Mr man stop arguing for the sake of it. We have supersonic missiles and subsonic missiles. Read through the link i sent to you, and don't pretend like you didn't see it. Also read this https://www.instagram.com/cashbery_marat/
We all learn everyday.
You are the one arguing blindly here, and I will prove you wrong.

This is the paragraph from the wikipedia that you referenced:

"Below such speeds, WEAPONS would be characterized as subsonic or supersonic, while above such speeds, the molecules of the atmosphere disassociate into a plasma which makes control and communication difficult. Directed-energy weapons such as lasers may operate at higher speeds but are considered a different class of weaponry".

The article refers to WEAPONS . Missile is a subset of weapon . Missile is a SPECIFIC kind of weapon.

I still tell you factually that ALL ballistic missiles travel 5 times the speed of sound which makes them to be called HYPERSONIC.

Hypersonic is NOT a new technology like you imagine.

NB: Don't bring in WEAPONS into this argument as WEAPONS contain different types of equipment. We are talking specifically about MISSILES.

Give me a reference that contradict that. I have previously given you my own reference.

Lol. You'll be surprise to know how people are willing to pay that ridiculous amount to leave Nigeria. They pluck money from trees in obodo oyibo grin
The worst is on the visa that will be issued, they are tied to the agency that is bringing them in, which means they cant work for any other company unless for 20 hours in the same grade level that they are working for their main agency.

Naija people ignore this. They still go work for other company with lesser grade than they are recruited. The agency that bring them in also give them fewer hours to work most times, which means at the end of the month they cant meet up with the minimum requirement for salary.

UK immigration is like a big brother, they track, monitor and record everything. If you breach any part of their rules, they are unforgiving. They will simply ask you to depart the UK for the breach.

Please ask enough questions before you buy into this scheme which seems rosy.

Nothing in what you references support your claim that not all missiles are hypersonic.

Do not forget where we started - You said ALL missiles are NOT hypersonic and I told you it was not so.

You are free to copy and paste the paragraph of where you referenced that support your claim from your referenced article.

It takes an average of about £100k plus to raise a child up to 18 years old. Some think that peanut child benefit is enough to raise a child. cheesy grin
What you spend on a child here in one year only, we didn't cost our parents that much to raise to 18 years.

In any case, what quality of life can you give your kids relying on benefits? Imagine not able to take your kids on holiday at least once a year in this 21st century in the West? Because they are too many.

So oyinbo, aside chavs, plan their family carefully.
I wish I could hug you.

You said all the right thing. Most people talking here are living below the poverty line in the UK.

I cannot say because I have children, I wont live a better life in this one life I come. You work , earn salary but your salary cannot even make you enjoy the goodies in the UK.

You cannot travel to see the world, you cannot eat in the best of restaurant, you cant go to cinema, you cant go to theatre as you consider all these surplus to requirements. You only want to be building that house in Nigeria which in the next few years will go out of vogue.

Even the kids you are hiding behind, you cannot even expose them to good stuffs that UK has to offer. Then, what is the point of slaving away?

I agree, the generalisation is concerning.
As some people are struggling with menial jobs, a friend that is a student visa dependant got 2 jobs with salaries between 50k-60k within 2 months of getting to the UK. If you have transferable professional experience, you have huge potential here.
It seems a good salary but still average by the time the taxes are done. Then the second job will be heavily taxed. Especially if both are permanent jobs but being done remotely, the second job is not worth it as the tax will be heavy. And consider switching your brain to work on different projects from different organisation, it is never healthy. It will tell on the health in the future.

I agree with your that transferable professional experience is cool though, and if that can give you the 6-digit figure, then that is the best.
TravelRe: Advice To Every UK Japa Crew by MT: 11:06am On Mar 12, 2023
UK is looking for professionals who can hit the ground running. They are not looking for a student that wants to do internship or because you have first class and you cannot ace your interview.

You will compete with other professionals across the world. There are many that study computer science, graduate and are now carers because they cannot work at a professional level.

Don't be deceived by UK is looking for professionals, they are looking for Professionals that can make instant impact at professional level.

Do not forget that their own children too are struggling to get jobs after graduating from universities and they stand better chance than you because of their accent.

Good day Nairalanders,

Please I sincerely need your help/assistance/advice to help me secure US VISA

My wife younger brother that’s a doing a Masters Programme in one of the Universities in USA will be rounding up his programme by May, 2023 and the school gave him 3 slots opportunity to invite his family members and he gave me a slot of invitation to the USA.
From the mentioned date, I have limited time to get all things available.

NOTE:
1. I have valid Passport
2. Though I have been refused USA VISA far back 2012
3. I have Business name with account with GTB Bank. I have steady flows of cash on it, but not in million
4. I have 2 kids

Please what steps should I take now and how do I get the required documents without me spending much?
The US embassy does not dwell on documentation. You must be able to convince the Consular officer orally during your interview, and your application form that you submitted must make sense.

For instance you cannot say you want to go on sight seeing, and you will mention Indianapolis. Think it through.

To be honest, in my last trip to the UK this year, I met some of them lamenting ever coming. The investment to get this COS does not make sense.

I even saw a man who has been practising as a Medical doctor for like 7 years in the National Hospital, Abuja that came via the student route. Before he finished his masters programme, he paid an agency 8million to get COS for care work and he is now working as a carer.

