Oh okay. A number of people actually declined NNPC offer back then for various reasons. You definitely know one or two of them.

It's usually a difficult situation for a few at the moment. May God bless us all so that we can be spoilt for choice.
what happens when a few decline the employment?... Just for learning/knowledge sake

People of GOD , let's not DECIEVE ourselves...
Corona Virus is a Mysterious Virus sweeping through the universe...

No one has discovered the truth about how it is Contacted, Prevented or cured!

All Man should hold CHINEKE NA In Heaven...

If you ask me, this is one of pestilences on this Wicked World..

The End of all things is at Hand so these things should not be a SUPRISE..

The RAPTURE is sooo Close..

Accept and Hold to JESUS CHRIST in every way you can...

One thing I am know, GOD ALMIGHTY WILL PROTECT AND PRESERVE HIS OWN..
Nonsense...how Corona is contacted is known, how it is prevented is known and you don't even know that some recover from the illness, hundreds do recover from it. It is not a mystery, it is Coronavirus with same origin of the SARS virus in 2003. Both are coronaviruses...you guyz like Apocalypse talk to make everyone scared...bet me by next year we will be talking of a different thing

We'll be careful. My In-law shuttles from Kano to Aba to buy stuff for his business. He says he keeps his head down and speaks only English and pidgin and keeps speaking Hausa to a minimum due to some natives over there looking at him suspiciously and a few times have tried been aggressive with him when they learnt he speaks Hausa. Based on his experience. Just get there , do your business and get out asap.
This is not true. No one harasses you for being Hausa down south...There are a lot of hausa communities down south, no one will harass or stigmatize you for being Hausa...moreover there are many Igbos that understand and speak hausa because of businesses they do up north or have lived in the North

Oga calm down. Read the key world Muslim the Muslim among them identify as Hausa
Capital Wrong...There are many Non- Hausa Muslims in the North. I think you haven't been up north. Like the Kanuris of Borno are predominantly muslims and don't identify as hausa. Different heritage, tribe, language, culture etc...haven't you heard of the Kanem-Borno empire...there are other non-hausa Muslims up north, infact so many...

myobjective:
Don't mind the writer of that article.
Any Muslim from the northwest identify has Hausa despite having minorities in some of the states.

Muslims from States like Bauchi, Yobe, and Gombe either identify as Fulani or Hausa despite not being Hausa. Hausa is now an identity used by northern Muslims who are originally Hausa or Fulani
Please no one from Yobe, Borno, Adamawa, Plateau, Benue etc recognize as Hausa or Fulani. Borno and Yobe people are predominantly Kanuri and are proud of that. They have Christian minorities in Borno like the popular Chibok town having tribes like Margi, Babura etc. None identify as Hausa. Plateau or Jos people don't even identify as Hausa any day or anytime. Taraba has majority Jukun people who are not Hausa. Same as Adamawa that has a lot of non-hausa. Hausa is like a lingual franca in the north because it is generally spoken but ethnically not all are hausa. The real hausa are mostly in the north west, Kano, Jigawa, Kaduna(Zaria part), zamfara, katsina etc...for the Fulanis because of there nature you can see them almost everywhere in the north but are found in large numbers in Adamawa, Gombe,Bauchi...Hausa/fulani is just a term to recognize the long union between the Hausa's and Fulani...over time they intermarried, although we still have pure Fulanis and you can easily notice them by their physique and we have pure Hausas too...Southerners seem to have a wrong knowledge if this hausa, they think if someone up north speaks hausa then he is one which is very very wrong...all these tribes have their language which is not related to hausa at all

I think so.

They migrated to the North to trade as a lot of Ogbomoso people do.

Today, the largest population of Yorubas in the North are from Ogbomoso. Many of their children have never been to Ogbomoso. They are scattered all across the North.
this is quite interesting...I will do some research about it

All i know is;North is hausa and hausg is North.
Benue people are not hausa, Plateau are not hausa, Taraba , Adamawa...even Borno and Yobe who are kanuris are not hausa. The core hausa is around the Zaria, Kano axis. The Hausa spoken in the north is like a lingua franca everyone speaks but ethnically not everyone up north is hausa...Southerners make this mistake

Op failed to name Abacha. Abacha is a kanuri man from Borno from his tribal mark but adopted Kano as his state

