I, like the good governor apparently as well, had never heard of the cobra effect either so I googled it and had to laugh out loud right in the banking hall, when I read the story behind it.

The below is from Wikipedia:

The term cobra effect originated in an anecdote set at the time of British rule of colonial India. The British government was concerned about the number of venomous cobra snakes in Delhi. The government therefore offered bounty for every dead cobra. Initially this was a successful strategy as large numbers of snakes were killed for the reward. Eventually, however, enterprising people began to breed cobras for the income. When the government became aware of this, the reward program was scrapped, causing the cobra breeders to set the now-worthless snakes free. As a result, the wild cobra population further increased. The apparent solution for the problem made the situation even worse.

Nice PR job, whoever this is. But, as to his being punctual, unassuming, 'un-condescending' and all those other terms u used, all I have to say is Wait! He's still an aspirant and so he's gonna put his best foot forward. And it's not by any means guaranteed that he's gonna win yet anyway. So, the jury is still out. My bet is that he's gonna revert to type as all these politicians eventually do after they win. Then good luck getting an interview with him

I love Richard and all his antics in his shows, CNN Business Traveller even more than Quest means Business but in the pulpit? I think that's a No No. What's he gonna preach? Can't imagine anyway

But he probably just worshipped there and was given the Mike to say a few words... It's not everyday a CNN super star comes to your church to worship afterall. Overall he's a decent chap.

You can see the above quoted statement has no iota of wisdom. Why should religious programs be carried out when there's a curfew? What's the reason for the curfew in the first place? Isn't it is ensure safety? What if they are attacked during the program despite being told there's a curfew? This man won't stop wailing.

For goodness sake stop this. Stop it at once. Don't be lulled into believing that it's just hot air when your roof is on fire my friend. And the facts on ground can't be controverted. You can type this comfortably from the comfort and safety of your house or office in the South. But I beg you in the Name of God, if you believe in Him, Spare a thought and a prayer if you can for the helpless women and kids caught in the eye of this storm, the perenial Kaduna religious Crisis

Personally, I believe that there is an agenda to wipe out Christianity from the North and unfortunately, Kaduna is the frontline of the battle, the Muslim-Christian interface and it's going to feel the heat of the battle the most. I pray God protects them in the face of this satanic program against them.

One thing though, they must not be left alone. Thank God for Dr Paul and Bishop Oyedepo who keep sounding the alarm, else I believe the whole of the Christian South would be believing like this my friend that everything is fine

Did a Google search of the image and found out that it was actually Nigerians of South East extraction protesting in front of Nigeria House in the UK against British support of the Federal Government of Nigeria in 1969. So these are basically Ibos with little more than the odd Yoruba, probably the lone Yoruba guy with the placard of O'dua Republic. So saying the Yorubas were pleading with Ojukwu to help liberate us is not only far fetched, it's a thread bare lie.

Even though I'm a born again Christian, i think this is very wrong in all ramifications but we Christians seems to encourage immorality in every form. The twerking concept was invented by we Christians and the ripple effects is now telling on our kids whose upbringing is been jeopadized with Christian hypocrisy. No matter how we demonize Muslims, we will never find any Muslim parents allowing their children to partake in this show of shame. I'd be the first person to acknowledge that our current president is far from being the ideal, but comparing him with former VP Atiku, makes him look like a JFK or Abe LINCOLN

If only that were the case, everyone would be the happier for it as they also have the financial muscle to renovate and turn the school around. We need refined petroleum products more than we need the weapons. Have they 'finished' any of the refineries in spite of the never ending TAM every successive regime carries out? One conclusion we can safely reach is this: DON'T expect anything from any government. Not this present one especially.

My question to the lawmakers is this: Please name just one Government Enterprise that is functioning and not moribund & comatose. Is it Nitel, Nepa (phcn, whatever), refineries even nnpc itself. So why are they sure all of a sudden that ajaokuta will be different? So sure that they are ready to borrow half a billion dollars to throw into this bottom less pit of a project. Is it bcuz they know that some of the dollars will stick to their thick grabbing fingers?

Not his own righteousness either sis. We have no righteousness of our own to recommend us to God. Only the Righteousness of the Son of God, the Righteous One.

As far as this topic is concerned, I wanna believe that the guy is jumping to a conclusion-the wrong one in this instance; it's more likely the fact the guy isn't a member of the Anglican church. Orthodox churches can be quite formalistic. (Catholic church for eg won't administer Corpus Christi to anyone not baptized in the Catholic church)

Methinks this guy is probably trying to draw attention to his beard, which looks great by the way. But please don't conclude this way. It reflects poorly on the church

This is the problem...that's how exactly we got to where we are now. One of my brothers said back then that he would rather vote a dog than vote for GEJ; he has now joined the bandwagon of people calling for PMB to go. It's time for us to start voting in who we really want rather than merely voting out the incumbent we are tired of. Else we'll just be going around in vicious cycles.

@postemail and to all, i dont know if anyone has pointed this out previously on the thread, so i will just quickly point out that I think the loophole is with the ATM card. what i mean is this: i, for instance, dont have an ATM card and yet i do transfers, online of cos. I use the physical token instead of the virtual token. for the virtual token u are required to enter your ATM card's last 4 digits. i get it that the USSD code works offline (ie no internet access required). but my point is this. if you must, do a transfer, ie if for any reason u cant go to the bank, rather than use the *737# thing, do the online transfer or the GTB app. Why? the FOUR-TIER in built security:
1. My User ID
2. My PIN
3. My security question (answer to which no one on earth, possible exception of my wife, can guess)
4. My token
HERES TO A FRAUD FREE 2017, HOPEFULLY, TO ALL! SEE U IN A BIT!
