Too many foolish questions and comments here but the most reasonable thing to ask is if you were the one, what will you have done better, the answer is you can never know.

So instead of nagging your complaints..hail the man for trying his best and not in a cosmetic way. Gov. Rotimi Akeredolu is touching lives from beneath and gradually to the tip. Simple!!

The campaign fortunes of the 26 candidates of the All Progressives Congress, APC, for the Ondo State House of Assembly in the forthcoming elections have received a major boost as the State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, on Tuesday, donated 26 buses branded "Ondo for Buhari" to the candidates.

The Sienna Space wagon bus which was given to each of the 26 candidates were meant to aid their campaigns.

Addressing the candidates at the Buhari/Osinbajo Situation Office in Akure, Governor Akeredolu said the victory of all the candidates of APC, beginning with that of President Muhammadu Buhari, through the National Assembly to the State Legislature must be resounding.

While saying that the candidates must not allow for any laxity as an excuse for electoral loss, Arakunrin Akeredolu charged the candidates to redouble their efforts in their respective constituencies by winning handsomely for the APC.

The governor said the House of Assembly candidates must justify their closeness to the grassroots to mobilise every legible voter to ensure that the President and candidates of the party win in the rescheduled elections so as to make their elections on the 9th March a total triumph for APC.

The governor enjoined the candidates to work with the party leadership and report any slightest threat to the success of the party at the polls to the Election room for appropriately legitimate actions.

In his remarks, the State Chairman of APC, Engineer Ade Adetimehin appreciated Arakunrin Akeredolu for his unequaled support for candidates of the APC in the state.

The APC State Chairman who advised all candidates of the party not to keep to themselves any potential areas of challenge to the success of the party in the election said with the all-round support made available to them ahead of the election by Governor Akeredolu, the candidates have no reason not to secure a landslide victory for APC in their respective constituencies in all the elections.

To demonstrate their joy and appreciation to the governor, the highly elated candidates sang different political songs to hail the party and the Governor.

EventsCampaign: Lagos To Restrict Movement On 18 Roads For Buhari by mutumina007(op): 10:33am On Feb 07, 2019
The Lagos State Government has restricted movement on 18 major roads across the state for President Muhammadu Buhari’s campaign on Saturday 8th Feb. 2019, at the Teslim Balogun Stadium in Surulere.

A former Minister of State for Defence and Chairman, Transport Committee on President Muhammadu Buhari’s Campaign visit to Lagos State, Demola Seriki, told journalists at a press conference in Ikeja on Wednesday that the restriction was necessary as Buhari would lead other All Progressives Congress members to seek Lagosians’ votes in the general elections.

He said movement would be diverted on the roads so that motorists and commuters would not be left stranded.
He listed the affected areas as the Stadia (Teslim Balogun and National stadia) in and out; Funsho Williams Avenue, Surulere, Lawanson/Itire /Tejuosho Road, Apapa/ Costain Road, Abebe village, Eric Moore Road, Eko Bridge/Apongbon, Marina Road, Ikorodu Road, Mobolaji Bank Anthony Way, Old Toll Gate/Third Mainland Bridge/Obalende, Airport Road, Oshodi-Oworonshoki Expressway, Agege Motor Road, Jibowu area, Yaba/Muritala Mohammed Way Iddo/Otto, Herbert Macaulay Way and Adekunle and Ijora Olopa.

He said the committee issued the traffic advisory to ease movement, but advised motorists to stay away from Surulere, venue of the rally, insisting that many routes would be closed.

Seriki said, “For instance, Alaka (by Lanre Shittu Motors) on the service lane, inwards Stadium will be closed to traffic while vehicles will be diverted to the Stadium Bridge on the main carriage way. Shitta, inwards Stadium and Stadium inwards Shitta will be closed to traffic and vehicles diverted to Adeniran Ogunsanya Street or Akerele extension. Traffic from Barracks to Stadium on Funsho Williams Avenue will be diverted to Stadium Bridge on the main carriage way to Alaka.”

He called for the cooperation of Lagosians, urging residents to come to the venue to receive Buhari “to our dear state.”

Seriki said over 100,000 APC members were expected at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, adding that Lagos was ready to deliver over two million votes for the President.

The Federal Road Safety Corps Sector Commander for the state, Hyginus Omeje, said truck drivers would be restricted from entering the metropolis from Friday, February 8, in preparation for the presidential rally on Saturday.

“Truck drivers are advised to plan their movements and cooperate with officers to ensure that trucks do not jeopardise the travel advisory issued for the safety and comfort of all while the event lasted,” he said

CrimePHOTOS: Akeredolu Donates Another Set of Vehicles To Security Agencies In Ondo by mutumina007(op):
Ondo State governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, on Monday donated another set of brand new vehicles to security agents in the state as part of the effort of his administration to fight crime and criminals in the state.

It would be recalled that the Governor had sometimes in 2017 donated ten speed boats to the Naval officers policing the riverine area of the state. Akeredolu also presented five hilux vans to the state Police command in 2018.

The Governor on Monday presented 17 vehincles to the security agencies in the state. The state Police command got five out of the seventeen while the 32 Artillery Brigade, Nigerian Army got three and the State Security Service was given two.

The Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, Ondo State command, got three cars, while the Special Protection Unit and the Naval base in Igbokoda, got one car each.

Similarly, the Governor had presented one Vehincle to the Legions and one for the Anti-Kidnapping Squad.

Governor Akeredolu explained that some petty things could be resolved with patrols, and urged the security agencies to increase patrols in the state.

