Eguavoen should NEVER come near anything that has to do with coaching in Nigeria again |
This is a disaster in the making. Disgraceful performance in front of their own fans. Our coach is horrible, the players are second rate players. I cant believe what i am watching right now. These guys are not going to the world cup and they are not bothered!! |
I want to believe the Nigeria players do not believe there is an away goal. They are playing like they can not be bothered. This 2nd half is so so annoying |
The fans are disappointing too. They should raise their voices a notch. The players look like they have given up. The coach is a mannequin at this moment |
No dribbler for this team. Ghana game plan is working. Something has to give. It will be disastrous for Nigeria to miss out in the world cup |
001spice:Nigeria wont be going to the world cup |
Nigerians are playing with zero urgency now. As it stands, Nigeria is out. This disjointed play favours Ghana. They will want to see this out as a draw match and qualify. Eguaoven needs to pull the rabbit out of his hat !! |
Fahdiga:Before you start insulting presidency, what about the Governor's who collect monthly allocation on behalf of the state every month. State Government is closer to the people that presidency. Let's start holding them accountable. |
nairavsdollars:If one wins the other, Nigerians will still be the losers. Nigeria as a country is suffering from true, intelligent, selfless and genuine leaders. No wonder greater percentage of the citizens have become nomadic across the globe and will do anything to be citizens of another country. |
This is the result when we have mediocres in the position of power. All they know is wait for monthly allocation from Abuja, embezzle the larger part and ration the rest among the people. They can't think out of the box to generate more internal revenue. While the Governments all over the world are cushioning the effect of inflation on the masses, they are rationing salaries among the people, knowing fully well the citizens can't even revolt. Our politicians live in a house built of gold with reckless abandon while the docile citizens continue to wallow in abject poverty. Shame |
KingOfAmebo:The US and NATO have laid down marker. Attack any NATO country or use chemical weapon in Ukraine and you will see see a response. Tell Russia to do either, then you will know where the real power lies. |
ken6488:If you don't mind please, can you be specific where there influence is reducing |
ken6488:I will be happy if you can educate me on the specifics that US reign is about to end. Currently, US is the richest nation on earth, the most oil producer of oil in the world and have the strongest military. Their military budget is the biggest in the world. Russian and china military budget combined does not reach half of the UD military budget. So tell me, how is their reign about to end |
Benite:Erelu Okin is officially a convict. The king needs to do the needful and take the title off her as she is not a good ambassador of the office. Double wahala for dead body ![]() |
Everyone has a plan till they get punched in the mouth.................Mike Tyson |
Idaytesj29:No reasonable leader will agree to those silly terms from Putin. Let's see who blinks first. |
GerogeI:Contract does not work that way. You can't unilaterally breach a contract you have previously agreed on. There's a process that needs to be followed to change a contract. Russia is risking big fine from the court of arbitration. You will see how it will play out |
M7even:Russia only has wishful thinking. Italy, the second biggest buyer of Russia oil has declined to pay in rubble. Germany has threatened to take Russia to court of arbitration. It is a contract and one man can't wake up to change the terms. This is purely business and Putin can't wake up to use EU to prop up its fast falling currency. |
M7even:You don't know how this works. For everything you buy, CBN guarantees the payment. It's not because you have naira equivalent, it is because CBN has enough to settle your bills in dollars. Nothing concerns the company abroad with your naira, CBN will make deduction from your naira account and settle your bills from the dollars in the reserve. That's why Govt discourages people from importing goods and services because you are putting pressure on the naira and reducing the dollars in the reserve. |
rajiedreez:and is the pipeline in use (Nord 2)? As it is, Russia pipeline passes through Ukraine to EU and Russia still pays Ukraine passage fee on that |
