies. I was either in the classroom or library. The reason why I chose India, especially the UoM, for higher studies is because of its scope for academic excellence,” she said.

Also, she is so good at Chemistry that she also topped Usmanu Danfodiyo University in Nigeria, where she studied BSc (applied chemistry).

ICCR is involved in India’s external cultural relations, through cultural exchange with other countries and their peoples. It was founded on 9, April 1950.

Two deadly cult groups clashes in a Cross River state community has claimed three lives.

According to Punch Meto, the clash which toke place between two rival cult groups, Bla ck Ax e and Klans, in Calabar South, Cross River State resulted in the death of three persons.

An eyewitness said the killing of one of the victims occurred at about 11:00 p.m. on Tuesday on Ambo Street, narrated to Punch Metro how it happened.

“We had just finished a church programme at about 11:00 p.m. and we were going home when some young men accosted a youth and began hitting him with a plank.

“After hitting him several times with the plank, they later used a machete to cut the victim who was screaming for help. The victim was said to have come to visit someone in the neighbourhood when he was waylaid.

“Everybody had to run from the scene as it appeared it was cultists that were attacking each other. After about an hour, the police from Mbukpa Police Station arrived the scene but did not meet the culprits who escaped immediately they finished killing their victim,” the source who pleaded anonymity said.

On Wednesday afternoon, it was gathered that a reprisal attack on a street near Ambo street also resulted in the death of another victim.

Also, earlier on Wednesday, our correspondent also gathered that, another victim was said to have been shot dead around Chamley Street also in Calabar South.

As of the time of filing this report, details about the attack on Chamley Street were sketchy. The incident was also attributed to rival cult clash.

The state Police Command Public Relations Officer, DSP Irene Ugbo, when contacted confirmed the incidents.

“Three persons were killed when two cult groups, Bl ack Ax e and Klan, clashed. Four suspects have been arrested in connection with the incidents and they are being interrogated.

“Our men have been deployed everywhere. There is no cause for alarm as the situation has been brought under control,” she said.

On Wednesday April 3, 2019, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, (EFCC) arrested five internet fraudsters in a sting operation.

The arrest was carried out by the EFCC Uyo zonal office, Akwa Ibom, Brainnews report.

The names of the suspects were released in a statement by the agency as; Uchendu Denis, Osinachi Sam David, Chikezie Bright, Francis Martins and Okafor Emmanuel. They were arrested at Nsini Odeyop Street, Shelter Afrik Estate, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, following intelligence report of their suspicious activities.

It was discovered that the suspects at the time of arrest, were lodging in a 3 bedroom flat, used one of the rooms for their cyber crime activities.

Items recovered from suspects were: one hundred and twenty three SIM cards, including a Turkish SIM card, six Laptops, thirteen expensive mobile phones, several books and diaries containing several phone numbers and over three hundred email addresses, amongst others.

They will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.

A Facebook User, Chibuzor Okwaraji has taken to the social media site to share how a 12 years old boy was uncover inside a moulded blocks on a foundation owned by a church, Brainnews report.

The incident happened in Ondo State as many residents in the community were engulfed with shock as the boy was found alive after he spend days inside the lone blocks.

A Nigerian dad, Ini Mbebeng has taken to Facebook to share the heartbreaking story of how he lost his son to potholes.

My son died due to the bad roads in Nigeria, the man revealed.
