Hii Ejadadi,

Yes, they are freely available for now because it is being run in beta version. In the future, definitely subscription fee will be charged.
It will be worth it considering the technical input that must have gone into the development of the web services. I have integrated it into my appication so ar , and I must say it is working like a magic.

The only thing that you can do in return for now is to document your observation on the perfromance of the web services and pass your message across to the developers. We are test running the wonderful web services for now.

Al the best!.

This is becoming one too many. This was a guy that went to court , and not resorted to violence, to claim his mandate.

Our police force are so useless. There was attack on one of the deceased's entourage cars parked outside the court's premise in Ibadan. The windscreen of the car was smashed and the police were saying they came to secure the court premise and not what was beyond it.

They should have seen this coming and beef security around this man.

Nordic Race "the briton",  stop being ignorant.  You need to re-verify your claim.

It amazes me the kind of energy you are dissipating over this issue, what do you expect the "white" to do?. You can only be a british, you can never be english. Get that into your head! tongue

Even BNP refers to people like you as "people who are not genetically british". You are not wanted in that country, (despite your supposedly "british" passport that you are carrying) as much as the african immigrants that you are insulting. Watch your back, BNP is coming . tongue

Rescued Banks: EFCC seizes Ibru’s 103 properties
By Chiawo Nwankwo and Everest Amaefule, Published: Monday, 18 Jan 2010

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on Sunday released a list of 103 choice properties allegedly belonging to a former Managing Director of Oceanic Bank International Plc, Mrs. Cecilia Ibru, and affirmed that the said properties remained seized.

The commission had earlier seized the properties and shares linked to her in 27 companies, including banks, oil and gas, telecommunications, aviation as well as real estates and manufacturing firms.

The anti-graft agency claimed that some of the properties were bought with funds belonging to Oceanic Bank.

Details showed that the choice properties were in Nigeria, South Africa, Dubai, London and the United States.

The document entitled Economic and Financial Crimes Commission in the matter of Oceanic Bank Plc, stated that the notice of attachment of assets/properties was pursuant to Section 28 of the EFCC Act, 2004.

The EFCC warned the Registrars of Titles/Deeds in Lagos and Rivers States and the Federal Capital Territory not to sell any of the said properties without its authorisation.

It also advised the Central Securities Clearing System, Nigerian Stock Exchange, all capital market operators, estate agents, surveyors and valuers, banks and non-financial institutions and other persons who might be connected with the listed properties and shares.

The Caveat Emptor dated January 16 was signed by the EFCC Chairman, Mrs. Farida Waziri.

It reads, “Notice is further given that it is an offence punishable under Section 32 of the EFCC Act, 2004 with imprisonment for a term of five years without option of fine to deal with, sell or otherwise dispose of this attachment without the authorisation of the commission. You have been warned.”

Apparently, the EFCC’s action was in furtherance of its prosecution of Ibru under whose watch Oceanic Bank allegedly granted N278bn non-performing loans, according to the Central Bank of Nigeria.

She was sacked by the CBN along with managing directors of four other banks on August 14, 2009 for a combined N747bn toxic loans.

THE PUNCH had on December 22, 2009 exclusively reported that the commission had discovered 11 properties in Maryland, United States allegedly owned by Ibru, most of which were registered in family members’ names.

The 11 properties have a combined worth of $5,457,483.

Out of the 11 properties, three were acquired in her name and they are: 11300 Dappled Grey Way, Upper Marlboro Maryland, with the price tag of $987,949. It was allegedly purchased on October 7, 2008.

According to the EFCC, properties traced to her in Nigeria are 51 and are located mainly in Lagos, Abuja and Port Harcourt.

The Lagos properties are in Ikoyi, Victoria Island, Lekki Peninsula, and Dophin Estate.

They include a 12-storey tower on a one-hectare of land at Ozumba Mbadiwe Water Front, Victoria Island and a multiple-storey user block of flats under construction on 1st Avenue, Banana Island, Ikoyi, Lagos.

Another is the Good Shepherd House, IPM Avenue, opposite Alausa Secretariat, but registered in the name of Ogekpo Estate Managers.

Besides, the commission discovered one million square metres of land in Lekki, 8,000 square metres of land at Okunade Water Front, Lekki Penninsula, another 7,000 square metres, another 15,000 square metres in the same Okunade Water Front.

In Abuja, some of the choice properties traced to Ibru are Metro Plaza building 991/992 Zakariya Maimalari Street, Central Area, Zone 5, a four-storey building at Herbert Macaulay Way, Wuse, Metro Plaza Annexe B, Zakariya Maimalari Street and flats 1-4 Block D33, Abuja Games Village.

