Here under is our pride. History was made last month and neatly recorded. South Africa today is among the superpowers who have managed to hit the target from 2Km away and have their names listed for record purposes. https://www.taranormal.com/store/images/GhostSoldiersPatchSticker_3-5x2-25.jpg Have you now suddenly developed little confidence on SA media such that you even quote from it a lot lately. What strikes me the most is that the only way for those media reports to be accepted is when they report negatively about SA. It always turns out to be propaganda when anything positive come from it. Hence, you must decide whether you will stay away from SA media or remain. Who's fooling who. |

chris365: yeah, and you failed woefully until other SADC troops came to your rescue
South Africans botch military intervention in Lesotho
They achieved the exact opposite. Moving in against fierce resistance, with poor information from their intelligence apparatus, they failed to secure their objectives timeously, and stood by while the Basotho basically looted and burnt down their own capital. The major causes of this failure were due to a lack of intelligence as to the situation on the ground, and the fact that they were understrength militarily for an operation of this nature.
I suspect that most of the South African casualties occurred in the first few hours as the South Africans waltzed in like some sort of colonial expedition, expecting the natives to see our "maxim guns" and run away. Wars don't happen like that. Something the South African general staff only realised to its dismay when it was too late.

agaugust: The South African Special Forces Brigade fake 'longest range sniper kill' was successfully erroneously captured by wikipedia as seen above, due to misinformation from one south african military union staff seeking fake glory. correction of this fraud has been made by south african government's official military commanders below :
Lieutenant General Derrick Mgwebi of the South African National Defence Force (SANDF) said at a media briefing in Pretoria on Friday denied allegations that South African snipers killed six senior rebel officers. "If there are snipers on the ground, they are not ours, only the UN can confirm who they are," said Mgwebi.

. Agaugust, I wonder if you had ever studied communications or public relations. Spokepersons or so to say spin doctors whenever they give any information to the media they wouldn't give information about operations of another organisations which they are not contracted to because they might lose their jobs. Those special forces carried outr operations under the UN umbrela, hence it is UN spokesperson who has to respond anything that concerns the operations of the UN. I thought you were much wiser. |

chris365: dead brain. Nigeria successfully LED AFISMA(the whole west african contributing troops) in the Mali conflict. no Nigerian ever claimed full glory for Mali. so am not gonna rule out french role because i want to convince some dead brains.
Nigeria has never been LED in any peace enforcement missions which SA is being commanded by a lesser military power..FACT for your dead brain.
now tell me who is leading SANDF in the FIB in DRC? no beating about the bush.. Dude, it shows me that you do not want to change and thus you do not want to conduct research before you write anything. Nigeria was led many a times by smaller countries in peace enforcement missions. It is very seldom that the UN will appoint contigent commander from either SA or Nigeria and I fail to figure out why. Agaugust also sometimes ago complained about Nigeria being under the command of a Rwandan whose country doesn't even have a proper Airforce and you are now here telling us that Nigeria has never been commanded by smaller nations. chris365: good to see you've toned the insults (i was tired of doing such)
1) Mali mission was not a UN mission but a west african mission Led by Nigeria. (AFISMA)
2) although France played the lead role, i posted a link where a senior Malian officer said Nigeria was involved in the offensive from day one(not UN supported)
3) we claim victory in Mali cos Nigeria without UN support fought and lead west africa(a whole region) in Mali. politically and militarily(AFISMA)
SANDF is only playing support role in DRC. cos every independent source calls it a UN mission Led. Not south african.
i also have my reasons to say it won't succeed. Dude, why cant you make a concise research before you put any pen to paper. Don't act like your fellow monkey, Agaugust. Oops!! You failed again. |

agaugust: dont use your head to think, keep waiting until america sends you a personal letter to say the words 'navy and coast guard helicopters' means every navy and coast guard helicopter.
in american engineering standards, law and technical government regulations, everything that carries weight, bridge, ship, haulage truck, is built to carry 2 to 4 times its normal recommended payload in case of any abnormal situation that may arise.
ships flight decks they did not teach you in south african navy, are built strong enough to carry 2 to 3 times the weight of its helicopter because of emergency landing force impact....only a foolish south african will build a ship's flight deck to withstand only a force of 10,000 kg/f because its helicopter weight is 10,000 kg. a normal engineer will build that flight deck to withstand a load of force of 20,000 kg/f or much more in case of emergency hard landing due to engine stall, damage to helicopter in flight, etc.
toyota corrola is built for 4 passengers, if 8 passengers seat inside it crammed together, the vehicle will still move, and that is a mere passenger car, not a haulage or lift platform that can get emergency force and hard/shock landing.

