BREAKING!!! Prophetic Warning To Nigerian Government By Prophet TB Joshua - Religion - Nairaland https://www.nairaland.com/5084887/breaking-prophetic-warning-nigerian-government |
On Sunday 17th March 2019, Prophet T.B. Joshua gave a prophetic warning to the government of Nigeria concerning the handling of “inconclusive elections” in the nation. These were his words: “I have a message for my country and I want to say it. What is the message? The government should be conscious of the way they go about inconclusive election. They should be conscious about it. This can be an open door for satan. You know satan kills, steals and destroys. They should be conscious the way they handle inconclusive elections. This can be an open door for satan. Satan kills, steals and destroys. Lift up your voice and pray. If here is not at peace, you cannot come here. So, lift up your voice and start your prayer from this country, Nigeria. Open your lips and pray for peace and harmony. Pray for the nation, Nigeria – for peace and harmony, for understanding, wisdom. God’s intervention! In Jesus Christ’s name we pray!” In the aftermath of Nigeria’s contentious governorship elections, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) announced that polls in six states were inconclusive. Thus, supplementary elections in the affected states — Kano, Sokoto, Plateau, Benue, Bauchi and Adamawa — have been scheduled for March 23. They all have Gov Rotimi Akeredolu to thank and the good people of the sunshine state to appreciate for the opportunity. Remember that always. |
Its a good idea to lift the restriction on movement because of the innocent and the needy. But I believe Gov Akeredolu will deal with the irresponsible psychos that has caused so much damage to Oba Aloko town. |

Following the aftermath of the violence which erupted at Oba Akoko in Akoko Southwest Local Government yesterday, Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu,SAN, in company of the State Commissioner of Police, Mr Undie Adie has visited the town. The governor who expressed displeasure at the level of devastation at the Divisional Police Station and its barracks, wondered why the perpetrators of the dastardly acts could embark on such height of criminality and lawlessness. He said the State Government would set up a Panel of Inquiry to find out the immediate and remote causes of the unfortunate incidence and therefore determine the cost implication of damages done to public and private property. The governor called on Police and other security agencies to enforce government directive to restrict internal human and vehicular movements in the town. At the palace of Oloba, Governor Akeredolu regretted that despite the several phone calls made to Oba Nurudeen Adegoroye to prevail on his people to maintain peace and order, the people rebuffed sense of reasoning. The State Commissioner of Police had earlier briefed the governor on how his men at the station were overpowered by irate mob whose actions were politically motivated after they had illegally blocked all entries into the town. The CP who however confirmed the arrest of some hoodlums engaged in various forms of electoral offences, assured that there would be enough reinforcements to restore peace and order. The DPO, ASP Mayegun Adewale who conducted the governor and the Commissioner of Police round the station and other strategic places in the town said the hoodlums were not only youths. He said the sporadic shootings by the criminals showed the calibre of firearms with them and the fact that they were well coordinated for the ugly incidence. The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Security, Alhaji Jimoh Dojumo narrated to newsmen how distressed calls came to combined teams of Security Agencies, of plans by the hoodlums to destroy electoral materials including ballot boxes and result sheets used for State Assembly election in parts of Akoko Southwest Local Government Area. He said the security personnel had to embark on an a fierce security operation to dislodge the miscreants before the electoral officials and materials used in the election could be rescued to the Collation Centre in Iwaro-oka.

The leadership of Commercial Motorcycle and Tricycle Association (COMTRA) in the 18 Local Government Areas of Ondo State have expressed satisfaction with the manner at which the Akeredolu-led administration is handling their affairs which has led to their smooth operations. Some COMTRA leaders who spoke on behalf of others stated at an interactive session with the state government and newsmen at the Cocoa Conference Hall of the Governor’s office in Akure. They explained that the Amalgamated Commercial Motorcycle Riders Association of Nigeria (ACOMORAN) is not part of their association recognized by the state government. According to the leader of COMTRA in Okitipupa local government, Mr Shayo Olufunke, decried the hardship they went through under ACOMORAN leadership of the past administration which made many of them abandoned the business for another trade. “Often times, we were subjected to various hardships ranging from illegal extortions, even after paying for the daily ticket and would severely dealt with anyone who fails to do as they instructed. Also, leaders of the association from Akoko North West Local Government, Mr Obanla Bashiru and Mr Lanre Olugbenga from Ondo West Local Governments distanced themselves from those who dragged the state government to court adding that they are in support of how they operate now. It would be recalled that the Ondo State chapter of the Amalgamated Commercial Motorcycle Owners and Riders Association of Nigeria (ACOMORAN) had a forthnight ago, dragged Ondo State government to Court for taking over the printing and sales of 150 Naira daily revenue tickets to Okada riders through the State Board of Internal Revenue. Responding, Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the Governor on Special Duties and Strategy, Dr Doyin Odebowale explained that government has not been served notice by the court adding that the association remains banned. “The ban on the union Exco (ACOMORAN) still subsists and they remained banned. Nobody will be permitted to stay on our roads to extort money from anybody. “The State government will not allow the extortion of money from anyone and will no longer tolerate any form of racketeering”, he said Source: https://citadelng.com/comtra-lauds-odsg-on-operational-guidelines/

Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, has described as victory for democracy, the judgement of the Supreme Court, which struck out the case instituted against him by Olusegun Abraham, who came second in the keenly constested September 3, 2016 All Progressives Congress, APC, Governorship primary election in Ondo State. While appreciating the people of Ondo State and members of the, APC, for their steadfastness throughout the period of the needless litigation, Akeredolu called on Mr. Segun Abraham to join hands with him in the patriotic task of building a new Ondo State. The Governor says there is no victor, no vanquished. The victory is for everyone who wants the best for Ondo State and Segun Abraham is one of us. In other words, we are all winners. The Supreme Court on Tuesday in Abuja thrashed the suit filed by Abraham in which he was challenging Akeredolu’s victory at the September 3, 2016 APC governorship primary in Ondo State. The apex court held that, in line with the provision of the fourth alteration especially Section 285(11) of the 1999 constitution, that Segun Abraham failed to file his case within the stipulated 14 days after the cause of action, thus statute barred. Arakunrin Akeredolu, therefore, dedicates the victory to the people of Ondo State, who he describes as ever progressive. Breaking News!! Abraham Loses Case Against Akeredolu https://www.nairaland.com/5061388/breaking-news-abraham-loses-case |
Abraham loses Case Against Akeredolu The Supreme Court in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) has struck out the suit instituted by Segun Abraham against Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN. Abraham was challenging the emergence of Governor Akeredolu as candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, for the November 2016 governorship election. The Supreme Court on Tuesday struck out Abraham's case for lack of competence. The court held in line with the provisions of the fourth alteration especially Section 285 (11) of the 1999 constitution as amended that Abraham failed to file his case within the stipulated 14 days after the cause of action. The court explained that Abraham approached the court 28 days after the primary election he was challenging instead of the stipulated 14days. One of the counsels to Governor Akeredolu, Olumide Olujinmi explained that "There is an interlocutory appeal to the court of Appeal and the appeal Court said by virtues of the court operations, nobody has the right to interlocutory appeal "It's that complain we took to the Supreme Court that we have a right to interlocutory appeal and the Supreme Court, said that the case that is pending at the Federal High Court is not competent. So, there is no need for argument and therefore struck out the case " SOURCE: https://citadelng.com/abraham-loses-case-against-akeredolu/