In Port Harcourt are three residential towers in the GRA and a property at 22, Sani Abacha Way, also in the GRA.

Also, in Dubai, Ibru allegedly owns 28 shops at International City Building, while residential properties are seven.

For South Africa, the EFCC stated, “Residential properties purchased with the funds of Oceanic Bank International Plc, through Accustrat (Pty) Limited, Meha Real Estate, Scharde Designs PTY Limited and Vakson Freehold Properties.”

Others are 4141 Chariot Way; Upper Marlboro Maryland valued at $441,790 but acquired on April 13, 2009; and 4143, Chariot Way; with the price of $439,362, also acquired the same day.

Six other properties are in the name of two females, while two properties had the name of two males, all bearing Ibru.

Particulars of property linked to other family members are: 4155 Chariot Way, Upper Marlboro, Maryland ($452,508) acquired on March 12, 2009.

4145 Chariot Way, Upper Marlboro, Maryland ($440,105) secured on April 14, 2009 and 4139 Chariot Way, Upper Marlboro, Maryland ($451,629) got on April 21, 2009.

Others include 14605 Hawley Lane; Upper Maryland ($399,999) dated July 22, 2008, and 14630 Hawley Lane, Upper Marlboro, Maryland ($460,703) dated May 17, 2008.

The rest are 14721 Argos Place, Upper Marlboro, Maryland ($457, 950) dated October 28, 2008 and 14719 Argos Place, Upper Marlboro, Maryland valued at $451,840 dated November 26.

However, Ibru is challenging her removal as the CEO of Oceanic Bank in court just as she pleaded not guilty to the charges the EFCC brought against her.

Her share holding in other banks include 272,795,139 in First Bank and Access bank with 44,800,000 shares.

The First Bank shares are held through Cloudy Heights Limited, Circular Global International Limited and Bliss Bloss Integrated Services Limited.

Fidelity Bank shares number 12,500, First City Monument Bank, 7,142,800, Guarantee Trust bank, 110,000 ordinary shares, Bank PHB 93,800,100, UBA 109,121, Union Bank 13,300,000 and Zenith Bank, 10.280million.

Oceanic Bank shares are in quantum, just as she allegedly has shares in Dangote Sugar Refinery, Glaxo SmithKline Consumer Plc, Nestle Plc, Oando Plc, African Petroleum Plc, Dangote Flour Plc and Unilever Nigeria Plc.

An EFCC source who asked not to be named claimed that N235bn had been traced to Ibru.

He explained that the need to recover the money informed the agency’s decision to go after the properties.

Believe me, they will. Terrorism and internal affairs of a nation are linked together. Poverty can easily lure a citizen to do what he might not ever think of doing in his life time.

I bet I will fire the first salvo to some foreign embassies tomm, and will feel justified for contributing my own quota. Let's declare wars on these corrupt officials without the use of weapon! wink

Will these embassies oblige?
At least let us try it out. There is no harm in trying. It's a good way of using our idle time to contribute to the development of our nation. Let the letter start to flow (either hard copy or email).

We can even mention particlualrs names in our letter and make reference to how he/she has enriched himself/herself by shortchanging the people. I can bet that after what happened with the US intelligence onAbdul-muttalab, every mail will be treated with utmost caution by the intelligence officers at the various embassies.

This is a good development. Even the governor deserves to have his visa revoked !. Why will the governor be attending the same conference with his special adviser on Agriculture ?. There are pressing issues in the state and the adviser can always come back to brief him.

Thank to the United States for helping to plug another hole in the budget !

P.S: I think we can start writting to the different embassies, in our own individual capacities, on the need for the embassies to start verifying the importance of a trip to the government official's portfolio. Most of their trips are needless and only meant for money laundering.
PoliticsRe: Up Akala: Oyo To Renovate 4 Hospitals With N4.6bn by MT: 4:28pm On Jan 17, 2010
Why is it that Tribune Newspaper suddenly turn the mouthpiece of Akala ?. I have observed that after Tribune Newspaper reported the 9million plus (the remainder of the amount she took to party to spray embarassed) in raw cash that armed robbers stole from Akala's daughter's car boot which generated a lot of controversy between the Tribune Newspaper and Oyo State Govt,  ever since , Tribune Newspaper had been "indirectly " serving as the platform for this useless governor to project his non-existing image.

This case has ever been swept under the carpet, without Tribune Newspaper pursuing the case to its logical conclusion as it would have been done in some nations.

Does that mean that Tribune Newspaper (Awolowo's paper) had been bought over by this pig of a Governor ?. This was the same governor who banned the sales of the Punch Newspaper in  Oyo State after they reported him as the worst performing governor in Nigeria.