"Somebody came to me that people are defacing other people's posters, not necessarily All Progressives Congress (APC) posters. You can arrest them. If they know that your patrol is on the road, they will be afraid," he said.

The governor further commended security agencies in the state for reduction of crime, especially kidnapping.

PoliticsAPC To Atiku/obi: You Told Nigerians Bare Faced Lies by mutumina007(op): 2:25pm On Jan 31, 2019
The APC Presidential Campaign Council said on Thursday that the PDP Presidential, Atiku Abubakar and his running mate, Peter Obi were engaged in what it described as bare face lies and dishonest claims when they appeared on a national television programme, “The Candidate” on Wednesday night.

Spokesman of the Campaign, Barrister Festus Keyamo said in a statement made available to newsmen in Abuja that simple fact checks revealed that several claims by the PDP candidate and his running mate were nothing but a tissue of lies.

Keyamo said Nigerians should take note of “Alhaji Atiku Abubakar defined Corruption as “the use of your privileged position to either enrich yourself or enrich your relatives or even your friends”, adding that “when this is juxtaposed with his earlier statement in Lagos, that he will enrich his friends if he becomes President, we can safely conclude that he will be fully in the business of corruption if he becomes President.

“Atiku/Obi made it clear to Nigerians that conflict of interests as a public servant should be the norm as, during their tenures, they found absolutely nothing wrong then and today, with investing public funds in enterprises they own or their families own. For instance, Kadaria ran Peter Obi into a ditch when she asked him if his family was not enriched as a result of using public funds for his family business ‘NEXT’.

“Their claim on experience in running anything public or private cannot stand any act of scrutiny. The Presidential candidate, who is easily a major contributor to our huge unemployment problem today as a result of his corrupt privatisation programme, counts this failure as a huge experience and wants to repeat same if elected.

“Their proposed Agriculture Programme which they claim to have put together to lift majority of the people out of poverty is a version of what is already being implemented by the present government under the Anchors Borrowers Programme and the Government Enterprises and Empowerment Programmes.

“After watching Atiku/Obi on that programme, it has become clear to all Nigerians that our public institutions and commonwealth would be in grave danger if left in the hands of these dodgy and questionable characters who have no morals and no scruples about using and misusing public funds for private gains.”

Keyamo listed some of the lies he claimed were told by the PDP candidate and his running mate to include:

*Lie Number 1: Alhaji Atiku Abubakar claimed that at handover in May 2019, our GDP growth rate was 6%. Fact Checked Truth: It is a well-documented fact that at handover, the GDP growth rate was 2.35%. The economy was on a free fall as the GDP growth rate had dropped for three consecutive quarters.

*Lie Number 2: Alhaji Atiku Abubakar claims recession was caused by the APC Government. Fact Checked Truth: With a consistent and rapid drop of our GDP, their Coordinating Minister of the Economy at that time, Okonjo Iweala, former Central Bank Governor Prof. Charles Soludo and the Central Bank Governor at the time, now Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, warned the PDP Government and Nigerians that we were headed for a recession.

*Lie Number 3: Alhaji Atiku Abubakar claimed that security challenges were restricted to the North East during their time. Truth: Nigerians will recall that the Boko Haram activities had spread all over the North East, North West and North Central. For instance, UN Headquarters, Police Headquarters, a Bus stop in Nyanya, a prominent Plaza in Wuse II were all bombed during the era of the last government in Abuja. A church or Mosque was bombed every week in 2013/2014. The herders-farmers’ clashes were the deadliest in 2014, claiming over 1,300 lives in a short period across the North. Boko Haram occupied over 17 Local Government Areas and hoisted their flags, effectively establishing a caliphate in the North East. All these happened before the coming of this administration.

*Lie Number 4: Peter Obi claimed that out-of-school children grew to 13.5 million under this administration. Truth: The figure of 13.2 million out-of-school children was a 2015 survey by UNICEF. An alarm was raised by several global bodies then because the figure had grown from 10.5 million in 2010 to 13.2 million in 2015, despite record earnings of the Government at that time. In other words, Peter Obi’s claim is self-indicting.

*Lie Number 5: That Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, as a Customs officer, said there was nothing wrong at that time with setting up a company that had dealings in the Ports that were under customs supervision.
Truth: The Code of Conduct for Public Officers was first enshrined in the 1979 constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Atiku Abubakar co-founded the company, as a serving customs officer, three years after the 1979 constitution came into operation. According to Section 1 of the 5th Schedule to the 1979 Constitution, a public officer shall not put himself in a position where his personal interest conflicts with his duties and responsibilities. By establishing a company involved in Port-related business at a time when he was an officer in the Nigeria Customs Service charge with managing the Ports, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar definitely put himself in a position where his personal (business) interest conflicted with his duties as a public officer.

*Lie Number 6: Peter Obi claims Nigeria has record poverty now. Truth: Despite high oil revenue, according to the World Bank, extreme poverty under PDP grew to 112 million in 2013 through 2014, compared to 86 million today. India pulled their citizens out of poverty for over two decades by using the same methods Nigeria is now using today.

He said further that “In summary one would have thought that in the course of the programme, ‘The Candidates’, Atiku/Obi would have modified the lies they told earlier in their campaigns and make it consistent with reality as most of them were already fact-checked by independent bodies and proven to be lies. Alas, they have continued on the same path, believing that ‘If you tell a big enough lie and tell it frequently enough, it will be believed”.
