And pls spare me the religion plays no role in good governance narrative. A Muslim-Muslim, Christian-Christian or Herbalist-Herbalist ticket can be bad as well. We are talking about[b] Federal Character Principle in the constitution [/b]as it should reflect Fairness in the politics of the country especially in religion and other factors.

It is unfortunate you even referred to yourself as an History and Int'l Studies/Relations graduate. You are even making a provocative statement that other religions are not "strong" enough in Nigeria. Stop being arrogant please. Where is your respect for other religions? Even if they have just 2 worshippers in the country, you have to respect them.

Which constitution divides Nigeria into Christian/Muslim dichotomy? When does North and South translates to Islam and Christianity? When does Federal Character Principle refers to being a Christian and Muslim?

I will be interested in the name of of the school you graduated from, that school needs to be avoided at all cost. Or maybe you chose this path yourself. Even, I wont expect a secondary school student studying history as part of his or her subjects to put up this non scholarly arguments. It is pathetic

He wishes so strongly to be a kingmaker but he keeps failing anytime he attempts it. Always dragging Christianity into politics. Shame.

Nigeria is a diferent case. Nigeria is divided along the 2 religions (not more than 2 religions) and if you don't want trouble you have to make them both reflect. The constitution you are talking about advocates for fairness.

When the constitution talks about fairness, not in the context of religion. Do you know how many religions we have in Nigeria? If all worshippers of these other religions start advocating and pushing for their own, everything will snowball into crises.

Start looking out for the antecedent of people that will govern Nigeria, put religion at the back burners. What have you gained from all the christians or Muslims who have been put in the position of power.

The pastors and Imams are influencing and controlling your perspective, free yourself from their claws.

My Ibadan Muslim friend disapproved of Tinubu's Muslim-Muslim ticket because according to him, if it was a Christian-Christian ticket, he would not have approved of it either. Obi did no wrong here for standing up for Christians.

Stop all this thrash. Nigeria is neither a Christian or Muslim state. I am a Christian and if it is herbalist- herbalist ticket that will deliver Nigeria, I will vote for them.

Nigeria is not governed by the bible or quoran. Nigerian Is governed by the constitution. The constitution states that Nigeria is a SECULAR state, which means she has no religion. So, why premise everything on religion?

Even the UK that is a Christian nation, where you are all running to, is being governed by an Hindu man . So, what's you guys problem. Instead of looking for good governance, you are being hoodwinked by your pastors who are always creating religious wars out of everything

Out of all the so called "men of God", Oyedepo has this strong self disillusionment of being a kingmaker. Fortunately, each time he tried, he failed.

He is always using the pulpit to further his political leverage. They hide behind preaching the word of God to cunningly influence people's votes. That's not what Christianity is all about.

Where does this leave us? There are two contradictory position from the UK govt.

Does this mean you can ONLY make an application as an individual to Health organisation in the UK but no health care organisation must seek to recruit from those countries on the red list?

Remember that on Linkedln for instance, organisation can ACTIVELY reach out to individuals. Does this mean this cant be done again in the case of Nigeria for health and social workers?

US is not Nigeria, let the legal process plays itself out. It is NOT in your place to determine who will be vindicated or not, allow Trump to face his charges and defend himself in court. We are talking about 30+ count charges here.

It was not the New York Prosecutor that criminally indicted him. It was a New York Grand Jury where 12 individual at minimum must agree that he was criminally liable. Remember, in Georgia - a traditional republican state - there is a strong potential for another criminal indictment.

So, sheath your sword. Your man must either surrender himself or be arrested come next week Tuesday. Maybe I should tell you this, once in custody, he will be fingerprinted and his mugshot taken.

Im a single mum of two (both under 10) in my early 30s. I make a profit of 2.1m -2.4m from my business monthly. And I just got an offer of a 9-5 job that should be paying about 600k monthly with a multinational (not sure if I want to take it in addition to my business or just face my business completely).
Edited to add: the reason I'm not sure if I'm taking the job is because it would require leaving home at 5/5:30 am and driving 3/4 hours everyday in lagos traffic, not sure I have that strength. On the other hand, apart from the extra money, it's a good way to meet more people, enlarge my circle. My business mostly online so I hardly go anywhere.

