B11la2b: If u are a south easterner i have a question for you .. what happens to the Biafra agitation if the next president to Nigeria comes from your region ? The agitations will continue with or without Igbo president. This is what I always tell those foolish Igbos who campaign for presidency. Let me ask you 1) Is it normal for someone to choose a presidency of 8 years over having your own country? It's stupidity. It's just like you prefer working in a company than owning your own company. We are not even sure of the presidency, not to talk of 8years 2) So if we finally get presidency and rule for 8years, so what happens next? Let me tell you, another fulani worse than Buhari will climb the seat and only God knows what that one will do. Then we'll chant Biafra again? |
Politics › Re: RE:78% Of Girls In Northern Nigeria Marry Before Age 18-the Hypocrisy Of The by Muna4real(f): 8:19am On Nov 13, 2021 |
NoSentiment: Let me go straight to the point.
I have been to almost all southern Nigerian cities from Lagos, Port Harcourt, to Onitsha.
In all of these cities and villages i visited, most southern Nigerian girls from primary school age "know men".
Yet, today I observed many southern Nigerian commenters on the above caption about northern girls under the age of 18 being married off with sanctimonious indignation.
Are these southern Nigerians unaware of the fornication going on among their sisters/daughters/nieces of primary/secondary school age or do they simply want to be hypocritical about it?
Otherwise, how can a man who lives in Lagos, Ibadan, Onitsha, PH, Owerri, Yenagoe has the temerity to put on a cassock and mount a pulpit to pontificate about fornication or even adultery? Haba, my compatriots from the South and East, let this hypocrisy stops please. I'm sorry to say this but you're a fool. Why is it that when this issue is brought up, you northerners would begin to refer to immorality in the south as a base and ticket for child marriage and exploitation? Are you not stupid like this? |

The successful election in anambra prove my point . Is it your chest they are beating? You can go and beat your own chest and leave others to do their own. |

Politics › Re: Aisha Yesufu's Brilliant Advice On APGA/IPOB Alliance by Muna4real(f): 10:52pm On Nov 10, 2021 |
davodyguy: Imagine if IPOB work with APGA to control the political power in the South East? Bring the best candidates to be nominated. Show the rest of us how people with competence, character and capacity in leadership position can change a region.
Use the power to negotiate at Fed level An APGA/IPOB alliance can bring the South East together politically. Instead of IPOB wasting it's goodwill on giving sit at home orders they can make it nominate and vote credible candidates "order"
Political power is everything! Without it you are a pawn to be treated anyhow
With that power you can negotiate with any party wanting to win Presidential elections and give the terms for your alliance. Any party interested in winning the region must be ready to meet your terms. That way no party takes the region for granted as belonging to one party.
Everyone knows that South East is for PDP at the Presidential level. It shouldn't be so. S/E should be for whichever party is ready to give South East the best deal! Use your political might to negotiate. Let PDP sweat for it too.
That way South East is not a given to any party You can make South East an APGA party at National Assembly, Gubernatorial and House of Assembly elections. Plus local government elections. When it comes to Presidecy you form an alliance with any party that is ready to meet your terms and give the best to the South East.
Other regions can see the APGA/IPOB alliance working and emulate. When there are diff parties whose interest is their region first and then they form alliance with any party at the Presidential level, the regionalisation we are yearning for will begin to happen by fire by force
Imagine an APGA/IPOB political alliance waxing strong and emulated in all the different region!
The different regions can control the legislative arm of government and be able to align to get things done! You want a referendum? Ensure we have a constitution that has one! You want Biafra Republic, some want Oduduwa Republic, others want Middle belt Republic and some still it is South South Republic they want. Fine!
Get strong regional parties. Send your candidates to the National Assembly and State Houses of Assembly. You can by pass a President!
If the legislative members of the South East, South West, South South and North Central come together won't you be able to get that restructuring faster than waiting for a President to give you? Being in the trenches and fighting will give you the adrenaline but political power will give you the control!
The regional political parties can have a candidate joining national parties to contest for Presidential elections.
https://threadreaderapp.com/thread/1458422990622924802.html I don't see anything brilliant about her advice. How does a region with the lowest number of senators table the matter of Biafra in the senate and have a high number of supporters? Imagine a supposed terrorist group contesting for elections, have she advised boko boys to enter politics? She's just talking rubbish. |

