Waoh...this scares the jippers off me in more ways than I can mention... But hey sis live it up. It's ur life and it's God's gift to you to spend it how you like. But know for sure that you will give account for every single action and inaction u take.

Listen to how one sage puts it:

8 Oh, how sweet the light of day,
And how wonderful to live in the sunshine!
Even if you live a long time, don’t take a single day for granted.
Take delight in each light-filled hour,
Remembering that there will also be many dark days
And that most of what comes your way is smoke.

9 You who are young, make the most of your youth.
Relish your youthful vigor.
Follow the impulses of your heart.
If something looks good to you, pursue it.
But know also that not just anything goes;
You have to answer to God for every last bit of it.

10 Live footloose and fancy-free—
You won’t be young forever.
Youth lasts about as long as smoke.

For Donald?? no hope. Under the circumstances we have found ourselves, anything just to send the terrorist president packing come 2019 is highly welcomed.

Personally for me, i think Donald Duke is building castles in the air.

I don't see him getting block votes from the North. I doubt if he has any stronghold there.

Be it as it may, I believe Atiku is currently the only candidate strong enough to challenge the terrorist president for votes in the North.

I am not supporting anybody yet but believe me Atiku is our best bet in sending the terrorist president packing.

They are both evil but between both of them, we have to choose the lesser evil "Atiku" for the benefit of all.
Can't we just get beyond this point of voting 'the lesser of two evils'? That was how some people were saying they would rather vote for a goat to be the president than vote GEJ. Well, we didn't get a goat, we got a cow lover grin. If the opposition can't present a credible candidate, I say we STICK rather than Twist. How long anyway are we going to be 'voting out' who we don't want instead of 'voting in' who we need? I'd be the first person to acknowledge that our current president is far from being the ideal, but comparing him with former VP Atiku, makes him look like a JFK or Abe LINCOLN

Sorry dude, take heart but remember that holy communion can't make you "Holy" or take you to "Heaven" rather your righteousness.
Not his own righteousness either sis. We have no righteousness of our own to recommend us to God. Only the Righteousness of the Son of God, the Righteous One.

As far as this topic is concerned, I wanna believe that the guy is jumping to a conclusion-the wrong one in this instance; it's more likely the fact the guy isn't a member of the Anglican church. Orthodox churches can be quite formalistic. (Catholic church for eg won't administer Corpus Christi to anyone not baptized in the Catholic church)

Methinks this guy is probably trying to draw attention to his beard, which looks great by the way. But please don't conclude this way. It reflects poorly on the church
Christianity EtcRe: Believers In Hell - Jack Kelley by MSRA(m): 9:47am On Mar 04, 2018
The doctrine of eternal security is a teaching from the pits of hell designed to lull men into complacency and give them a feeling of security while in actual fact they are rushing headlong to eternal damnation; it is the ULTIMATE DECEPTION. This is what God says about it in Ezekiel 3:20: "And if the righteous turn back from living righteously and take up with evil when I step in and put them in a hard place, they'll die. If you haven't warned them, they'll die because of their sins, and none of the right things they've done will count for anything - and I'll hold you responsible".
Countless examples exist in scripture
1) Judas Iscariot (one of the 1st ever believers in Christ in history; Jesus said there will be no room for forgiveness for him)
2) The 5 foolish virgins (I don't know you the Master told them)
3) Demas (who esteemed the love of this world greater than the love of God)
4) The Ephesian Church ( Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.
Revelation 2:5)
5) The church in Sardis ( Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee. Revelation 3:3)

@postemail and to all, i dont know if anyone has pointed this out previously on the thread, so i will just quickly point out that I think the loophole is with the ATM card. what i mean is this: i, for instance, dont have an ATM card and yet i do transfers, online of cos. I use the physical token instead of the virtual token. for the virtual token u are required to enter your ATM card's last 4 digits. i get it that the USSD code works offline (ie no internet access required). but my point is this. if you must, do a transfer, ie if for any reason u cant go to the bank, rather than use the *737# thing, do the online transfer or the GTB app. Why? the FOUR-TIER in built security:
1. My User ID
2. My PIN
3. My security question (answer to which no one on earth, possible exception of my wife, can guess)
4. My token

