When I saw my highly successful young pastor of a big church using glasses to read the bible while preaching...and from what I've learnt from my couz...if they take off that glass, na wahala o.
...and this is a pastor that has not healed himself...praising God even in his infirmity.
Calm down, let God shine through you, disability notwithstanding.
nairalanda1: Yeah, Kemi is not a Nigerian , she is a brit.
Infact, she is even taking a risk by giving this interview, because her detractors will say that she identifies as an African more than being British, which would lead to complications. She should be careful
As for her comments about Hausas, well, Nigeria is a contraption of over 300 tribes that have nothing in common with each other. Even before colonial rule, there was no such thing as Yoruba or Hausa nation. When even Yorubas were taking slaves from other Yoruba polities, ditto Hausas and even Igbos. Unity was forced upon these tribes by colonial rule which meant that everyone had a common enemy, and people sought to unite, and thus tribe became more important than origin.
NIgeria, as I said is a contraption. The problem is, breaking it up would lead to chaos. Before whitey united us in countries we were not all holding hands around the fire singing kumbayah. We fought each other, took slaves from each other, and many tribes were divided into small countries and nations. Infact some people who are supposedly Yoruba , Hausa or Igbo were once separate tribes from the big three. Colonial rule brought about tribal unity. Otherwise, when whitey came around, there was civil war among the Yorubas, and IBo land was a divided piece of realestate. *Yes, go and read things fall apart, where Okonkwo remembers the war against isike...those were not people from another tribe, they were IGBOS. Hausa land was divided into several kingdoms which fought each other, and were only united by Danfodio...and even then all he did was replace the elite with Fulanis. (and the fuianis are divided self, even today).
All in all, Kemi is lost to our country. She is a black briton. She is no longer Nigerian...if she ever was.
I've always held that opinion. We need a working Nigeria, more than regional secession.
If Biafra comes, the oil regions will claim leadership. Imo and Rivers state will go to war over their shared oil rich boundary. Enugu will still keep hating on Imo people. Ebonyi will be the minority/underdogs. Hausa vs Fulani Niger delta already has internal wars amongst the ijaws and other tribes in the delta. Lagos will press their neck in the west.
Infact, instead of eldorado, we'll become the next Somali land or Sudan
CodeTemplar: I know your inability to think independently will push you to attribute my "perspective" to where your thick upper level thinks i have been or not been to. Can you kindly prove me wrong by providing us an invention by a Nigerian based scientist that contradicts my claim?
Dr. Adedibu of blessed memory.
She created the cure for ebola virus.
That's an invention in Health science.
Elon Musk...oya come and buy this tech company for our next Tesla.
Victor Osimhen, our beloved Super Eagles striker and Galatasaray goal-machine, has suffered a hamstring injury that could keep him OUT FOR THE REST OF THE SEASON!
The injury occurred during Galatasaray's Süper Lig match against Sivasspor on Sunday. He was substituted in the 76th minute due to the injury, which was later diagnosed as a moderate strain and bleeding in the right posterior upper muscle group.
This is a huge blow to the Super Eagles' 2026 World Cup qualifying campaign, and Osimhen's absence will be deeply felt by the team. Can Nigeria find a capable replacement for Osimhen?
Lanretoye: phone he bought or phone he was given, pls come here to read comments if you know you don’t have reasonable one to make. Since you know it all,you could just buy the phone from him.
I scrolled up to see your own reasonable comment....
Look around your street...how many cars and buildings do you see? Close to 100 buildings in each street...with probably 90 different Landlords.
Now repeat this scenario for every other place your mind can conceive.
Now answer me truly...do you think all these residential buildings which costs atleast 15million to build, were acquired thru occultism? You believe the whole landlords in your street are using something?
...and real estate is just one arm...that can open you up to more wealth. Transportation...normal salary earner in oil and gas/tech are "successful" without need for spiritual back-up. ......
Look around you...most of the people that were schooling and working/doing business during their school days, are all established 3-5yrs after graduation.
Yemike: Stop hating bro, every song fade away including gospel music. You only remember when someone sing/play it to your hearing.
Omooooo with the hype...e suppose be Christmas banger.
Well, truly every song fades with time...even tho some songs are termed Evergreen.
...and I stand corrected...only one or two tracks in his last 2 albums are dope. Both Wiskid and Davido are singing mid these days......compared to someone like Burna boy who's been upping his game so far.
Well music is a unique creativity...it's what comes to your heart that you will sing/compose. The appeal is...somehow beyond their control.
He was honoured for his Financial Partnership with Rhapsody of Realities- the devotional booklet distributed around the world, to reach and transform lives with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Partnership in sharing the gospel is a call for everyone.
It's like the way we give aid and alms, to help the needy from all spheres of life. Elon also chose to give his own aid to a course that transforms the mind, soul and body.
Whether you believe church stories, miracles and doctrines, you can't argue against the fact that the church plays a role in the formation of one's character. Family, school, religion, environment....all these does impact the mindset of the people. Besides, Christ embassy doesn't just teach prayer and miracles, they also teach one to live an excellent life in all ramifications.
Check their members, check the settings and ideologies of their church. Pastor Chris Oyakhilome is renowned for setting the bar in organised Christian gathering in Nigeria...their settings are always always always top notch.
