2smooth2shout: stop deceiving yourself guy. why do you think they are labelled "african americans"? if they feel it inside that they are americans, why do they keep singing about africa and coming back to find their roots. though the constitution allows them to claim it but these black know deep inside them that they are not americans but liberated slaves.
why do you think the "N" word is offensive to them if they feel like americans inside? real south africans are the black illiterates still being sidelined by their masters. simple
if the whites feel like africans why do they call themselves "afrikaans". learn your history boy. do Nigerians have to teach you everything? African Americans with that America still in the equation. R Kelly is an American boss. |

blackchris: rubbish.. tis shows how much you are lost in history. what will you tell your generations?
real south africans are blacks until the whites entered there and turned you to slaves for centuries and then thought they would enslave you forever. this is where Afrikaans originated from.
until 1990s blacks were never considered as south africans but slaves in their own land. go learn you history to know the true south africans. In other words R Kelly is also not an American. |

agaugust: at least your men were only good enough for a 'quickiee' 5 minute rush, your illiterate south african men are not good enough to marry nigerian women.
sure there are white anglo/afrikaaners/coloured south african born citizen women who are also street prostitutes in south africa. your indigenous women are more in number as prostitutes. less are foreigners. many international prostitutes fear to do 'business' in your HIV infested and endemic south africa.
nigerian women in south africa are foreigners, but the south african women our naija boys are s.crewing are citizens of south africa being s.crewed by naija foreigners on your homeland soil....and your men are helplessly dying of jealousy
. Your Nigerian men are screwing outdated materials which have been spewed out like tasteless chewing gum by SA men. With respect to your Nigerian women, they are just not our class. They do not know how to dress properly nor even to take a good care of themselves. How would you marry such women, no wonder SA men do not prefer to marry Nigerian or any foreign African woman for that matter. Regarding HIV, Nigeria comes second in the world and surely we are even uncertain about their stats since the WHO is concerned that Nigerians fail to take routine HIV tests. |

How many missionary schools? And how many of your grandfolks got educated? They surely were very busy back in those days, slaving away in the mines for your Aparthied masters! Every church in every town in SA had its own missionary schools. So, SA as a whole had millions of missionary schools. |

Like I have always said, they just can't get above their current low mental capacities. I have information to prove so much, but it's not worth all the time and personal risks. While 33% remains a big fail in Nigeria, there's no doubt that it will continue to be the greatest achievement for their South African lot! The standard of education is completely different. SA has a high standard while Nigeria has a low standard. It is very easy to pass Nigerian exams than those of South Africa no wonder their pass mark will be 50%. |

Agaugust and Naijapindish have this impression that South Africans are only black. South Africans are. 1.BLACKS (Zulu, Xhosa, Setswana, Ndebele, Sesotho, Sepedi, Siswati, Xitsonga and Venda)
2.WHITES (English, Greek, Portuguese, Jews and Afrikaans)
3.COLOUREDS (English speaking and Afrikaans speaking coloureds) and
4.ASIANS (Chinese and Indians)
So, please stop focusing only on one race because SA is not Nigeria but a rainbow nation. |

agaugust: .
I don't believe that south African literacy figure they postt here. About 90% of the pre-apartheid era blacks are illiterates shut out of the educational system by their racist white boer and Anglo masters. An intellectually wasted generation and majority group in south Africa. All still alive drinking 'cool drink' beer while immigrant Nigerians with technical and professional education and work skills take over the citizens jobs everyday
. Jealousy is what makes you to reject the stats. Those stats were taken from a reliable source. I wonder if you even believe what has been written in your constitution of 1999. During apartheid there were schools in South Africa and the only difference was that they were separated on racial lines. Blacks could not attend white schools or Indian schools. Education system was so fragmented in such that every race had their own school. |