I took time to read almost 4 pages of replies and no one is saying anything about the fact that the girl might very well be innocent. The report says she confessed. What interrogation tactic was used? I dont trust the nigerian police an inch? Let them say how they obtained this 'confession' from her. Someone else might be responsible for that murder & she would be nothing more than a fall girl. Whatever the case maybe though, this case has no business being in a high court. She's a juvenile and she should be in a juvenile court, end of. The so called confession should be thrown out and declared 'inadmissible' in court. Any further interrogation should be done in the presence of a court appointed guardian (in lieu of her very poor excuse of a parent).

Maybe there is something else everybody knows that I dont know o, but if her 'confession' is all they got, let them just do a little 'real investigation' and they might just find d real murderer(s).

PoliticsRe: Al-mustapha Statement On Abacha"s Death In His Prison Notes by MSRA(m): 11:34am On Aug 12, 2011
This is really sad. To think that for a couple of hours there, this man had the destiny of the country in his hand, literally. Imagine he wanted to and could have shot Abdusalam dead and then we would have been saddled with Bamaiyi as head of state; I shudder at the very thought of Bamaiyi as head of state even for 1 hour. He would only have instigated blood shed and began his own reign of terror.

For an intelligence man Al-mustapha, u didnt sound very inteligent there for a moment. You ask y people never say that Abiola died 'on top of a woman'? Because he was in prison.  remember? you and your oga put him there and I wanna bet you didn't allow him conjugal visit. So that's y, it would never cross anybody's mind. Simple rule of comparison: compare like with like. On the other hand your oga, having hijacked and annexed Nigeria's treasury, was living in wealth and opulence and could have paid for the services of the most expensive call girl in the world, be she Indian, European or African or whatever.

It really surprises me that a lot of people are buying into this. Mind you, I never really believe the story of d indian whores. sounds just a wee bit over outlandish and novel. Pardon me, but Al-Mustapha's version isnt any more logical. All of a sudden 'the head of state was unstable'. Of cos he was unstable and that was why he died. Until you tell us d cause of the instability, the real cause, I'm sorry al-musty, we'll just make do with the Indian LovePeddler(s) or d (Indian) apple or any other story that tickles our fancy.

Can't believe it's been 13 years, but I remember like yesterday where I was the day I heard that Abacha had gone the way of his fathers. I was in El-Kanemi hall, university of Lagos. I remember because there was spontaneous jubilation and the students of El-ka immediately took to the streets. I didnt join but i vividly remember leaning over the wall to watch other students along Akoka road marching towards FCE Akoka. And i remembered thinking that it was real sad when people celebrate the death of another person, seeing as we are all going to leave this plane one way or the other.

The only thing he said that makes any kind of sense is the fact that General Abacha's death was planned/organised. I  agree wholeheartedly. And that's why I still believe in the entity called Nigeria. Because God still has plans for us. (Sorry to disappoint all the conspiracy theorist, I believe it's God that ultimately rules over the affairs of man. He sets up rulers and disposes of them).

God bless Nigeria.

402 Million. Gosh! Talk about bursting at the seams. 401,999,999 other Nigerians besides me come 2050 (God sparing me). I shudder and shiver to imagine Naija still stuck with the burden of '1 Nigeria' and this present ilk of leaders and 402 million of us, not counting the diaspora. And maybe by then the oil (the black glue holding us together ) drying out or loosing out to some other form of alternate fuel and no longer  bringing in billions of dollars.  I can just imagine riots, and area boys and almajiris and kidnappers and armed robbers or is it army robbers. and no roads, zero ammenities, moribund healthcare and educational system. And worse, gross inky darkness everywhere. And the ever present, ever looting politicians, still doing what they know best to do: LOOTING. And what percentage living below the so called 1-dollar-a-day line? 90%, 95%?

O boy, I'm having a nightmare in broad daylight; someone pinch me please.

