Gbawe: No doubt OBJ could be verbally abusive in a bullying manner towards the press but when , even at the heights of his brutishness , was he ever petty and vindictive enough to have the SSS monitor the movement of diasporan-based journalists to the exent that , upon their entry into Nigeria at MMIA , they are picked up and locked up without charge and without access to their family and legal representative !!!! OBJ is no doubt a monster but Yar Adua is one also- and perhaps worse . He has hounded pressmen and ignored their fundamental human rights far more , in 2 years , than OBJ did in his entire tenure as a democratic President !!!! Ask any sincere Nigerian journalist wether they were better off under OBJ or Yar Adua and see the response you will get.
Better yet , and seeing as this is the information age , why not email the editor of Saharareporters, pointblanknews ,elendureporters, channels television and Sam Nda-Isaiah (leadership Nigerian news) to ask them who is more malevolent towards the Nigerian press i.e OBJ or Yar Adua . Please paste whatever response you receive here on Nairaland . yeah, i think i'm convinced enough to succumb to your intellectualism, i salute your experience, but, still, his families are to be left out of the whole issue, especially the kids |

Gbawe: Yar Adua has already done worse than OBJ in terms of cowering and bullying the media I'm afraid you are wrong with that statement Please, I'm sure Yar'adua can never do up to 1/10th of what OBJ has done, come to think of it, a whole President harrasing journalist, and telling them off point blank on tv, It's a shame But really, his families should not be kept waiting It's just too unfair and unreasonable |

rasputinn: I was prepared to watch the match, however at the office I detected something very fishy with my joint financial records with a so-called partner on a big-enough-ticket project who had been diverting funds,I was too annoyed and too busy straightening out the figures with my accountant that they finished the first half of the match and I didn't care a hoot,as a matter of fact,my office TV set was switched off,I've never felt so betrayed. After the account balancing,I just decided to go straight home where I had a cold shower and slept
From the result of the game,I guess I didn't miss much, however I'm not dissppointed in Siasia.IMO he's still the best coach 9ja has got presently I'm happy for you, it'll would have been a mere waste of time and resource You had the best out of your day without that match, it was more like hell for them |

i can't imagine myself living in a country that has no future for its' youth, but i find myself in it anyway, the trend decreases as it aged, and there's no sign of nigeria developing in the year 2020, it's only a dream, we'll all soon wake up. verily, the generation before us has failed, it's a pity, :-x. but the big question is, how won't our generation fail? |

When i joined on tuesday, this week, nl, my first encounter was with an idiot, but now, i can see there are actually more intellectuals on nl than are idots nuzo: Most of you here are not more than a staunch Nigeria critic than I am. The only problem is you guys seem to be enjoying the notoriety your names have attracted to the extent that you've allowed your once unbiased and objective stance drift away.
I get it. . . . . . . Why stop, if it makes you sleep well at night. this is simply reasonable, no abusive statement, no expensive jokes. Kudos to you all |
