There has always been an uprising. Between 1999-2003 the struggle for resource control was at its climax. I still remember then, the former governor of Akwa Ibom - Obong Victor Attah and some other South South governors fought tooth and nail to ensure the region controlled it's resources. This is actually another dimension driven by a younger population. If the struggle of then could yield only 13%... A diffrent approach has to be taken to get better results. The Niger Delta want to control their resources just as every other region is doing.
I don't support the idea of having a sovereign state, but if that is part of their agitation - they have their exclusive right to do so. It's the wearer of the shoes that knows where it incomvienices him the most.

Dude, one thing you should understand is that election is the most important thing to any politician's life anywhere. I'm not saying this because I'm a PDP member but Jonathan really tried his best. The entire people around him were sceptical of his government from day 1, adding the insurgency in the north that crippled his government. As the elections were approaching, Jonathan trusted no one and the only card he had to play was buying loyalty. He intelligently directed all dash dash to dasuki as the purpose of the money he had was hanging.. These pictures were taken today along the road in Nenzev ward in Logo LGA Benue State. The entire ward is on the run from fulani attack.

If you can support to bring peace to this ward please do something. The situation is very bad.

They are all heading towards Ugba town the headquarters of the LGA, many of them need to cover 16 to 30 killometers to reach Ugba.

Pray for this people before you go to bed tonight.

This is sad, though I am pro - buhari and believe things will get better, this is one area where this administration has really pissed me off, so gutted right now. How will bubu just fold his arms and watch without any action plan. It may sound shallow but I think the president has a soft spot for this killer cowboys.

First of all all land belong to the federal government (that's the constitution)
The North can't claim Niger Delta oil that's foolishness, just as Niger Deltans can't claim the farm lands in the North
But it doesn't mean that a northern can't invest in Niger Delta oil (every body with money can, all human race).. .. just as me as an igbo man can acquire 200,000 hectares of land in the North and farm on it if I have the money and the interest
To produce oil from a well u need to invest atleast $500 million and a group of people invest that or more to build infrastructure to produce oil... sale give ur government there 55% and use the remaining to pay staffs and the rest and even still pay ur chiefs and now u want them to just hand it over to you cos it's ur oil??
How will u feel, going to the north to farm and after farming the youth set ur farms on fire and ask u to leave or the burn the whole farms

How do you know who these people were voting for? What in these pictures tells us this was a presidential election? What makes you feel people never voted PDP in the north? Who told you the PDP in the north do not compromise elections? How many states do you know the APC was controlling in the north before the general elections and what made you think the several PDP governors and various PDP candidates in House of Reps, governorship and senate elections could not have compromised the elections?