Slavishbenin: I mean even if presidency is zoned to the SE how will the election be won since the most populous state in the south east had a total of 230k votes.
Truth is that the igbo tribe is in a deep mess politically, they can't get Biafra and can't rule Nigeria. It's only South South that can help igbos achieve a country by aligning but the average south south people are more igbophobic than the north So what's your point exactly? You're not making sense |

jmoore: Rights of foreign lawyers/firms
Foreign lawyers practising in Nigeria must have been admitted to the Nigerian Bar.
Without admission, a foreign lawyer cannot practise law in Nigeria except to a limited extent where he/she obtains a warrant from the Chief Justice for the purposes of a specific proceeding or appeals arising from such proceedings (see above, Temporary services ).
In Nigeria, firms are a vehicle for organising legal practice but not as legal personalities being capable of practising law (Okafor v Nweke (2007) 10 NWLR (Pt 1043) 521 ).
Only lawyers can practise law, so foreign law firms as such cannot practise law in Nigeria. Foreign lawyers must pass the Nigerian bar exams to practise law in Nigeria. You people are funny. So because a foreign lawyer came, the case was adjourned? Are you saying the case won't be adjourned if the lawyer didn't come? And judgement would be passed? |

Listen, women meet men everyday and we can't just be giving out our contact to every guy. These guys will begin to disturb you every day and night. Sometimes,5 guys can ask you for your number in just a day.If you give them your contact, you cannot sleep at night. How about the guys you met in the previous days before? There was a time when I was chatting with 5 guys at once. Before I've finished with one, another will video call me. I had to stop it. Imagine 7 different guys demanding your attention. |

agabaI23: I was reading through the comments on this thread
https://www.nairaland.com/6839142/bbnaijas-erica-gets-new-range and I was amazed.
The level of frustration, ignorance, self defeatism and envy displayed was palpable and I wanted to put this down. I am not sure it will help any of those kids but I pray they will learn a thing or two. Assuming Erica is Idle and has been doing nothing since BBNAIJA and had nothing before BBNAIJA:
1.Erica left the house and was given $73,000 by her fans 2. On her birthday, the fans bought a mansion in Lekki 3. On her birthday, the fans gave her $10,000 worth of stocks in Amazon, Tesla, Disney and United Airlines. Go check how much Tesla alone appreciated in the last few months 4. Look at that dollar cake, how much do you think that is? 5. A group gave her 10 million on her birthday
But Erica has been working her ass out 1. See attached for the number of endorsements. Even if they pay her only 1 million each? But we know that she is the hottest brand influencer in Nigeria and she is paid a lot for it. 2. Erica's devil in Agbada was the second highest grossing in Nigeria Box office with 41.5 million. Was she paid for her leading role? 3. She has released bitter rain and other projects
You should do a research on her past before BBN.
Now do you really think that Erica needs her cl*t to buy a range sport? No she does not. Erica can buy you as a sex slave if that is what she needs.
Stop tarring everyone with one brush.

BluntCrazeMan: Congrats To Ndị Anambra. .. Even the Supreme Court Judgements cannot bring in the candidate who came third to become the winner this time. .. The early analyses of the individually computed results by the separate parties tallied closely with what INEC is declaring Officially. .. The discrepancies in the computed results and the announced results are not much, and can be easily ignored. .. Save for that cooked-up Ihiala LGA Result, which was cancelled all the same. .. Generally there were no elections in Ihiala LGA, so there are not supposed to be results from there. .. From the early analyses, it can be concluded that INEC did a good job. .. (Meanwhile, that would not stop us from doing some deeper analysis of the whole results later, when INEC must have released the whole results and then release their breakdown of the results and their own INEC’s official analysis of the election) Relax. What happened to IMO didn't happen immediately after the elections. It happened six months after the winner was declared!! |

It's always like this for every state that has its elections different from the general elections. It was like that in Ekiti and ogun state elections.
