At what age did you realise all this? That is the point....at some age, you were a sheeple.....

the only thing i realised was the cherry picking when I started having doubts and questioning my beliefs. The rest were with me from childhood. I always found it difficult accept what didn't seem reasonable.

Yes and more...I once watched on the TV one Sango devotee who was possessed and began talking in a thunderous voice. They stopped the show right there

I later heard that such are very prevalent, That when Sango is well appeased with the dancing he starts hailing lightning.

Sango is also sometimes referred to as Orisha of dance, Osun fell in love with him because of his dancing talents
so Sango and osun are actually supreme beings? Falling in love things. Lol

Lies....unless u were a unitarian christian or a very liberal christian.

do you know me in real life?

My church believed in the trinity but I found it confusing. I never did.

We were tithers but I always refused to tithe.

We were big church goers though I complied but I always detested the hypocrisy I found in it.

The only thing I missed was the choir singing. I'm still a chorister though grin
I still attend music concerts, I honour invitations to sing etc.

Though I read the bible a lot, I later realised I was also a victim of cherry picking. Moulding Yahweh after my own image cheesy

I am quite gentle and soft spoken. I still am. All what changed were internal...

there is a difference between belief and acceptance of theories and evidence. We go with the evidence and the most reasonable theories. Religions just make bold assertions without any evidence and make believe people it by propaganda, indoctrination, force, threats and fantastic promises.

Peace to All!!

All sane and rational person(s) should embrace logical reasoning, Atheists or Theists. So, logic should not be seen as the exclusive forte of
the Atheists.

These theories have been scientifically proven to be plausible, although, not without a few quirk. For example, claiming that evolution
was an unguided process spawned by 'random' chain of events is bereft of academic soundness and should be rejected by the 'scientific'
community.

One may not know the exact origin of matter/energy, but one thing is certain: matter/energy cannot be self-created nor could it be
said to have being eternal. An eternal matter/energy gives rise to a paradox; laws of thermodynamics tells us matter/energy cannot be
created nor can it be destroyed, but transformation is possible. So, how could matter/energy have always existed?

If experience is anything to go by, then, your conclusion wouldn't be far-fetched. By experience, we have never observed matter
come in and out of existence at will. So, it is safe to say something EXTERNAL may have influenced the very first occurrence of
primordial matter(remember Newton's laws).

By experience, we know that any system that exhibits predictability, repeat-ability(perpetually) and coherence cannot be ascribed to random/chance.

How do you know it was Osun?

this is a flawed question. According to macof, osun is not a sentient being but an abstract concept ascribed to sex, beauty etc so anytime you fuq you experience Osun wink

macof:

Thank you.
Let me explain further

As u might know Osun is the Orisha of Rivers, Beauty, Femininity, Healing, Sex and Love

I have seen rivers and seen the beauty of women.

I have been healed by Osun' river

And I have fallen in love and had sex

^^^^ this is a complete manifestation of Osun that I have experienced

wats more, I have seen A woman possessed by Osun- she kept dancing and crying and acting flirtishly(if that's a real word)

Osun is portrayed as a young woman who loves dancing and crys when happy as the laughs when angry.
was this what you meant when you said Sango can be induced to act?

"WHY IS THERE SOMETHING AT ALL, INSTEAD OF NOTHING?"
.
These all point to creation, but if you have another posssible means, ....please state

this is a flawed conclusion because by this logic, you can say that everything that exists must have been created...including God. This leads to an infinite regress.

Nobody knows why there is something instead of nothing, religions pretend to know but they actually don't. God has not and cannot be proven to exist and consequently atheist choose not to follow the easy answer and say GOD DID IT!

So I'm crazy... undecided

what I think he meant by manifesting was the usual magic trick done by the adherents of said deity. For example, Christians will say they've seen Yahweh manifesting when a miracle is done in church. Doesn't mean they actually saw him.

having high consciousness doesn't mean believing wat I believe

It means .....I am getting tired of stating the importance of consciousness and Ori so read... http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Consciousness

www.ifafoundation.org/the-ori/

We have been through this, <<< this is where ur low consciousness is visible.

Sentient beings have organic features and Orisha are not sentient, not skydaddies who party and sit on thrones.

They are forces of nature, the very core of universal existence.

Of course yes, Sango can be cajoled to Manifest

I have seen Osun manifest with my own eyes

thank you. That is all.

Ifa adherents don't necessarily worship anything. Ifa says Ori l'aba bo, a ba Orisha sile Orunmila here advices that we should first honor ourselves by feeding our consciousness and leave any God aside

As u have a low consciousness you can never understand.
Your case is like- A child who was born in the bush without knowledge of wat the valley is like, you enter the valley and live among valley dwellers but find it difficult to live without that bushly habits so when u see those living on the mountaintop u assume they are the same as the bush dwellers
this is exactly what Christians say when cornered. Mysteriousnessseessseess.

I ask again, do you guys worship any deity abstract or sentient? Giving examples of money or parents is simply escapist.

Do you, for example, invoke sango to strike down evil doers etc?

Firstly there is nothing like omnis among Orisas
Secondly, they are not supernatural beings
Thirdly, I dont see yoruba spirituality as Religion.

The supernatural and omni beings you want to see are what you either watched in movie or the oral tradition which are condensed and what I called false knowledge. How many time do you want me to explain Sango as Electrical charge or Yemoja as Icy comet? I purposely do that on a thread yet you all want to see a tall guy that breathe fire abi na half fish half human?.
I see you like fighting.

First, I wasn't referring specifically to the Yoruba traditional religion. I said ALL and then put being in bold.

Secondly, many ifa adherents will disagree with you considering that they worship whatever it is they consider orisa to be. It will be quite absurd to worship, say, gravity.

So what exactly do pagans like macof do?
