Telling someone to LOOK FOR MONEY to buy okirika clothes and rent a single room isn't as easy as you spell it....


If you look for money to rent a house(year) and then struggle to get a job...You will know that one year is like yesterday, when your landlord/landlady comes knocking for house rent again.....


For me, get a skill while staying with your parents...then save up and relocate to a different city...Forget about love, and don't carry any woman along because, you will never make rough decisions that can pave ways... like sleeping anywhere to manage for a certain period or doing dirty menial jobs without feeling embarrassed or ashamed ..

Then, use ur savings to rent a place and seek for a job. Try to get a job within two months and began to save again...

When you are balanced a little, try to practice your skills while working and do little side hustles with it..... and check if you can go fully into it...


Hold your balance enough and explore from there....

I have different ideas for you op,

share the 1m into 5 places,

1). try invest 200k on cucumber farming and in 2-3 months you will make profits,

also make sure you buy hybrid seeds,

if you dont have the time try meet an expert trusted cucumber farmer and partner with him
try check agricultural threads here in nairaland

2), invest 200-300k on bet9ja agent shop

3). With 200k do try and get a little plot of land and practice vertical sack bag farming of pepper and tomatoes,

trust me this one itself is a goldmine if you can set it up properly,

a basket of tomatoes and pepper is from 4k upwards and you can get many baskets per harvest.

4). With 400k you can split the money to different places,

maybe invest on foodstuff business,

but i know one of my relatives that farms garden eggs and ugu in my hometown anambra state!

she supplies garden eggs to different villages for burial ceremonies and some other entertainment centers and make thousands of naira from it,

who says ugu is profitable than garden eggs?

Travel down to the east and see how garden egg is been sold like hotcake

garden egg is a food that must be eaten in any traditional gathering occation in the east,

so to me garden egg will be ok to plant there in the east.
what sells well here in the city will probably not sell well in villages

thats is why it is advicable to plant your seeds in dry seasons or very much closer to the rainy season,

or better still plant them indoors so when they are 3-4 weeks then you can transplant them in your farms

am considering going for hybrid seeds in my next planting season.

It seems to grow much faster than all this local seeds,

even be it pepper,okro,tomato,cucumber,watermelon etc

hybrid seeds is just really the best,
but the big deal is that hybrid seeds are very much expensive.

But am sure in 3-4 harvest you would have recovered back the money used to buy the hybrid seeds!

I went to the farm today only for the rains to have started.
I have to run back home to hide my head from the rain

afterall the ground is wet so no need for watering it again for like 3-4 days from now

The rains have started and we have watering the plants more easily now,

one thing okro plants thrive for best are manures,

adequate manure and weeding are key to successfully growing an okro plant,

okro can survive any weather conditions be it dry or very wet seasons,

but mind you this is the proper time for you to grow all types of vegetables,

the rains are here so anything planted this period will surely do well!

We travel abroad. We have gone to Isreal and seen the agricultural exploits there. But we are not willing to bring them home.
When we sow, instead of our money to be invested into ventures like agriculture that would alleviate the sufferings of the weak ones among us, we channel the money to an atheist in Germany who designed MOG's customised car.
We channel the money to Buddhists in China where we buy our building materials. We channel the money to a gay in America who produced the sound system and lighting system.
We channel the money to a Muslim in Dubai who did the interior decoration of our "magnificent" church building...what a Capital Flight!

The thing is, I have never gone to search for a job in my life, while in school, I was into photography so I used that to sustain myself.

After school, I worked in a construction company and I later had my own company and had almost ten employees. Well last year I lost everything and reality dawned on me.

I have too kids and a beautiful wife to take care of.

Now to the main koko. Am 6.2ft tall and faaaaat but now, the fat Don turn fitted when hunger Wan kill me so I set out to job hunt.

After series of trials and interviews, job no enter o. Least I forget, I fresh small, OK I resemble butty pickin.

Begged family to raise me to start over, found none. Close friends nko, shishi dem no fit raise me and sincerely I didn't blame anybody after all no be dem cause my wahala.

So I set out to do menial jobs, the ones I could find was bricklaying or packing of block. Anytime I get there, their response is always, SHEY I THINK SAY U FIT DO THIS KIN WORK? YOU THIS BUTTY PICKIN
OR I SABI THE KIN WORK WEY YOU FIT DO.

TRIED series of places, it was the same response until one Man decided to give me a trial.
First job was to carry sand from point A to point B. I almost fainted but was doing strong man cos all eyes were on me.

Secondly I was asked to bring cement now this is the funny part. One very tiny guy called levels was the one bringing the cement, not more than 5.6ft tall, as in tiny o, so seeing him, I believed it will be an easy task and I tried to carry 50kg bag all by myself, I couldn't even raise it to chest level when I scatter for ground and everyone burst out laughing. Tried severally to no avail until someone helped me.

Now after mixing, it was time to serve the bricklayers. Worked from 8 till 12 and I was already having Back ache and Head ache. Infact all my body was aching and I told them I can't continue. They should give whatever they feel like giving me until they told me if I didn't finish with them till evening, no kobo for me.

I Sha manage work till 7:30pm and they paid me 1700 instead of 1500 just to pity my condition.
I was bedridden for almost three days after

Greetings one and all. I'll try to make my lamentation as short as possible.

My mother accused me of stealing her 2k, but I assure you, I didn't. The money got missing on Thursday night according to her and my 13 year old brother. I won't do such a thing, because the times are hard and the pandemic is fueling this hard times. I'm not lazy, I kind of work from home, I write for opera news hub and to some extent I get money from there, currently I have 19k in my account. I have no motive of taking her money, but she insists I took it, and is currently threatening to throw me out of the house.
