FamilyRe: AWidow That Didn't Visit Me When I Gave Birth Expects Christmas Money From Me by Mumben(f): 1:02pm On Dec 29, 2023
Op, pls give her for the sake of the blessings you'll get for your kindness to a widow, but make sure you let her know you are not happy she hasn't come to visit your new baby. Haba, how much is #500 that she can't spare to come and see the newborn?

I am experiencing something similar, though in my own case we relocated to a new environment last year close to where my husband's elder brother lives. D distance between our houses is trekkable if you have the strength but u can enter Bike #100. Last year Dec, we visited them with our kids and I also visited again after that but up till now more than a year, the wife has not visited us, the husband visited once. I av decided to remain in my house abeg, love is not by force. I don't know maybe because she is far older than me, I must always do the visiting

FamilyRe: Madu Anthonia Obianuju Nonuplets: Nairalanders, I Need Help To Confirm This by Mumben(f): 1:06pm On Sep 01, 2023
Evestar200:
Please I want people who live in Akwa Ibom or know this woman to confirm this report for me.

A friend of mine who is a journalist in Cameroon said a Nigerian woman named Madu Anthonia Obianuju gave birth to Nonuplets ( Nine Children) and she is currently in Cameroon.

According to my friend, the Cameroon officials want to confirm if what she said about giving birth to the Children is true because it wasn't reported in Nigeria and they are suspicious of her.

According to the Nigerian Woman, she gave birth to Nonuplets at the General Hospital in Iquita Oron LGA in Akwa Ibom State in March 2023 and returned to Cameroon in July 2023.

Anyone who knew her or lives in Oron and knows the General Hospital should please confirm the information above if the Woman is telling the truth.

During the interview, she said she gave birth vaginally to all nine babies, ahh I doubt it oh. Apart from twins or triplets, I have never heard that multiples to the tune of nine can be delivered vaginally. Nairaland mums can attest to the fact that delivering one baby is hard labour oh talk more of nine. This smells fishy but I may be wrong though

Well even though my dad happens to be a director with one of the A-list agencies. I still feel ashamed asking him for money. Currently undergoing my masters tho. but nothing beats earning your own money no matter how small.
There are stuffs he tells me thats infuriating worst of all i'm sharing the same roof with them. No respect at all
Does a director not have power to get you a job in the agency? Talk to him about it

I don't know if this will help you but I know someone who applied for mgt trainee, went for in house test, passed, went for 4 days camping which also entails test morning and evening for 4 days. After it all, he was offered a job as a brand retail executive. Pay is 90k though he rejected the offer cos he got a better offer elsewhere. I think mgt trainee will get a higher pay. Good luck

HealthRe: Help My Child Is Dying Slowly ( Photo) by Mumben(f): 1:57pm On Jan 10, 2023
Op, it's teething. When my son was around 5 months old, he started stooling and vomiting at d same time, I was so scared then cos anything he eats, he immediately starts stooling and vomiting.

He became so weak, I took him to asokoro general hospital where doctor prescribed some antibiotics and antimalarial and ORS.

Remove fear because it's not going to stop abruptly, it's a gradual process, but I assure you, he'll be fine. Let me also inform you that during the course of the treatment was when I noticed 3 teeth coming out from the gum.

Pls, never you give him any drug that claims to stop diarrhea like DIASTOP. It will result to bloated stomach. Ensure he is well hydrated, give him ors always. Your son will be fine

FamilyPrivate School Teachers, Come In by Mumben(op): 9:33am On Jan 06, 2023
Good morning N'lders, I have always wondered if there is any form of discount given to teachers' kids who are schooling in the same school they are teaching.

The purpose of this thread is to get insights into what is obtainable in these private schools as a teacher.

If you are a teacher or know someone who is a teacher, please share your experience so others can be better informed when considering the teaching proffession.

Many of you saying "we were fed that way"
I almost lost my son to this barbaric act some years ago when I left him under a woman's care. I gave her the feeding bottle and milk oh but this woman chose to force-feed my son. Along, d line, the boy started choking and wasn't responding anymore.
God so kind, a woman who saw her struggling with d child intervened with palm kernel oil and some other things to revive him.
Mothers should stop this act, it is suicidal.

EducationRe: Who Is To Blame For This Childs Low Performance? Teacher, Patents Or The Direct by Mumben(f): 4:37pm On Dec 07, 2022
I don't blame you one bit, just like you rightly pointed out, the reading culture in our educational system has died completely. Parents are not helping matters at all. School owners only care about their pockets and so they expect teachers to perform magic on the students to make them pass at all cost.

If I were you, I wouldn't take it to heart knowing fully well that you've done your part and so leave the rest. The bulk of the blame should go to the parents. If you see well bred children, you'll know. Even if they are not so intelligent, you'll see the eagerness in them to learn and it will motivate the teacher to even go the extra mile for that kid. Abeg make I stop here