foolish south african military still patrolling their own oceans with 1950 Dakota second hand rusted hand me down american gift aircraft...fools of soweto. no where in the world is a 76 mm gun of a warship relied upon as anti-aircraft defence today, and not all such guns have rate of fire like otobreda, most are far worse and weaker in capability and will never save a warship from aircraft attacks.
an average helicopter pilot will make swirl and loop maneuvers and escape the shells of a slow firing slow turning 76mm gun of a slow sailing slow turning warship. fact !
Swordfish naval aircraft with their slow speed of 224km/h slower than Hind helicopters, have been using air torpedoes and ordinary rockets to sink warships that have very heavy and multiple anti-aircraft defensive guns since 1940 second world war....fool
"In May 1941, a Swordfish strike from HMS Ark Royal was vital in damaging the German battleship Bismarck, preventing it from escaping to France. The low speed of the attacking aircraft may have acted in their favour, as the planes were too slow for the fire-control predictors of the German gunners, whose shells exploded so far in front of the aircraft that the threat of shrapnel damage was greatly diminished. At least some of the Swordfish flew so low that most of the Bismarck's flak weapons were unable to depress enough to hit them.[6] The Swordfish aircraft scored two hits; one did little damage, but the other jammed Bismarck's rudders with 15° port helm on,[7] making the warship unmanueverable; it sank after intense Royal Navy attack within 13 hours."
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fairey_Swordfish
worldwide military standard modern day anti-aircraft guns are usually from 12.7mm to 35mm firing rapid 1,100 rounds per minute, not a slow 76mm gun firing only 85 rounds per minute, only a foolish south african navy chef/cook thinks differently....upside down

chris365: good to see that you are the only one capable of replying that jargon you typed.. failed graduate Msauza: Nigeria have lost a war on terror.
In order to satisfy the media frenzy, Nigeria have now devised a propaganda to fool the world that they are winning the war on terror by falsely claiming that Shekau, the leader of Boko Haram is dead. They have searched everywhere for Shekau in vain and all that they can come with are unfounded claims that the most feared leader might have died from the gun shot wound. This was done so to achieve their own delusional victory while continuous attacks are still ongoing.
Even though Nigeria has recruited hundreds of soldiers from neighbouring countries to their so called MNJTF, it has however failed to bear any fruit. Their mission in Mali was forced to be cut short because of ongoing insugents attacks and the consistent killing of the soldiers which most of the times is downplayed by the government to deny the insugents psychological victory.
There have been many reports which suggested Nigeria is downplaying the number of casualties in their war against terror and that they are finally losing the war. The solid proof to that is when America started deploying their drones and now lately they have even vowed to send number of troops to help fight terror on behalf of the losers. Bwahahahahaha!!! |

You fled your real mission in CAR to play support in a UN mission.
Now CAR is a mess thanks to SANDF. No achievements SA never fled any mission in CAR, it was a political decision that SA must withdraw even though Zuma wanted to send more troops. The parliament argued that the mission was neither supported by AU nor UN. |

NaijaPikinGidi: Empty claims! I will not be surprised if Tanzanian forces begin to counter the stories that you are attributing to SANDF alone! Are you really claiming to have better knowledge of the terrain than the Tanzanians? So far, we have info that the Tanzanians are the lead force in the frontline action so far, meaning they have led the reconnaisance operations, and are embedded with the DRC army on the frontlines. Don't come painting glorious pictures of your weak SANDF, whereas we know those doing the very dirty job at the moment. Which army operates the MI-24s for the UN mission? You'll need to exercise caution in all you say or claim on behalf of your SANDF. Better still ... provide proof for each comment or claims your make ...
Right now, I can only say good luck to the UN member troops in DRC. . SANDF is heading the mission as tasked by the UN. I have just seen six Rooivalks gunships an hour ago heading towards Limpopo and am not sure if they are already on their way to the DRC or not. |