GidiNaijaPikin: Address the counterpoints I made using your own material rather than tantruming on me Your brain cannot even analyse the variables of the data and information you tried to use! Or better still, is this not a typical South African case of copying and pasting ... ? India is not saying 33% is a pass ... rather they are saying that failure will not be rubbed in on failing students. The bottom line is 33% pass mark or should I say qualifying mark which is clearly the same thing. Same practice in Japan, China, India, Canada, Italy, etc only US and UK is 40%. I quote from the source: The qualifying marks in each subject of external examination shall be 33% . However at Senior School Certificate Examination,in a subject involving practical work, a candidate must obtain 33% marks in the theory and 33% marks in the practical separately in addition to 33% marks in aggregate, in order to qualify in that subject. The source above speaks about 33% and not 40, 50, or 60. The CBSE is merely a copy of South Africas Secondary education system. |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by Msauza(m): 5:17pm On Jul 26, 2013 |
GidiNaijaPikin: Only a numbskull 33% brain like you will conclude that India's rating system is equivalent to SA's 33% pass! Moreover India is in a trial phase just so that the word fail is eradicated from scoresheets. Pay attention to the variables of India's system and note that it is not the same as your blanket system where an abysmal 33% is a pass!! In India 33% is not an absolute qualifying grade for promotion!
===========================================
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has introduced grading for Class X from 2010. Board examinations will finally come without the pass or fail tag for students.
The nine-point scale grading system will require students to get qualifying grades in four of the five subjects to get promoted to the next level. It has been decided not to carry pass or fail on the mark sheets of students. Students will have four options to improve on their grades within a period of two years from their exam.
The grading system will adopt a five-point scale, which means awarding students grades from A to E. This will eliminate the schools from showing raw scores on the evaluation report of each student.
The new grading system is based on two parameters - absolute and percentile marks. There is a uniform model to be followed in assessing all subjects. But the parameters are different for different subjects depending upon the difficulty level. For example, A star grade would signify 9 points for Maths, while the same would signify 7 points for English.
Under the new grading system there will be subject-wise grades, no cumulative grade will be awarded, as our mark sheets do not carry the total marks at present. The last grade will be the un-qualifying grade and this will decide whether the candidate has passed the exam or failed it.''
Gradually the word 'fail' would be abolished once this system is successfully implemented. This would reduce stress on students. "But we may have to wait for some more years before completely abolishing fail from Boards.
Summative Assessment Based on the term-end examination
There will be two evaluations each in the first and second terms. Each evaluation will carry 10 marks apiece.
Formative Assessment To evaluate and grade class work, homework, assignment and project work
There will be one term-end exam for each term. The first term-end exam will carry 20 marks. The second term-end exam will carry 40 marks.
Evaluation
Students of class IX and X will be evaluated on a 9-point grading system. Each grade, given on the basis of both formative and summative assessments, will correspond to a range of marks.
The nine point grading scale for measuring Scholastic achievements is reproduced below: -
Marks Range
Grade Grade point
91-100 A1 10.0
81-90 A2 9.0
71-80 B1 8.0
61-70 B2 7.0
51-60 C1 6.0
41-50 C2 5.0
33-40 D 4.0
21-32 E1 C
00-20 E2 C
Points to Remember
(i) Assessment of theory/practical papers in external subjects shall be in numerical scores. In addition to numerical scores, the Board shall indicate grades in the marks sheets issued to the candidates in case of subjects of external examinations. In case of internal assessment subjects, only grades shall be shown.
(ii) Subjects of internal examination in Class X the assessment shall be made on a five point scale I.e. A,B,C,D & E.
(iii) The grades shall be derived from scores in case of subjects of external examination. In case of subjects of internal assessment, they shall be awarded by the schools.
(iv) The qualifying marks in each subject of external examination shall be 33% . However at Senior School Certificate Examination,in a subject involving practical work, a candidate must obtain 33% marks in the theory and 33% marks in the practical separately in addition to 33% marks in aggregate, in order to qualify in that subject.
(v) For awarding the grades, the Board shall put all the passed students in a rank order and will award grades as follows :
A1 : Top 1/8th of the passed candidates A2 : Next 1/8th of the passed candidates B1 : Next 1/8th of the passed candidates B2 : Next 1/8th of the passed candidates C1 : Next 1/8th of the passed candidates C2 : Next 1/8th of the passed candidates D1 : Next 1/8th of the passed candidates D2 : Next 1/8th of the passed candidates E : Failed candidates
Important Points
(a) In case of a tie, all the students getting the same score, will get the same grade. If the number of students at a score point need to be divided into two segments, the smaller segment will go with the larger.
(b) Method of grading will be used in subjects where the number of candidates who have passed is more than 500.
(c) In respect of subjects where total number of candidates passing in a subject is less than 500, the grading would be adopted on the pattern of grading and distribution in other similar subjects.
=========================================
Please acquaint yourself of the word "aggregate". And make sure to understand the detailed qualifying variables before putting your stupid.ity in the openview of the world! It's your right to celebrate the sad emptiness of your cranial enclave!!! Bwahahahahaha!!! That is very same system practiced in South Africa. That was in 2010 the system is now fully implemented in INDIA. Canada is also using the same system. |

Number of non literate Nigerians = 67 000 000 Number of non literate South Africans = 6 800 000
Nigeria therefor has almost 10 times more illiterates than SA. Do you see how useless your so called analysis was? That was a super kick and it is a clear evidence that South Africans have superior brains. Well done!!! |

GidiNaijaPikin: From available Literacy rates:
Nigeria: 61% of total population (about 104,210,000 literate people) SA: 86.4% of total population (about 43,000,000 literate people)
Point is ... Nigeria has two and a half times more literate people than South Africa! And going by SA's definition of a Pass mark (33%), it is apparent that the quality of your literate population is a massive sham!
No doubt you are being your very deluded self. It's your right!! Then go to crime stats and do the same analysis. Again, our 33% pass mark will score exactly 100% in Nigerias system. Our exams and level of teaching is not the same, South Africas level of education is on par with that of first world countries since we have many Americans and Europeans schooling in SA. |