I have an opportunity to Japa to the Uk and I’m honestly unsure about going.

1. The plan is do some courses before I leave to increase my chances of getting a job in tech (non-coding) when I get to the Uk, how easy is that going to be And care work is NOT an option for me. I’m afraid to leave certainty for uncertainty.

2. I don’t want to relocate as a single lady. A lot of people in the Uk are single and lonely, I know because I have many friends there. I see babes coming to Naija in December to hustle for bf/husband. I don’t want to join that queue nor am I interested in doing ‘friends with benefits’ with anyone . I think the dating scene is kinda better in Nigeria (I stand to be corrected though).
Also financially and mentally, two heads are surely better than one.

You said you made a profit of 2.1million minimum monthly but you were still considering to take a monthly job of 500K monthly. That sounds very contradictory.

If truly you make a profit of 2.1 million naira, please just be going on a visit. Marry here. Continue doing what you are doing and expand. Many people abroad will snatch your hands off to trade places with you.

If your fiance is there, that is another thing. But for you to leave all this behind wont be reasonable. You can go there on a visit, ball hard, and enjoy what most people living over there cannot even dare enjoy

As a programmer, what baffles me.the most is that software developers who happen to be BATists are turning boolean logic upside down just to defend BAT. When we were in secondary school, you are only promoted if you pass majority of your subjects and you dont fail English or mathematics. People pass other subjects but still repeated classes cos they failed either maths or English.

You can only compare like for like. Apple and Mango are fruits but quite different.

Why comparing WAEC to Nigeria constitution? Is that how you do modelling in programming?

Whenever there is ambiguity in our laws, it is ONLY the court that can interprete that section of the law. Just wait for the Supreme Court to determine this.

My concern with this guy is he has over burdened the state with debt. He is using loan to service recurring expense.

The issue is most people cant find the link between the state's debt and their own lives. They do not know how the debt practically affect them and their livelihood.

Another thing is with almost no opposition in the state house of assembly, the check and balance has been erased. The legislators will become rubber stamp to any execeses of the Governor.

It does not bode well for Oyo state going forward but finger crossed, we will see what happens.

NB: Do not get me wrong, Teslim Folarin is never the answer. I am not even supporting him at all.

Hii folks, please I need clarification to my FIVE concerns as follows:

1]. My case was approved in December and NVC sent me a mail on February 14, 2023. Thereafter, I was thinking I would just fill the DS form, make payment at GTB, do Police Report and wait for my case to get to the Embassy before doing the medicals.

However, according to the letter received from the NVC, I realised that I need to log in into Consular Electronic Application Centre ( https://ceac.state.gov/IV/ ) and both the petitioner and myself will need to upload some documents to NVC and then pay certain fee.

I am confused as I do not think I have seen anyone mentioning this on this site unless I have mixed things up.

Is this position correct?

2] Besides, I realised I need the Case Number and the NVC Invoice ID number to log in into the CEAC platform. The letter sent to me by NVC has the case number but not the invoice number. How can I retrieve the invoice number?

3] How will i know if my application has been forwarded to the embassy and will I get an email when this is done? Will i check the same place where USCIS states that my case has been approved or i will have to check on the CEAC platform?

4] Is it compulsory for the petitioner to file for declaration of financial support. She makes upper 6-digit figure in USD and I am comfortable myself with funds in different accounts. Does she still need to fill this form stating my worth and assets in the form?
In case this is not compulsory, like how much minimum do i need to have in my account as a proof of self-sufficiency ?

5] Can I start the Police certificate and Medical now or it is the embassy that will advise me about the medical?

Can someone please step in to clarify in a very clear term as I am so confused about the process.

I dont like either of them. Seyi Makinde is using loan to service recurrent expenditure, thus sinking Oyo State into huge debt, Teslim Folarin does not have the aura of a sitting Governor.

The people could only vote for who were placed before them. If they re-vote tomm, Folarin will still lose
