The fact is that Nigeria will never be able to fight corruption because she herself is corruption. Her children, Her

citizens do enjoy corruption even though they do not admit it. And they like to remove the straw in a corruption

crusader's eye, even when they know that the corrupt are carrying big rafters in their greedy eyes.

too many people confuse laptop specs with laptop quality. you can play crysis on laptops of any manufacturer provided the laptops meet the minimum recommeneded specifications.

some guy in my office wanted to buy a laptop. i told him he must choose a laptop with dedicated nvidia graphics, and NOT intel integrated graphics. the guy bought an HP with intel graphics. we installed crysis, and it would't run because the laptop used Intel graphics. based on that, one could call HP rubbish.


in the same way, if you insist on buying a manufacturer's low end models, you may have issues.

HPs are trash and ar so fcukin cheap,the pavillions,they always have screen prob after sometime.
I will never buy a HP,never.
But even if i'm going to change it will still be a Vaio.

now, what exactly one has to do with the other? just in case you did not know, to my knowledge, dapolam hasn't disobeyed any rules or regulations. and i haven't even endorsed him as yet, i've only asked people to relax a bit and allow the young man to completely present what he's selling. i've also advised people to judge him for what he's selling as himself and not as his father, the former governor of oyo state.
i honestly see nothing wrong with what i've done so far.

Now for @Dapolam’s case, I can tell you that you actually did exactly all you claim you did not do. You made it clear that he had your support no matter what. Now again, do not think I have anything against you personally. Just that I find it hard to reconcile you fast switch you have made from mellow motherly person to raving rantter ready for the head of this Ribadu man. In fact, you seem to have made yourself the authority on all issues Ribadu and seem to have all the evidence right there in front of you to prove him guilty without a doubt. Startling!! Considering you claim to be close to Abuja, yet you are willing to go after this one with so much zeal but in the same strength ready to pardon the other just cause according to you, he know not what he did when he was governor’s son, and hence should not be questioned about his conduct back then. I find it amazing!


What proof do you have to support your claim that he accepted an “ILLEGAL” promotion from a corrupt individual? I don’t want rhetoric, just proof please.

MPs to spend N15 billion on foreign trips , In 2009

Nigeria National Assembly
The 109 Senators and 360 members of the House of Representative will spend a total N15 billion on foreign and local trips in 2009, Daily Trust learnt in Abuja.


The Senators are to spend N1.85 billion for international trips and another N3.2 billion on local trips under the 2009 appropriation bill as presented to the National Assembly by President Umaru Musa Yar’adua.
On its part, the House of House Representatives is to spend N5.062 billion on international trips and another N5.46 billion on local travels, thereby bringing the total travels expenditure of the lower chamber of the National Assembly to N11 billion in 2009.

As proposed in the draft copy of the 2009 appropriation bill, the Senators will gulp N783 million naira on refreshment and meals while the House of Representatives has been allocated N3.11 billion for its refreshment and meals in 2009.

Similarly, the Senators are to get N800 million as sitting allowances next year, while their counterparts in the House of Representatives will get N2billion as sitting allowances in the 2009 legislative year.

These expenditures are coming at a time when the country is experiencing huge financial deficits due to the crash in crude oil prices in the international market. The national budget is expected to run a deficit of about N200 billion next year.

While presenting the 2009 appropriation bill to a joint session of the National Assembly earlier this month, President Umaru Musa Yar’adua said his government was going to adopt serious austerity measures in a desperate effort to reduce to the barest minimum all unnecessary and extra spending in 2009 because of the crashing oil prices.

“The recent volatility of the oil price is apparent in the unprecedented decline of prices from record highs of about US$147/barrel in July this year to current prices of about US$50/barrel, and there is no guarantee that prices will not further decline despite OPEC’s recent mitigating efforts. We therefore must adopt a prudent outlook that does not invest misplaced confidence in the expectation of unrealistically high prices,” Yar’adua had said.

According to Yar’adua, excessive expenditure on international travels and training has been curbed by 50% while expenditure on local travels was slashed by 25%.
