There's nothing simple about this question:
I know little of my wiring and anybody claiming perfect awareness of his wiring is deceiving himself. Our wires come from inherited data from millions of years ago and billions of data we acquire daily. We make choices to fit what we think of our wiring and yes because we know little of our wiring we are prone to making wrong choices. "Cheating" could understandably be in a person's quest to find the one that fits his wiring when he realizes that he has made the wrong choice alternatively, cheating could be an instinctive response to ones base, mundane, beastial wiring and this is complicated.

Cheating is mostly not about sex, a lot of factors are involved. More than 70% of men cheat because they are unhappy in their marriages, many for companionship, friendship etc. and not for sex.

Men are not wired to cheat neither are they wired to be faithful but circumstances push some to it, some understandably others complicated. I know a married friend who always cheated on his wife but for 3yrs since he met his mistress he has not cheated on her. He no longer hangs out with us, just behaving like a teenager in love - vexing.
