Politics / Re: Nigeria Is Bad - Nigeria Is Bad - What Is Bad About Nigeria Than Other Countries by muyii12: 3:32pm On Apr 15, 2008
naira landers, what do we call corruption,is it only embezzlement,no,what am saying is that nigerians should change their mentality and i believe this forum is not for us to come and learn how to rain abuses on people wen they lay their opinion, nobody wants to believe that what he or she is contributing is wrong,so there i urge ANGELES TO STOP ABUSING KOBOJUNKIE cos he is trying to air his views considering the fact that you angeles brought up this topic.cheers

@vivi ,did i hear you say developing nation?oh come off dat.nigeria has all the the resouces to be a developed nation by now,did you know why it took the already developed nations longer time to be developed, the simple answer is simply because they started from the scratch to find a way out to be developed, but we were first colonised by already developed nation which was britain and that gives us a better chance to even be developed much more faster, the senerio is this, take for instance somebody who decides to learn a program all by his or her self and someone who goes to a professional to teach him that same package, who do you think will learn faster.the only problem nigeria has is BAD LEADERS, period, or wat will you say in case of power generation,is nigeria still a developing nation in that sector, nigeria still generates less than 3000MW(megawatt) where we have a population of more than 140millionn.where as south africa generates about 40000MW with a population of about 34million.infact i still stand firm that the mproblem facing our dear country nigeria is nothing but that our leaders are heartless and wicked, just look at how our former president made a mess of his administration of the $16billion invested in power sector with nothing to show for it.thanks and God bless all naira landers.
Business / Re: UBA Charges COT On Savings Accounts: Be Warned! by muyii12: 9:06am On Apr 14, 2008
on my own part, uba is the worst bank i have ever done business with, their cutomer service is ZERO,I have instructed my business partners to stop paying money in to my uba acc, just try GTB and you will see the difference.their customer care is super, you can withdraw all your money from ur savings acc.if you wish but thats not possible in yba and some other banks, gtb gives you mail alert wen ever there is a transaction in ur acconut, infact i strongly recommend it to every body and most especially students.cheers

Politics / Re: Iyabo Obasanjo And Others Charged Over Embezzlement by muyii12: 8:51am On Apr 09, 2008
who is talking about obasanjo's legacy, what legacy,do you know the meaning of legacy,do you really understand the implication of legacy,do you know what nigeria must have liked like if obasanjo has legacy.ooh i dont know what to say,u see, obasanjo 8years rule shattered the whole nation,it was more or less like a military regime,he chooses court orders to obey and the ones not to obey,he is the father of all acient and modern corruption, obasanjo is a disgrace to human hood,an old man who is supposed to go and relax is still looking for power, who does he want to rule.when you talk about legacy, you talk about the likes of MARTHIN LUTHER KING JNR(USA),MAHATMA GHANDI(INDIA),NELSON MANDELA(SOUTH AFRICA),TONY BLAIRE(UK) and possibly y'aradua.

why do nairalanders boarder themselves in matters that do not have a locus standi, even if they ban em in anambra state,it is very easy to call a friend in Enugu to get me a packet of those CD's.again Cd's are wat we guys carry in our wallet.the most annoying part is that those people that made the law will be those buying even the most expensive one's.like the senators, house of rep members and local government chairmen minus the governor because he is a good man.

pls my fellow naira landers, you guys should take it easy with d young man,a proverb says where ever a child points while crying,if the father is not there, the mother must be there and also he who wore a shoe knows where it inches,so i think the poor man knows why he's crying but thats not enough reason to break up the relationship because a cow does not know the importance of its tail until it loose;s it,so my friend think twice and be wise.best of luck

Education / Re: Bowen University, Iwo Hints & Tales Wanted by muyii12: 1:39pm On Sep 21, 2007
Well Guy, I will say congratulations on ur admssion into Bowen University. I just graduated from the school this year and i will say that it was really all bed of roses. Bowen is a missionary school as u all know all the rules follow the baptist doctrine to the core.
There used to be socials in the skool until when we got 400 level and the skool banned the non-gospel artist from coming to perform in the skool. Before then, we have had the likes of d'banj, DJ jimmy jatt, basket-mouth, soundcity crew and othetartist just to mention a few. But right now all that have stopped.

Talking about the rules, Guy i will say that the rules at times can be sometimes annoying. Can u imagine being asked to kneel down at the University for FOUR hours. REASON: because a guy wasn;t well dressed. The skool also forbids the use of camera fones but guy i will tell u that 80 percent of fones been used in that skool today are camera and even the latest. There are five chapel services in a week(complusory) and not the morning and nite devotions in the hall of residence. You have to dress corporate as good as yo can. I mean u must be on tie all througout the week expect for saturdays and sundays. For the ladies, they must be dressed corporate too.

As par academics, Bowen is very good. But my guy i will tell u that it can really be stressfull and tasking ooo. U have to read hard cos Bowen no send the money which paid ooo. You is very hard to be a first class student in Bowen oo. Infact i will tellu that in my set,the first class students are just about 15. So you rally need 2 walk raelly hard oo. 'os that know se if u no pass u go still give them money for summer school'. I graduated with a 2'1 and i know how really hard it was considering the number of 2'1 in my dept.

Another area that on must talk about is the school officials. Bowen as so much given power to this people that they do not mind doing anything to you. Imagine an hall warden (porter as called in bowen) will want to control you as if he brought you into the school. Even security guuards harass students, all in the name of discipline ooo.

In conclusion oo, i will say that as you will be going into the school, just try as much as you can to keep your heads low! obey the rules (attend chapel services and other bsf activities) and try to endure it and just believe that it will not be for ever but just for FOUR or FIVE years(depending on the duration of your course).

All the best.
