Oga it's not social media that makes anyone to drink and bath with salt water. It is the stupidity of those doing it. Please I submitted my application for my masters in Biology (biological science / biomedical science) for 5 different schools in the US for Fall 2020 (Kent State Uni, Georgia State Uni, East Tennessee State Uni, Virginia commonwealth Uni and southern Illinois Uni).


My applications were all submitted on January 10th, 2020 except for southern Illinois Uni that was submitted since November 2019. Until now, I haven’t gotten any response yet from any of the schools.

My profile is:

BSc. Cell Biology and Genetics (2nd class upper (3.29/4.0 according to WES))
IELTS 7.5 (R 8.0, L 8.0, S 7.0, W 6.5)
GRE 296 (149 quant, 147 verbal, 3.5 A.W)
Letters of recommendation and ongoing job experience as a lab scientist (nysc).

Please does anyone have any idea on when I’m supposed to hear back from these schools? I know Admission decisions normally come in from February, but it’s not really easy waiting. I also applied for GA.

Have you emailed the Graduate coordinator and Director of graduate studies,these two are the best to tell you the status of your application...Also check gradcafe.com, search for your schools and course....you would know if they have started issuing out admission and rejects

Which airport? Cause Lagos it’s full thermal screening and a quarantine squad is on ground. Viruses evade initial screenings if its still in early contact. However before you get off the plane, the cabin crew shares a health information where you must state everything from where you visited to your present health conditions.

If you passed the thermal screening and nothing showed up but eventually they detect an outbreak. They can easily trace you and trace the origin of the virus entry.

What am I defending...everything is partisan, please I am no PDP or APC guy... I only say what I know. So tell me your views. How did countries like UK, France, US, Russia,Germany etc all have people with the virus. What did they do that should have been done better. Some are saying you should ban countries but it is becoming pandemic. As of 2 days ago about 24 countries had it. As of today about 50 countries has it. Who will you ban...will you quarantine the whole country and ban flights in and out ?...there are even carriers that haven't shown symptoms and very difficult to detect and this can be secondary infections meaning the individual can be from any country ....it is not just Italy, China or Korea

Like someone said, if the US, UK, Germany cannot prevent it, stop deceiving yourself that a Buffon like Jonathan could. This virus will spread in Nigeria because we lack hygiene and pack ourselves in crowds....nobody can stop that not PDP not APC. Quite honestly I refuse to beleive this was the 1st case in Nigeria.
