like you rightly said the Effectiveness and efficiency of the scheme willbe realised when
1. lagosians leave their cars at home
2. Stop driving on CLEARLY marked bus lanes.
It is so easy for us to condem governmnet policies butlet us ask oursleve "are we doing our own part ?". If someone is driving on bus lanes 200 fasholas can't do anything about it. In the UK you dare not drive on bus lanes during a certain time of certain dasy, hence public buses have unhindered traffic.

Also , I have on more than 20 times stood on buses in the UK. The idea of entering a bus is to get to your destination and just imagine that people are not blocking the bus lanes , a distance from Anthony to TBS will be less than 30 minutes.

[size=18pt]I don't like the bit of you saying govt should scrap BRT and start train. Some people will also complain. Don;t forget that some people's home will be demolished for the new rail tracks and ofcourse you expect govt to abandon that too.[/size]For me, i think the nest step the govt should take now is to encourage companies to use staff buses , then move to the next level of selling week-day ( VI/IKOYI ) car licences for those that want to drive to the island. This will discourage peope from taking their cars. Those that cause traffic in lagos are the 8am - 5pm workers that just take their empty cars to the office , park, then bring them back empty by 5 or 6 .
