It is always easy to advise people when you are not in their shoes. Believe me, my parents separated when my siblings and I were very young. Before then, we were just the regular average family. The divorce plunged us into great poverty cos my Mum refused to give us up, but she wasn't financially capacitated to sponsor our livelihoods. Our education, growth, social status, orientation, and other aspects of human life suffered. I initially blamed the two of them for the divorce, but now that I am grown and I can see domestic violence leading to deaths on an every day basis, I don't blame anyone of them for choosing sanity over toxic tolerance. My Dad is late now. I stayed with him for a while, but I saw hell via his wife, and my Dad and I were almost like strangers to each other until he died.

Divorce isn't bad. A messy divorce is. If adequate preparations are put in place by the divorcing adults to make sure that the children aren't seriously impacted by the negative consequences of their separation, things could still be under control for all the parties involved.

Women raised by single mother always turn out to be thorn in the flesh in marriage. The one my cousin got married to, the marriage only lasted for one month. In short, the influence of a father fiqure in the life of a female child cannot be overemphasize. The absence of it always transfigurate such ladies into a terrible specimen of everything bad. Though there are few exception.

I am a very patient and tolerant person but you see woman ehn.. the last woman I was with (girlfriend), tried this same thing with me, 1 night I couldn't take it anymore, the next day I threw her out of my apartment and deleted her number to avoid temptation..

I recently attended a marriage seminar that made me understand why some people react the way they do in times of conflict.

The Rhino and Hedgehog scenario and qualities were compared.

A woman can react like a Rhino while a man like a hedgehog, a man can react like a Rhino and the woman a hedgehog or both can be Rhinos or hedgehogs.

It's good to understand how your partner reacts to situations so you can talk things through in a saner manner, as long as there is no physical abuse.

In all, you both should go for counselling, you are obviously the Hedgehog of the marriage and she a Rhino.

I know verbal and emotional abuse is as bad as physical abuse but once you take divorce out of the table, you'd be able to find other ways to resolve you're conflicts. You both need counselling and you need to express how you both feel in your counselling sessions.

However, sometimes, once kids are involved, there are sacrifices to be made.

The case is no more about the couple at loggerheads. But more about the kids that are products of the union.

My philosophy has always been that, whatever social strata your ex spouse belongs to will always affect the upbringing of your children.

Even though, we don't live together, I still want the best for them.

Whatever the story that is told to them, once they are of age, I believe they will be matured enough to put things in the right perspectives.

The story is better told and understood by people with first hand experiences.

Personally, I think the court wedding is over rated.

I will sincerely advise young folks never to sign that document.

You can do traditional wedding. And, if there is true love, I see no reason for court wedding ( I.M.O).

It's high time men were there for men.

Let there be a movement whereby men ( real/responsible men) will stand up for men and not against men ( I mean men who were/are truly abused and violated).

I suspect my 3rd child is not mine. But for peace of the mind, I have decided out of my own free will to be responsible for all of them.

I still have my life before me. We might have gone our separate ways. However, the kids were not asked to be borne. As such, as much as possible we must take up those responsibilities as real men as much as we can and as long as we have the means.

I do not condone domestic violence and abuse against women but the stories must always be set straight.

I have seen the following happen:

1. A woman took her wedding invitation to her ex boyfriend. They ended up having s3x.

2. A woman on her wedding night had s3x with her bestie colleague at work in thesame hotel she booked for the wedding.

3. A housewife paid for a hotel where she had romps with her lover.

4. A married woman while in a hotel for s3x romps with her lover picked her husband's call and spoke calmly as if nothing was amiss

5. Etc and etc, etc, etc

6. Don't get me wrong, there are good marriages out there. And, God bless those couples.

Okowa should look into this same thing,why growing up in benin city I realise that benin women go to agbor to buy it from my Ika people.

Which means Ika people are even consuming this meat more than the benins.


Although I nor fit lie here,tinko meat(smoked donkey meat)to sweet especially those one those old women sell in Oka market.

Yes,I have been wrongly accused.

I logged in to my Instagram page to see my pictures tagged"thief" by a business page. According to her story,a customer ordered her goods to pay on delivery, and when the rider got to the client location, she gave part of the money promising to remit the balance directly to the seller but didn't at the end.

The seller in her way of trying to find out who the buyer was, because she (buyer) had stopped picking her calls and replying her messages on WhatsApp (because the said transaction was on WhatsApp), showed the rider different pictures of her followers on Instagram , and unfortunately for me the rider wrongly chose mine.

The business owner without verifying went ahead to tag me a thief,posted it on all social media platforms, tagged different gossip blogs.

All her followers and well wishers on Instagram bashed into my page, calling me all sort of names�. I tried explaining I wasn't the one,I even gave her my numbers and house address to come with the rider to confirm but she refused.

I reported at the police station and she was invited but she refused coming. The Police CSO asked for some money so her number can be tracked,I paid but nothing was done.

After weeks of excuses from the police,they requested for another money to order from her so the rider can take them to her,I paid but till today nothing has been done by the police.

That video was horrible to watch on Instagram! He was doing a live video feed in IG when volleys of lead hit him.

I could hear him mumbling one of his last words to his friend telling him ,"Call the medics mehn, call for help."