You see why I don't exchange words with empty heads here? When and where did WHO tell you it sent samples to countries? u can't answer, but ramble back and forth stoopidly like a he goat on heat. Until 7th Nigeria didn't know what to test for or look out for. Get it into ur head Udeme WHO didn't send any samples world wide and especially not to Third World countries who don't even have the facilities to handle such virus powerful to take out billions of people. China has downplayed figures. Over 20k people are dead. Mr ITK it's not a virus to toy with and wasn't sent to Nigeria for studies. Now run along. You must be an ediot to reply me without facts.
you called me clueless now with insults...why are you behaving like an animal, am I quarreling with you. When I said there are samples you can google and see for yourself. Recently in Hong Kong and Australia a form of vaccine is already being experimented with. What are they working with? Samples!... There are other labs in the world that are working on the virus. And I said WHO do send statistical data and clinical information to all countries, this is basic and I don't need to show a link. Every country has a center for disease control and normally there are meetings with WHO occasionally. The last one was held not long ago. WHO will inform these countries at what stage the developments are at and will give advise. These data are what the Chinese Gov relay to the WHO. These countries will now use these data and strategize, this is common sense. I did not say WHO is sending virus samples to everyone. I am only highlighting the fact that the science community share information. The cure can come from anywhere. Many Nigerian scientist are all over the world working for WHO,an independent labs of theirs etc etc. Just like when you want to write a project, you go for conferences, you review past/present works, you go for symposium to know the latest trends etc. Same as this novel virus. This is not rocket science... Why you dey para

Funny enough you said the virus is not something to be toiled with, it is not even as bad the Ebola virus. The only thing making it more contagious is it is airborne. Even the fatality rate is not as same as SARS of 2003. And it is a coronavirus, same as the SARS virus but if different strain/genome. Numerous labs are having ongoing work on studying the virus. You need an electron mircroscope and possible a containment material to carry out these work. What was supplied was kits/facilities that will enable diagnosis and treatment. It doesn't prevent study and research on the sample. It is a virus, it is not Uranium or Cyanide or Nerve gas...come on!...with time the incidence rate will surely stabilize and that's what everyone is waiting for, that's to prevent further spread. Then they will handle the known cases effectively...about China underreporting cases, they are known for that. China practise a communist Gov and try to downplay a lot of things to show they are in control. Atleast as of yesterday they changed the way figures were given to douse the questions of under reporting.

You really are clueless.
Africa just got it's test kits some days ago.
Meaning that we don't know how many infected we have in our midst. So remind me again when and how where WHO shared its knowledge a virus we didn't have test kits for until 7th of feb?
You are the clueless one. Having the kits means the clinical facilities which is different from a scientist knowing the virology of the virus or having or studying the sample of the Virus. You are talking of clinical facilities which is way different from the knowledge of the Virus. You think everyone is dumb. You think knowledge is not shared between scientists which in this case are microbiologist and virologist. The fact is when there is a pending endemic from a new Virus or bacteria or whatever, the science community share and interact in effort to bringing solution. Come on!, this is like Academia...and yes WHO relay there statistical and clinical information from China to all countries of the world. Nigeria like every country have a Center for Disease Control and they are tasked in doing this...Don't be ignorant

Clueless FG.
Why don't they send lai Mohammed to go and bring back the virus for the scientists to have a sample to work with and on.
and why do you think Nigerian Scientists don't have the sample. The Science community is a global one just like in academia where knowledge is shared among scholars. The new virus is being studied all around the world by independent researchers, government funded researchers and private funded. WHO has shared its knowledge of the virus to all the countries of the world and research is going on in identifying more about the the Virus and creating a Vaccine...Lai Mohammed don't have to go and get the sample, the way you guyz talk here

Since we do know for sure that NNPC HR is following this thread, I just want to make a guess that they are enjoying the way people are unsettled about the release date. And this could mean that APL is very close. They just want to let it appear that all sources were wrong, and then unpredictably, we will just receive our APL. This will reduce the credibility of all sources thereby increasing the credibility of the whole recruitment process.
So when everyone is tired of sources, as it seems already, then will they release the APL.
My guess also is that to a large percent, the process is based on merit. However, we do know our country, FCC must play its role and that I guess will go through top politicians influence and/or top people in management.
The process is largely based on merit, FCC influence in used to balance everything so that no geopolitical zone is not properly represented.

So let your hope be alive and keep believing who/what you believe.

Remember, this is just a guess that came from personal meditation on the whole thing, comments, and sources.

APL is not far, just chill.
are you a kid...nnpc is delaying because they are following nairaland thread and want to fault all predictions, are you joking ... And you are saying it is all merit, are you a foreigner in this country or you don't know how things are done. Everyone knows merit will be but has a certain percentage