Hopefully, the CIA's (or whoever's) prediction that Nigeria would be a failed state 35 years before then comes to pass first. And by failed state I hope it is going to be (at least) 3 separate and fully functional entities and not the Somalia kind of failed state.

But 402 million within the present Nigeria is a formula for Armageddon and anarchy. Join me in saying God forbid.
Nairaland GeneralNigeria's Population To Be 4th In The World By 2050 by MSRA(op): 8:44am On Jul 01, 2011
Here is the world in 2050, as imagined by the U.S. Census Bureau: India will be the most populous nation, surpassing China sometime around 2025. The U.S. will remain exactly where it is now: in third place, with a population of 423 million (up from 308 million in 2010). And declining birth rates in two of the world's most economically and politically influential countries, Japan and Russia, will cause them to fall from their current positions as the 9th and 10th most populous nations, respectively, to 16th and 17th.
The findings are the result of population estimates and projections of 228 countries compiled by the U.S. Census Bureau's International Data Base (IDB). They offer a revealing look into the future. "One of the biggest changes we've seen has been the decline in fertility in some developed countries such as China," says Loraine West , an IDB project manager, "while others are experiencing a slight increase." In other words, China's population boom is finally slowing down while Western Europe's long-declining birth rate is - in some places, at least - rising again. Spain and Italy are "on an uptick," says West, "but how high will [the birth rate] rise? Or will it simply fluctuate up and down on some long term level? We'll have to see." According to Italy's The National Institute of Statistics, the country's recent population increase can be largely attributed to its own immigrant population. See TIME's "Intelligent Cities."wink
The two countries on track to make the biggest population gains are Nigeria and Ethiopia. Nigeria currently boasts 166 million people, but by 2050 its population is expected jump to 402 million. Ethiopia's population will likely triple from 91 million to 278 million, bringing the east African nation into the one of the top 10 most populous countries in the world for the first time. In fact, according to the United Nations Population Division, although only 18% of the world's population lives in so-called "high-fertility" countries (places where women have more than 1.5 daughters on average), most of those countries are in Africa; the continent is expected to experience significant population growth in the coming decades, which could compound the already-dire food supply issues in some African nations.
While the U.S. appears relatively stable - it's the only country in the top 10 whose ranking is not expected to change in the next 40 years - previous census reports have highlighted dramatic demographic shifts within the country's borders. Last week, the Census Bureau announced that more than half of children under two in the U.S. are ethnic minorities. Add to that the non-Hispanic white population's increasing age (in California, for example, the median age for non-Hispanic whites is almost 10 years older than that of the state as a whole) and America in 2050 will look a lot different than the America we know today. (See TIME's video: 10 Questions for Robert Groves.)
Perhaps the most unfortunate change is the one currently experienced by Russia. The cold, vast country has been undergoing steady depopulation since 1992 and the U.S. Census Bureau expects it to decline further, from 139 million people to 109 million by 2050. That's a 21% drop, even more than country suffered during World War II. Like many countries, Russia is experiencing declining birth rates, but it's also suffering form a relatively low life expectancy. According to the World Health Organization, Russian men have a life expectancy of just 62 years, a fact that is often attributed to the country's high rate of alcoholism and poor diet. (For comparison, Japan is also struggling with depopulation, but the World Health Organization puts its life expectancy at 80 for men and 86 for women).
So what does this mean? The U.S. is not yet experiencing the kind of population decline that Europe experienced in the 1990s and 2000s, although immigration and differing birth rates among races means that the country's ethnic composition is changing. Something similar will be going on in the rest of the world, as well: Africa and India's boom, Russia's decline and China's expected plateau (holding steady around 1.3 billion people between now and 2050) will change the makeup of the estimated 9.4 billion people who will call Earth home in 2050. The future, it seems, is not as distant as we think.

Can the reverse of this situation ever happen i.e. a christian president or maybe the pope visit Saudi officially and then make a detour to hold a crusade somewhere inviting people to convert to Christianity and then distribute the Bible? It can NEVER happen methinks. And that is the importance of freedom. And given the chance again, the Italians wont stop him, becos its a free country and he has a freedom of expression which is more than can be said about a lot of the Arab countries.