Till date, I cannot wrap my head around it.

My advice for you young man, stay away from CNN, BBC and co.
Old man, you expect us to rely on your hearsay or rumours. Even if you go to court, they expect you to present credible, VERIFYABLE source of information for your claims. You cited a particular website the other time but when you realised it would not cut it, you changed your source to anonymous.

I'm not sure what's going to happen to the ones already there but they should be on similar pay already especially if they were sponsored as there are minimum wage requirements. Care jobs pay very close to minimum wage, don't forget the wage I said is for 45 hours over 6 days not 5. And this does not include time it takes to drive from place to place.

The catch is they need immigrants to fill certain jobs like care jobs so its a transaction, you do the shitty job and get permanent residency leading to citizenship for you and your family. For the teacher scheme, they are facing a hiring crisis with many teachers quitting and they are
struggling to replace them hence why the visa scheme.

And yes I agree paying N13m is ridiculous and excessive. The offer I mentioned that I saw didn't charge them for sponsorship thankfully.

Also did you know the people will still have to pay visa fees on top of the N13mhuh That's excessive and purely due to the greed of the care company owners and the desperation of people.
Thanks for shedding more lights.

However, the experience of most people now is that once they get to the UK, they realise that the care homes are not really serious ones. They dont have jobs to bring those people from Nigeria that are being sponsored, which makes these individuals unable to meet with the legal minimum wage requirements.

And you know the home office has advanced information system that exposes all these for each individuals. Having breached the contract of minimum wage, will the UK still approve their Indefinite Leave to Remain when the time comes.

A lot of people fall into this category.

It's a shitty job with very very bad pay and conditions. They are simply taking advantage of the desperation of people to fill jobs their people don't want to do, and it is made worse by greedy and unscrupulous Nigerians also taking advantage of their people by making people pay large sums just so they can be sponsored. That 13m you mentioned does not go to the government but stays with the care company owner.

I saw one offer myself, they are paying about GBP25k to work 6 days a week with 20 days annual leave, and if you leave within 3 years they will charge you GBP 2k - 3k. You also need to have a car so you can drive to client houses. That's slave wage.

On the other hand the benefits are you will get the work permit sponsorship and start the 5 year count for permanent residency, time spent on student visa does not count towards permanent residency requirements. Also your spouse will also have a work permit so can hopefully get a better job to improve your household income because I know many people who have not been able to get good jobs as the companies don't want to sponsor so they have to settle for lower paid jobs, and kids will get free school etc.

Many people are struggling to get good jobs via the student visa route, and it is not helped by many Nigerians seeking cheaper universities with easier entry requirements, and while cheaper its still expensive to the average Nigerian.
What about those that are there and the care agencies are already paying lesser than the minimum requirements. Have they not breached the law? Will home office renew for them or approve the indefifinte to remain for them when the time comes. I know UK are not immigration friendly and there must be a catch in this newly designed scheme which seems like they want foreigners in.

Pay 13million naira for COS, to me, is unreasonable.

What you quoted explain nothing.

I have just told you the 3 advantages of Kinzhal missile. Those 3 advantages make air defence of Ukraine not to cope with it.
It does not possess HGV.

If you want to learn about hypersonic missile, read this in its entirety:

Great0ne1:
You made a mistake. Hypersonic in nature means it has atleast, 5 times the speed of sound. Not really manuevrability
Stop arguing what you dont know. All Missiles, I repeat is hypersonic in nature. It is only the hypersonic Glide vehicle (HGV) which makes them to change directions at will that is the game changer.

Even, Russia Kinzhal missile does not even have HGV - its main advantage is that it can be launched from MiG-31 fighter jets, giving it a longer range and the ability to attack from multiple directions. China and US are developing their own respective HGV. And US is already developing "direct system" to destroy any hypersonic missile in flight.

Nigerians are no more rushing the UK student visa, knowing fully well the cost involve and the challenges, and uncertainties that lie ahead once they are there. The rush now is for UK Carer Visa, with the cost to get COS (Certificate of Sponsorship) going as high as 13Million naira at the moment.

Is this amount worth it ?

I have interacted with some who have crossed to the UK using this visa and their experiences have largely not been positive. Most of the agencies are not getting enough job to make them pay the minimum wage for that class of visa as reuired by the UK immigration law. Many of these individuals are stressed out on the job, and regretting why they spent so muh more to come to the UK in the first instance.

I know it cannot be all gloom as some are might be actually enjoying it.

For the sake of those people trying to make this decision, can the carers who are in the UK share their honest opinions about their experiences over there.
Foreign AffairsRe: Russia Launches 80 Hypersonic Missiles Against Ukraine by MT: 12:18pm On Mar 11, 2023
All missiles are hypersonic in nature, it is only the manuevrability that stands it out. The US Navy is working on using "Direct energy system" to destroy any hypersonic missile in flight.

Great weapons have been built and designed in the past, and great solution have been built to counter them.

If Russia Kinzhal hypersonic missile is a game changer, Russia should have won the war.

NB: Op it was NOT 80 hypersonic missiles that were fired. Russia has literarily run out of them. Russia needed 3 week to produce the ones they recently used, which were just 6 in numbers. They used different combinations of missiles including cruise, anti ship missile etc. Your heading is misleading.