1x2x3:Both the west and Russia will suffer. West needs energy, Russia needs money. There is no way the west will get the roubles to pay for Russia oil. It means the west will walk away from Russia oil and oil price in the west will soar. Russia too will be broke, with the likelihood of Russia imploding. Read this to gain more insight, on it: https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.wsj.com/amp/articles/vladimir-putin-wants-europe-to-pay-for-gas-in-rubles-11648047487 |
WarriAproko:How will china help? They will buy cheap oil from Russia and settle in dollars? When they know there is existing sanction on that? China is afraid of backlash from the West. China won't risk her economy on saving Russia ass. And what's the volume of dollars that can replace what Russia has lost from the west? |
Great0ne1:Roubles will appreciate but useless without the dollars. Russians need to procure products and services from the west but the roubles can't be converted to dollars. Russians can't get all they need within their economy. Any gain from this move will be countered by the anticipated freeze on the Russia gold reserve being used to defend Roubles. The West are the master of the game |
3idiots:That's where you miss it. There's a sanction to stop Russia accessing dollars, if Russia asks to be paid in USD, they know it's NOT possible. Russia needs money by selling her oil and gas. Why don't you ask yourself why Russia doesn't stop selling her oil and gas to western nations totally? Because they need money! And country like India will only buy Russia oil at a discount. Reason! |
AroleOduduwa2:Half education is terrible. You are asking what Russia needs dollars for and by extension disgracing your ancestors in the cyber space. |
WarriAproko:You are missing the point. Imagine if roubles appreciate but Russia needs more dollars in their reserve to do many things which they are lacking now. It makes no sense. International transactions are settled in dollars. Let me tell you if you don't know, when you have million of naira in your account and you pay for your air flight using your bank card. The payment is honoured because the airline knows that Nigeria has enough dollars in her reserve to settle on your behalf through the CBN. If you are a billionaire in Nigeria and there is little or no money (USD) in the country reserves, attempt to pay for flight, education abroad and anything foreign, your payment will be declined because you can't settle your bills in naira, it's CBN that must settle on your behalf in dollars from the reserve. Russia is hurting badly, lack of access to dollars is a serious game changer |
somehow:My question was analytical not academic. Yours was broadly academic. Have a good day. |
spy24:Russia economy is in ruins. Putin admits it that sanction has decimated their economy. Focus on what happens after this war is over. Many European countries will wean themselves off Russia oil, more NATO presence in the Eastern flank of eu, sanctions will still remain to destroy the economy, Russia was the 12th wealthiest nation before the war, I can bet they will pushed down the ladder. If they seek loan in the international market, they will pay very high interest rate because their rating would have been affected when they default on their debt. Russia has less leverage on the west than the other way round. US is the largest producer of oil in the world, Saudi even comes second. |
somehow:Im sorry your questions are too academic and distracting from the main discourse. Google will become so handy for you Just explain why you think paying for gas in roubles will help Russia out of this self inflicted problem they are in. Apart from strengthening the roubles to a minimal degrees, it's useless internationally. And that's where their economic pains lie. |
naijapower:Russia needs dollars more than roubles. The west has shut them out from accessing dollars, which means they cant do transaction on an international stage. Putin has admitted Russia economy has been hit so hard, it is a matter of time before the people start serious protest. Imagine if Naira appreciates but you dont have access to dollars. You wont be able to pay for air ticket, school fees abroad, medical care abroad etc. It only makes sense if Nigeria is self sufficient, sadly no country is self sufficient. So, Russia will suffer so much |
Eguaikide:Sit this discourse out. This is beyond you. Rather, ask questions to understand how it works. |
Rastaramsey:Your perspective is myopic. No insult meant. Ukraine is a sovereign nation, and Russia has no right to be dictating to her. This is a fight for the soul of a nation. If Russia had not been a bully and has been nice to her neighbours, they wont think of aligning with the west. You bully me, and still impede me from having relationship with individuals that are friendly to me. Omo, we go die there. |

The Russians are superpowers on their own, so why would they want to store their reserves in the United States
