@Emboldened, The government don't have to be tech savvy to understand the importance of ICT, there's ICT Minister in the Senate. What measures have taken to ensure the development of ICT sectors in Nigeria? I'm guessing none. But instead prefer to squander our money abroad.
Your definitely right, I'm a Nigerian PhD IT student in South Africa and I work for Amazon. The potentials of embracing a tech-enabled economy is limitless but alas they are clueless and corrupt.

And these amazing innovations has left most Nigerians jobless and would add more joblessness to the list as time goes on. Nigerian banks is an example grin

Nice info NaijaTechGuy
The only rationale behind the alarming rate of unemployment in Nigeria is the government. Technology if anything contributes immensely to the development of a nation. I'm pretty sure 90% of those in the Nigerian government aren't tech savvy. Are we encouraging Green IT? What's NITDA doing ? Think about it...we need a full revamp

Nigerians need proper orientation. ..

TravelRe: Help! He Wants To Decline A Lecturing Job Offer And Travel To UK by Muyiii(m): 12:29pm On May 02, 2016
Trust me ..I did my masters in the UK. It's not as rosy as most people think it is...in fact you stand a good chance of buying the range rover while in Nigeria. Patience okay...I was an Assistant lecturer and I could afford a Honda Accord 2010 ..that was 2 years ago tho...I had other jobs by the side. You just have to be smart, dedicated and patient...don't be in a haste. I'm now about to round up my PhD in South Africa and opportunities are already knocking...just have a blueprint ..stick to it and you'll be fine...you have to start somewhere but definitely not ditching the job just to go the UK that you'll still visit someday for summer.

Tribalist bigots everywhere, its Yoruba they will squeal, its Igbo they will wail am not Igbo or youruba but this stuff is childish, whatever any tribe does reflects on Nigeria as a nation so we are all bearing the bad name together so tribalism is useless, have you seen where Igbo person commits a felony and they will say corrupt Igbo of Nigeria? They will say corrupt Nigeria, every tribe has their own bad side and no one is better, Yoruba's have sons with great achievements as well as other tribes, and all tribes have felons too, so anyone talking tribalist thrash here should grow a brain and stop being a preeq.
You've spoken so well, how on earth will we ever grow as a nation if amongst ourselves we discriminate?
I'm yoruba and i know we ain't perfect either, guess what my best friend is Igbo and we've always gotten along real well...
This is just hypocrisy at its peak...we get all mad when white folks discriminate against us and yet even amongst ourselves we call each other names.

lets be civil please...

You are not better than the people you are admonishing. You have as much hate as every other person you are admonishing. "You are not proud to say you are from Nigeria in South Africa because of what the Igbos are doing and yet you don't want them to go their separate ways. Just know you are a shameless tribal bigot, hence you are not qualified to advise anybody.
I won't trade words with you..thanks all the same.
PoliticsRe: Fall Of Naira, Economy: Blame Jonathan, Says APC - Vanguard by Muyiii(m): 8:35am On Jan 18, 2016
I'm still waiting for this government do one tangible thing besides blaming...if it's broken, fix it. How long are we going to keep playing these game? We all know these facts already. Besides the corruption probing ...I still can't feel their impact yet.
PoliticsRe: Stay Away From Our State – Enugu Government Warns MASSOB, IPOB by Muyiii(m): 8:30am On Jan 18, 2016
They should just let them go...honestly. it's becoming so annoying, if they want to go they should go. These foklks are everywhere doing busines...from Abuja to lagos you just name it. Here in South Africa, you can't boldly say you're Nigerian (thanks to this SE folks) ..they engage in all sorts of illegal activities just to get rich. I love their entrepreneurial spirit but they're pushing it too far. Ain't we supposed be one? My best pal is from Imo and we do virtually everything together. I don't think they see the strength in our diversity. Let's put aside political barrier and tribal differences...let's get along..ain't you Christians anymore ? Let's stop this unnecessary upheavals...the government don't care as long as they keep getting rich.

You're right..I know the CEO real well, I did my youth service in his maiden company (e-Motion) back in 2009. He's not good manager, always quick to lay people off based of flimsy reasons. After my youth service, I was expecting a raise but he kept on avoiding me and when I decided to leave he started throwing tantrums, threatening to sue me and stuffs. Anyways, not that I'm against him or something but I knew he won't be able to keep up with his own success coz he has poor managing skills.
