China has got what it takes to take over Taiwan in a week! You know absolutely nothing about the militaries of these countries. China has the men, the equipment, the technology and the funding! Moreover, China has the general support of her citizens to do this. It's also very important for you to understand that The Americans have very limited military abilities in Taiwan. Yes, they sell some sophisticated weapons to the Taiwanese, but over the last few years , as a very powerful China emerges, the Americans have systematically toned down the volume of their military sales and support Taiwan! They don't even like placing serious military hardwares in Taiwan in recent times..

The reasons for this are obvious; China has made herself a very lucrative partner to the Western world economically. America and the west have made more money from china than they will ever make from Taiwan. China is almost a 2 billion population market! What is Taiwans? China has long range intercontinental ballistic missiles, China has shot down settilites from the orbit! Hope you know what that means in case of a war with a fellow super power? China has an international space station. China has anti plane carrier missiles! China has....., Man! Don't let me start.. China won't invade Taiwan but that's because of economic reasons, not necessarily because of military reasons. You guys used to say the same thing about Hong Kong but today who calls the shots there? Beijing!

China hasn't even reached its full potentials yet, and the USA has started losing its balance. The sooner they (the US) realizes that they're playing with fire with taiwan, the better for them. It's not too late to beg China for forgiveness. Starting with publicly admitting that they won't recognize Taiwan sovereignty is a good start, Because the recession that is currently looming would befall them within the blinking of an eye with just one sanction from the Chinese.

I have been an active member on this forum for the past eight years. I just created this account to bring this issue to limelight. Good evening gentlemen and ladies. I got married in late 2020. God being merciful, we are blessed with a baby of 5 months. My wife has been giving me attitudes of recent. I have tried to find out what the problem has been, she is not saying anything tangible. I am being confused and depressed. I have been begging her to come back to join me after delivery. She keeps traumazing me emotionally. She just told me our marriage is over. She couldn't say what the problem is.

She has not been taking care of the baby. She was medically advised to stop breastfeeding our baby permanently. Is not that she breastfeeds our baby. My mother in-law and sisters in-law have been complaining about her lack of motherly treats.

They told me she doesn't even know how to take care of the baby. They cannot allow my child to be in her custody because she can't take care of the baby as a mother. She has fought her mother for asking her to leave her house to join her husband. Every member of her family has been asking her what the problem is. She keeps telling them to come and marry me that it's over between us.

I haven't told any of my family members or my friends of what is going on in my marriage. I am a kind of person that do not like involving a third party in my new marriage of lest than two years.

Her family has never supported her actions. Her mom and her siblings have been asking me to come take my wife and baby. But, my wife is not ready to join me. It has been a serious issues in her family house each time they push her to go meet her husband.

Her family has ask me to come with some soldiers or the police to come carry my baby and leave her since she claims she is no longer interested in any marriage. I have been trying my best to make sure my wife never lacked anything during her pregnancy and even after delivery.

My in-laws have been very supportive and good to me. I know they have never and will not support her for her wrong actions and behaviors. My challenge is, my baby is just 5 months and I don't want to take the baby to my parents because of the questions people around will be asking. I don't want to be seen as someone who is separated from his wife. I hate divorce with passion. My wife does not have any concrete reason why she decides to stay off our marriage.

Her family is fully in support of my next actions of going to take my baby. Now, the question is this; is it advisable to keep the baby with me while I employ a nanny to raise the baby with me?

Please and please I need mature and sensible advise.

Biden isn’t a weakling - he’s just a face of the power brokers and powerful force that run the US - just like every other US president. It’s by design and US presidents are mostly controlled puppets. Obama also wasn’t the one running things when he was the US president.

It’s also a misconception that the US was feared by all. That’s just make-believe like Hollywood movies. Those who fear the US are European countries and 3rd world countries. Countries like Russia and China have never feared the US. The US just never really troubled them until now. And what they’re doing now is basically reacting to American threats on their borders.

People tend to forget the poor China was the one that did most of the fighting during the Korean War against the US and allied countries and the Chinese technically won that war (but it’s regarded as a stalemate officially). And that was the US at its peak militarily because it was vastly superior to every other country on earth militarily (save for the Soviet Union) and China at its lowest both militarily and economically. So why would a country that pulled that off fear the US? And Americans have always been weary of Russia because it inherited almost everything Americans feared about the Soviets.

Regardless, NATO needs to be really scared. No NATO country has fought a country as strong as Ukraine on the ground since the end of WW2. Fighting defenceless goat herders is different from fighting a formidable peer military that has a lot of support. And Russia is currently doing that with a fraction of its military (less than 10%) despite being outnumbered by 4:1 and they’re achieving results (despite initial setbacks) whilst rotating forces to get the needed frontline experience and tactical battlefield awareness. Combine that with the Chinese and US + NATO countries don’t stand a chance in a real shooting match.

600k Monthly Take home in naija is actually nothing. I have been there, done that. That's not much.

I relocated to the UK February this year, I make over 700k weekly here. In some cases, over 800k. I can send you my payslips if you doubt me.

Truth is, If you are very hardworking and you know how to think outside the box, you will definitely make it in UK. Money dey this Country sha as far as you are ready to put in the work and cover as much shifts as possible.

I came in with a dependent visa cos my wife is a Student. Hence, I don't have restrictions when it comes to work hours I wish to work/cover.

This Country na for hustlers. As in, na for people wen get strength and energy to hustle. One good thing is that, we are being paid weekly.

But the truth is, abroad isn't for everyone. If you no fit hustle for naija, e go hard for you to fit hustle here. In other words, if you lazy for naija, you go lazy here too.

Be that as it may, moving to UK is not a decision every hardworking Nigerian would regret.

NB: If you come in with student visa, your work hours tends to be restricted though. Hence, I will advise your spouse should apply via student visa route, and you guys should come together so that you will have enough time to hustle since your visa wouldn't have work hours restrictions.

And again, I think the money you are able to make here is also a function of your location/city. There are places where their hourly pay rate isn't quite high but you will still have made some millions in naira at the end of the month.

Personally, relocating to the UK was one the best decisions I have made in life. No regret.

I need una inputs, I tried scanning through nairaland threads and I am getting more of technicalities and rules lol. I need real experiences. As everybody around me dey japa so I decided to give it a thought. I work with a fintech company and net a little over =N=600k monthly. I am considering relocating to either UK,Germany,New Zealand, Australia or Canada. I am married with four kids. They said study route is the best .

A few of my colleagues that travelled just dey dull my ginger. My Oga who nets over 750k, we spoke today and he is considering a security man job, and claims net pay is over 2M monthly. Biko I cannot come and kill myself.

My friend, we spoke this evening and he responded oboy make I no lie you, na shit i dey pack for here, the good news is they say it will always get better with time. What if person no come eventually become citizen, is it a must you go become citizen.

I don talk to over 10 persons today and they all saying everything is though. Me I don't like stress, where me and wify go dey overwork just dey pay bills. Ofcourse I no get strength for menial jobs, make one oyibo use me take dey shine lol....

I no get any exceptional skill, I be sales man ooo.

Would you advise I still gamble and go with family abi make I hold my job oooo.

Please, I would welcome suggestions and advise.

US has decided to keep emerging powers or enemies busy by instigating problems in their backyard while they blow empty air from afar. The two warring countries and their neighbors become the victims.
Russia has been kept very busy with Ukraine while Ukraine gets bombarded, now they are looking for a way to also keep China busy
