next it would be the fault of those HAUSAs who stole money, and the IBO's who go around 419ing everything that passes, and YORUBAs for not indulging in the alimajiri trade.

PS: those are not my words but the HERPIS i read on NL everyday.
PoliticsRe: Rivers To Regulate Church Activities by mustafar1: 5:23pm On Jan 27, 2009
my friend asked me,"why do nigerians love God so much?" i responded, because we can hide all our shortcomings and attrocitieswe carry out under his name and he'll still love us back
PoliticsRe: Fct Minister Asks Landlords To Repaint Houses by mustafar1: 5:18pm On Jan 27, 2009
its not lead paint until it starts to chip not scrapped and it gets into food. i might be wrong but call it LEAD PROTEIN.
PoliticsRe: Fct Minister Asks Landlords To Repaint Houses by mustafar1: 5:00pm On Jan 27, 2009
Nigerians have to be told everything. soon they'll be told whom to vote. oooopps we are already being told that.

its the same in lagos, was talking to my aunt during my trip back last month about how some of the houses in the estate where looking 'colorful' as she had said the government had threatened to fine them if they didnt give their building a new coat of paint.
PoliticsRe: Warranty: China To Replace Nigerias Satellite For Free by mustafar1: 4:46pm On Jan 27, 2009
nateev, i feel what you feel for that country, but with the NL i know. they are probably going to add me to the group u might fall under. i already got called a hater for thinking of critiquing some snackwrap called OBJ. not like it stops me from critiquing him anyway, instead it gives me inspiration.

kobo, A president going for a medicalAnything outside his own land is a case of national secutiry. you probably know that already but without thinking i can name a few who would argue till fishes start family planning that its not that serious.
PoliticsRe: Warranty: China To Replace Nigerias Satellite For Free by mustafar1: 4:35pm On Jan 27, 2009
nateevs:
Until the day a Satellite is totally Nigerian - built in Nigeria, by Nigerians, for Nigerians - They will continue to float away!

Until the day men tells their sons of how they made , with their own hands, the inductors, resistors on some circuits in the Satellite, how the plastic parts were made from the rubber plants in Ikene and Sagamu; how the metal parts were fabricated at Ajaokuta, how chips of precious stones from the north were used to make some luxury sections of the body parts . . . . how the research started at the UNILAG, IFE, ABU, UNN, UNIBEN and practical evaluations supported at YABATECH, KADPOLY, FEDPOLY ILARO, how bitumen from the west was used to pave the road to an under-ground bunker in Kogi where part-assembly commenced and how maize, ofada rice, beans, cassava and water from the fertile land fed the stomachs of men and women of diverse cultures who worked tirelessly at the launch site in a desert area in Sokoto.

How the nation came to a stand-still to witness the live broadcast of the launch on NTA on June 12. . . . and we all sit at the edge of our seats and watched the final seconds, as the green-white-green colours of a monumental achievement floats away into space; It will never and I mean never be a Nigerian satellite.

We will continue to have Chinese Satellites bank-rolled by the Nigerian government - being payment for the non-exclusive permission to use the satellite . .

We still don't know what it means to be a Nation of Sovereignty . . . . .
you would be labelled an enemy of the state within 10 posts after this
for rubbishing the idea of having a china built satellite instead of having nothing.
for rubbishing the idea of having a satellite co-owned by nations thereby undemining our national security.
for daring to challenge what the drunken masters consider as being an achievement.
for wanting the launch pad to be in sokoto and not in ikeja or jos or asaba.
and many more offences they would come up with.

creative, its not about trying to kill his ambition. it's more of probing his person for answers to questions. and if you think people are being harsh. i hope you dont expect everyone to support him blindly either.

simple french, the questions he is being asked would be what his opponents would bring up against him when crunch time comes. so its better he faces them now, call it appetizer, that way he'll have come up with a better explanation for when his opponents throw such questions in his face on national tv/oyo tv/ ibadan tv. some of the answers he gave on here would certainly not guarantee him his own vote at the moment.

PoliticsRe: Breaking News: Yar'adua To Proceed On Two-week Leave by mustafar1: 5:38pm On Jan 26, 2009
if taking 2weeks off for rest in his country home is what the case is, sure why not. but taking 2 weeks off to go to another mans country for a checkup on his surgery should be a shame to his administration. if the national hospital in assHoles rock isnt equiped enough to perform a checked on the president or take it a step further. if the president of a country needs to be flown out of his own country for anything medical reason. it is unacceptable and that govt has failed itself.

national security issue ni ele yi now. look beyond sick or not sick. kidney transplant or not.

as much as some of what the guy must have said are exagerated, i would agree with some of what he pointed out. but that doesnt mean its the worst place to visit.

Uche2nna:
At least thats the stance of the article.

Well, give me an alternative hypothesis.

And U must be prepared to explain why it is more prevalent in these two areas
and what proof do you have to make you come to this conclusion. if u make this based on statistics then provide it. if its based on the article which in itself didnt do any research on the other regions of the country before postulating such then i wouldnt even bother trying to come up with any hypothesis to counter urs.
PoliticsRe: Yorubas Littered With Homeless Beggars, All Children And Women by mustafar1: 1:27am On Jan 26, 2009
Uche2nna:
Maybe they are now becoming more conscious of their religion?  undecided I dont know !!! Ask them. grinThe point U are trying to make is that there is poverty. I agree with that. But that does not answer why there is a localized surge in "almajiriness" among the Western states.

If U are blaming poverty (which I believe is nation wide) then there should be a concomitant , if not proportional, surge in other parts of the country.
by that statement you mean religion acted someway in the increase in almajiris

this is what you get when 90% of a countries police force is illiterate. most joined the force as a last resort. they get paid and they really do not have to do anything to get paid. and they get some benefits. add to the list below if you wish

1. you get accomodation
2. your wife or wives get to own a shop in POWA markets all over
3. you get to manufacture kids anyhow
4. help me add to my list

You should call for his head jare. If Fashola is interested in cleaning up lagos and getting rid of illegal activities, he should start from area boys because they constitute more nuisance that pontoon markets. Why don't he start from them?. He wouldn't because they helped force him into power.
earthmama, did u read the comment in its entirety or u simply read the portion which seems to align with ur stand? if you didnt, please do so. i would no call for his head without having a lil more information about what exactly was done at the market.