Press should be at the vanguard of liberty and not against it. I am so dissapointed in Tribune Newspaper!.

PS: I knew the poster referenced thisdayonline, but tribune newspaper had been partisan in the way they report anything as touching Akala. I sent them a mail regarding my observation which they refused to even reply.

@Alloy-Emeka :Why not give him time and see what he will achieve with it instead of calling him a slowpoke before hand.
This is my state and I know what is happening. Akala is just trying to score cheap political points. This is not the first time he would vote money for renovation of hospital. He did the same to Adeoyo at Yemetu and billions of money were flushed down the drain. Go to Adeoyo and you will see what I am taking about.

Akala lacks the intellectual depth to implement the project. It is purely a 419 project, all towards his 2nd term campaign which has engrossed him. He just wants to "enrich" some political associates via the contract and the state will end up poorer!

@sophywill

Actually the Gov. has tried, comparing him to other past governors. I strongly support him.

Akala is such a fool. People are free to see the shoddy "renovation" he did at Adeoyo Yemetu Ibadan. It's a disaster and billions were flushe the drain.

Akala is looking for cheap money to run his second term campaign big time, and so there will be many more contracts to be awarded.

Ogbeni Akala, stop deceiving us with "fake" contract, just dip your bleached hands into the treasury and loot as you are noted for. Idiot!

This is an update on the NSE web services still at beta version being developed by Gomez. Gomez is a very wonderful person and I am personally impressed that we are having professionals that are developing web services instead of the normal database application. So far, I have devloped a SOAP client that is consuming the web services and so far everything is running smoothly.

We are still communicating and they are really doing a marvellous job on the development of their web services. This is just an update of a work in progress.

I will still keep you posted as events unfold. Once again, thanks Gomez for such a professional job.

Well let me introduce my governor to you, Otunba Adebayo Alao Christopher ALAKALA (Bad Dream).

Alao Akala will always delegate someone to represent him in any event that will impact meaningfully into the lifes of the ordinary citizen of Oyo state. The only explanation I can offer for this is that he is not intelligent enough to make a positive contribution in such events.

However, my governor will be the first attendant in any party (including a day old child burial ceremony). He once carried his birthday party train to US, Dublin, London and Canada, with his cooks, maids etc all at the expense of taxpayers money.

Visit Oyo State and see how Akala has messed up the place. The only achievement he has been consistently pointing to is renovation of Mapo Hall, an over-bloated contract that he awarded to Adedibu, his godfather. Even, should Mapo Hall be his priority considering the poverty that is ravaging Oyo state ?.

To make matter worse, the fool is planning to govern the state for the second time. His overfed cheek like alsatian dog in Ankara outfit will make you throw up in all the billboards that now litter the nooks & cranies of Oyo State for his second term campaign.

http://www.ngrguardiannews.com/sports/article03//indexn2_html?pdate=151109&ptitle=FIFA Confirms Over Age Players

FIFA Confirms Over Age Players From Christian Okpara, Abuja

World Football governing body, FIFA, yesterday in Abuja confirmed that there were players over the age limit participating at the on-going Nigeria 2009 Under-17 World Cup.

Speaking during a world press conference at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel, FIFA President, Sepp Blatter, said the MRI test conducted on the players at the competition indicated that most of the players were over 17 years, adding that the average age of the teams in Nigeria was 18 years.
He, however, added that FIFA would not take any action against any team for fielding players above 17 years.

He said, "From the medical point of view the MRI test is the best way of finding out the true ages of players in age group competitions. Our organization is based on trust, discipline and respect for the laws of the game.

"We have to trust our national associations to eradicate things like cheating in competitions because at the end of the day the associations stand to gain from doing the right thing. We have started trusting African associations by bringing more competitions to the continent. We in FIFA have confidence in Africa. But if we cannot trust the associations to do things the way they should then we have to look into ways of getting it bright."
Blatter reiterated belief in age group competition serving as the nursery for future international stars, adding that the body would look at the competition properly after Nigeria 2009 with a view to finding a fool proof method of ensuring that every association adhered strictly to the rules.

Blatter disclosed that FIFA held a meeting yesterday where the issue of cheating was discussed, adding that "we are taking the issue to the technical committee to see how we can manage the situation so that it does not disrupt our programmes of development. Our aim is that players will graduate from the under-17 level through under-20 and under23 to the senior cadre. But we need the associations' help in achieving this.

"The issue of over age players is closed; we are not going to look at it again. Countries like Nigeria are responsible for their players and if they have said that all the players are eligible then we will accept their word for that."
