You're just ranting here about Tectonic plate as if you're part of the earth crust itself. Even the scientists can't be so confident in their saying the way you're just shouting up and down here.

That's how some of you will sit in south-south, south west or south east and be arguing about the issue of Boko Haram in the North.

Many people from different locations have said it here how they experience this scenario which has never been like this before in Abuja yet you're still wallowing in your delusion of mining and rock blast.

...you did not address what I wrote one bit but saying a different thing all together... So they felt tremors which many others in Abuja did not feel, so it must be an earthquake... No seismograph or agency in the world saw any earth movement around the area because this things are measured and monitored everywhere in the world...Nothing showed on the rictcher scale.... ...i stand to be corrected... Our region avoided the fault lines at the tectonic plates which are the cause of the earthquake... We can have earth tremors like every other place which can be as a result of mining, bomb blast or anything that disturbs the earth crust... But we can never have an earth quake... Most of Africa avoided the fault line... Please try and know the geological reason why most of Africa don't have an earth quake except the Ethiopian and Egypt region that have fault lines in the crust... Most of us are ignorant and you are one of them

...i say earthquakes... you don't know anything... there are tectonic plates under the crust and there are regions on earth that this plates have faults or crack e. g around the Pacific, India etc.. They are prone to earthquakes... Most of Africa is lucky to have avoided this fault lines... Earth tremors can be caused by anything when energy passes through the earth crust as a result of an earth quake, volcanic eruption, mining, bomb or anything that can pass waves within the crust....

So countries where earthquakes, landslides and other earth related disasters occur wan their citizens ahead, and yet they record so much casualties when these disasters occur. Is movement within the earth crust the same thing with a weather related disaster?

Some part of Karina experienced a mild earthquake some times ago. Did you read about it? Don't say it can't happen. A simple process like the one that happened in some part of kaduna can create enough fault that can result into something serious

Our Region has no fault lines at the tectonic plate... We can't experience an earthquake... Earth quakes are monitored all round the world and measured by the Richer Scale... No agency has indicated any earthquake in the region... All what we are seeing is just the usual Ignorant talks... Earth tremors can be as a result of anything, it must not be earthquake... ...Nooo... Not all rocks are product of volcanic eruption, it's only igneous rocks... Those rocks were formed by either movement of plates in the crust or by sediments... And volcanic eruptions and earthquakes are two different things... Earthquakes are caused by fault lines at the tectonic plates which our region luckily don't have... Volcanic eruption happens at active or passive volcanic areas... The only volcanic mountains we have are in the eastern part of the country around Taraba,adamawa close to Cameron... Cameroun has an active volcanic mountain

Coastal area are not the only place sucestable to earthquake. Forget the rock you see, over sixty percent of Abuja is sitting on a sedementery setting. Earthquake can happen in Abuja if there is a fault beneath the underline setting.

If emphasis is based on the army then the list may be whatever it is. But if its based on general military might air force + navy, Nigeria shouldn't be 43rd and India has no business in that 4th position. I know India gained more military respect during the "Smiling Buddha " saga. But ever since then , they've been down the drain. But rating them now above France and UK is utter taboo.

..try and see the criteria they use... Probably they emphasised on the army not necessarily the military(the whole branches..) India has a far larger army than those country... India has more fleets and submarines than pakistan(please India is way ahead than Pakistan).. India is one of the only few countries with nuclear weapons and have more warheads than Israel..India has a good space technology program that Pakistan don't which also edges there military... Israel actually beat them in more technology and air superiority... India Marcos(marine commandoes) are one of the best 10 special forces in the world and are highly respected... So check the criteria they used and you may understand better

Belgium can boast of the latest MBPs and APCs. They have sophisticated frigates. All we can boast of here is gunboats. Have you seen the outdated aircrafts the Nigerian air force uses as fighter jets? Compared to the latest b29s and raptors the Belgians possesses? Their defence budget alone is about 7 billion dollars. Ask your self , without allied support or NATO support, if both nations should go at war who do you think would conquer who?

...you haven't been to the far northeast...this is somewhere close to Tchad and Niger... Very large expanse of land with little or no control... The route is easily plyed between the countries... There are active al-qaeda, Isis elements in Niger which made US to locate there African base in Niger... We are talking of thousand of square kilometres of empty land with little or no administration... Many of the fighters come from Niger, that's why the multi national joint force was necessary.... Local population consist of nomads sparsely located in different location, intelligence gathering will be so much difficult in that area... You can't compare that to your south east that is closely niched together...the Boko Haram issue is made complex because of the region involved with known Jihadist operating there for years... We are not just talking Nigeria but Niger, Mali( with Aqim and the Tuareg rebels), Tchad and the hostile Lake Chad region, northern Cameroon and the northern central African republic...all this elements make that region difficult with the growing insurgency around there...
